October Meet and Greet - No Shoot

How about a weekend in October for the Memphis faction of TGO to get together at a park with the kids to enjoy nice weather and each others company with no guns involved?

I can't always get to the range when I want to but I can usually get the wife to go to the park with the kids to get some energy out.

I like the "no guns involved" part. Makes it sound like we're a bunch of gang leaders trying to broker a peace deal. I don't think Mrs. Double and I are going anywhere this month; we could do it. And this is the best time of year to do stuff outside. Love the weather.

I have not been able to make any of the Friday night get togethers, due to my Lodge's meeting is held on Fridays.

Sounds good to me. I work Fridays and Saturdays, but Friday and Saturday nights and Sunday all day are open for me. I'd love to have another get-together, maybe a football game or something like that.

The "meeting other women who shoot, but not meeting at the range" thing will definitely help the girlfriend's confidence and interest as well.

So, other than a park or restaurant, anybody have ideas/dates they're willing to throw out?

There are plenty of parks around. We could meet at Shelby Farms where the playground is so the kids can have fun. I haven't spoken of this with Ms. Saintsfan but any chance we get to take the kids to the park is usually appreciated.

How about mid October?

Park time with the children is always a blast.

Keep in mind that parks are off-limits for concealed carry (or open). This may turn off some otherwise interested folks.

Besides, they wont worry about the G34...they know it will just shoot YOU in the ass anyway.

I might make it...depends on the time. I'm supposed to head out to the a friend's house for the afternoon to shoot on her new range.

If I can't make this one we should definitely do another one soon. I'm all for it! Anyone who ever wants to meet up on Mondays or Fridays and shoot at Range USA can always hit me up as well.

I think we could do one meet-n-greet and one meet-n-shoot a month, but we'd have to plan at least the shoot a while in advance to make sure it works for the most people.

Any update on Range USA repairs/upgrades?
