Just picked this up and added the Surefire forend. It's the older incandescent model so I ordered a Malkoff M61 LED conversion for it. Should be here tomorrow. It started out as a 20" barrel. I cut it to about 18.25" and refinshed the end. So right now it doesn't have any sort of bead. I was wanting to get some recommendations on sights. I really don't want to go back with a bead.

Also who is using a Mesa Tactical side saddle. I like the idea of one. Just don't know how the reality of one would be.

Here is a picture of it before I cut the barrel. I had to either cut the barrel or get a 3 shot extention for it. It was driving me crazy.

I don't like side saddles at all, speedfeed stocks on the other hand are great, and it looks like you've already got that covered.

As far as sights I prefer ghost ring, but if you are not capable of brazing on (or can't afford to have someone do it for you) the front sight post then I'd probably suggest going with a rugged holo/reflex sight like an Eotech or an Aimpoint or a Trijicon or something.
