Open Carry... your thoughts.

Recommended Posts

The other day I was in Home Depot walking down the isle and there was a man in his 50's carrying open.  I paused for a minute behind him.  He was reading something about a product and had no idea I was behind him.  I notice that his gun was in an open holster and I could have easily snatched it before he knew what was happening.  I was going to say something but decided against that as he might not like my suggestions.

Are you absolutely sure that you could have "snatched" that gun from the gents holster without getting bitch slapped across the aisle? Just because there is no lock and key across the holster a well fitted leather holster can hold guns quite tightly. Very few of my leather holsters have a safe strap and everyone of them I'm sure would securely hold my gun in place even if I was hanging upside down like a bat....

The left undermines our Second Amendment rights by using a lot of arguments about what could possibly potentially maybe perhaps result from carrying guns.  Their mentality is driven by an irrational fear of the gun itself.

That mentality is dangerous because it results in a persistent coordinated effort to intrusively regulate the way others live their lives - despite the responsibility, and God-given rights, of the people they seek to regulate.

I try to avoid judging open carriers on the basis of what could possibly potentially maybe perhaps result from the open carry of a handgun.  And I trust my fellow Tennessean to make choices - about his handgun, and about his life in general - that best suit his own circumstances.

Well said.....
