Well, my receiver is here. Money order, Form 1, and citizenship form are in the envelope. Trust is complete and on my way to get notarized this morning. And then it will be in the mail.:)

Just one small question, is it okay to send the packet in a large manilla envelope, or should I try to stuff everything in to a regular large white one?

And should I send it signature confirmation?

FWIW, I would send it Fed-Ex or Brown. The tracking is better than USPS. What you are sending is important and to cheep out on how it gets there won't be worth it if it gets 'lost'.

Just a thought.

I've done 3 form 4's and I used a manilla envelope. I used USPS w/ delivery confirmation. Don't take em long to cash the 200.00 check, cant say as much for the rest of there services.

Awesome. Best of luck. Sending my lowers out tomorrow, for engraving at the factory, and mailing out my payment and forms to the BATFE as soon as my Trust is notarized (sometime this week). So I'll be waiting right beside ya. :)

thought I would update this. MO was cashed on 7-15. I have been a busy boy with Brownells and Midway. My lower is complete, I think, and all of my upper parts have been ordered. Here is the lower, and I will be storing the upper at my brother in law's when it gets here.

Yeah still waiting on it...though Joe was nice enough to let me hold it last time i was up there lol

If I decide to SBR my S-12 I can send all the forms off and enjoy the gun full length until they come back right..that way I dont lose use of the gun waiting for it to be cut?

Yep. The idea of building a midlength 16" bbl upper for my AR has hit me more than once lately, but I can't afford to do it right now. It sure would be nice to have a legal upper to go use until I get my tax stamp back though. :koolaid:

Yes, ours will be extremely similar. If I didn't already have the LaRue 7.0 rail I would be doing exactly what you're talking about. I keep reminding myself that I wanted it to be stupid-proof so the FSB is probably more in keeping with that mentality even though people rarely if ever have problems with the folders.

What day did you actually send your paperwork off to the BATFE?

10.5" that is a shorty....how much does that affect ballistics on the 5.56?

Ballistics aren't really that much of a concern to me on a CQB rifle where you typically wouldn't engage targets beyond 50yds. The idea here is bringing a rifle caliber to a handgun fight. :koolaid:

I mailed it on 7-02, but with the holiday weekend they didn't actually get it till 7-07, cashed on the 15th. So I'm really less than a month in to the waiting.

They received mine on the 21st so I'm much less into it than you are. I never bothered to look and see if they had cashed my cashier's check or not. If current trends on M4C are any indication, you and I may see our stamps close to the 50 day point. Some have reported close to 30, others closer to 60.

What else are you using in your build? It looks like our rifles are REALLY similar since we both went with Spikes lowers, Magpul CTR stocks and LMT 10.5 uppers.

My lower has a Spike's LPK, Tango down grip ( not sure if I am staying with that), commercial CTR, 6 position tube, H buffer, carbine spring, and Pmag, and ordered some KNS anti-walk pins. The upper is an LMT, with Midwest Industries 9 inch FF rails and Magpul ladder covers, Midwest lo profile gas block, KAC vertical fg, MI front sight (H&K styke), YHM rear, Phantom flash hider and Eotech 512. At least that is the way have it configured right now (with the parts I have ordered), but who knows what I may change after it is built.

I am finally done, well at least as done as i can make it until the stamp gets here. All the parts arrived this weekend and I went to the brother in law's last night to put them together. He is storing the upper for me until I get the stamp. Now on to the porn:
