Another newbie

With the user name Sam_I_am it's obvious, if not redundant, to say my name is Sam.  I've lived in South Florida or the Bahamas for nearly 58 years.  I collect/deal in a variety of coins, currency, tokens, and small antiques/collectibles.  I am part Volunteer by virtue of my mother having been born and raised in Chattanooga.  She was a product of Chattanooga's public schools and a proud graduate of U.C. in the late thirties, long before it became U.T.C.  I frequently visited my Grandparents, Uncle and assorted cousins in Chattanooga in the 50's & 60's, resulting in an affinity for Civil War history and history in general.  I've occasionally come across TGO forum threads when researching collectibles and therefore have chosen to join to enable my participation.
