Most of the other caliber uppers for the AR like 6.8 SPC & 6.5 Grendel and 7.62x39 all use standard lowers.

The .458 socom also uses a standard lower, so you would be GTG.

You can order custom engraved lowers, but the caliber markings itself aren't what i'd choose.

Look up Zombie Engravings or Infidel Engravings for fun!

i dont want either one of those, just a standard lower( good to high quality) engraved with .458socom instead of 5.56mm. i know i CAN use a standard lower but want a dedicated engraved lower. im not one of these people that have 16 lowers and 22 uppers and swap them out back and forth when they get bored

Why does it have to be engraved 458? they usually cost a few bucks more for the exact same part, with a different marking on it.

Sun Devil Mfg seem to be some of the best low-to-mid priced lowers out there.

just a pet peeve i have, just like i wouldnt put super sport badges on a base model camaro.

it will never be swapped back to 5.56mm so might as well get a engraved dedicated lower.

But wouldn't this be like taking the badges off an SS, and replacing them with RS logos?

Essentially making it a sleeper? (If you are using the 4th gen F-body as an example, since the RS logo only denoted an appearance package such as ground effects and spoiler, with no engine work)

kinda. but not really. itd be like taking a rs and putting a LS1 in it and leaving the rs badges on it. starts out without much oooomph, but when you get done, its considerably better than it was.

as far as i know there was no RS/SS. as in a rs appearance with the SS performance. only sporty body w/ v6 or base body w/ v8
