Parabellum Armament AKARSâ„¢ (AK Adaptive Rail System)

Recommended Posts

I am looking for a rail system for my AK. I have heard that side mounted rails are much better than the dust cover mounted. Has anyone heard of the AKARS mounting system? It seems real new to the market and I like the look, but it's a not inexpensive. I have included a video of it being installed to provide more insight into its design. At one point the guy in the video says "this is the first time I have installed one of these". I call BS! He works for the company.

Anyone have first hand experience with this?

What are you mounting your optics on? Pictures would be great.

i've been looking at both of them. i think i will end up with the akars simply because it still have a rear backup sight built in to it. now if i could just find one that isn't 5 weeks out.

After looking at the AKARS more I don't like it. Too complicated for what it needs to be. To each his own, but I'll stick with the TWS. BTW - The TWS also has a BUIS that actually increases the sight radius and makes a big difference.
