Making G3 mags fit in Cetme

Recommended Posts

I got some G3 mags from a website claiming they fit in all Cetme rifles. Well they don't. I know I just need to file down the little tab thingy at the top of the mag, I'm just wondering what a good tool is for this.

If you have G3 mags that fit without ANY alterations whatsoever then you have a CETME built with a G3 mag catch in the magazine well. CAI used a mix of parts on some of their earlier rifle builds. Ebow is dealing with a real CETME mag latch. Either the latch itself can be filed to accept the smaller indentations on G3 mags or he can open up the catch area on the G3 mags. Since G3 mags are so cheap I would personally alter the mags versus the rifle. I can attest that his rifle is 100% in spec as I am the one that sold it to him.
