Went out to today with my .62 calibre smoothbore flintlock. A good day of shooting! No hangfires, misfires, hickups, or anything else, just good, consistent, perfect ignition, shot after shot!!!

Already looking forward to doing it next week!

I had intended to do some pistol shooting as well, but because of the IDPA match being held (this was at MSSA), the pistol ranges were shut down.

I know, an odd combination, but after I shoot my flintlocks, I then go over and practice with my carry gun.....:)

*sigh* Hornet Handler and I were thinking about going to the range yesterday but we ended up hitting a few snags while working on his wife's car. This weather is almost too nice to be shooting indoors... may have to give the Hobson Pike outdoor range a try soon!

You are right. I went to Gallatin Gun Club today for about an hour and a half.. plinked away with my XD-45 and semi auto .22 rifle with a little scope (Marlin model 60) at a steel plate @ 200 yards. I was wearing it out with .22 as would be expected and even hit it a few times with the XD :)

I didn't have a reason to shoot today. I didn't need one. It was so damn nice I just wanted to be outside.
