  1. If you're going to be in Cool Springs, there's a place that recently opened call Inside Out. It's an indoor playground. I don't know what's inside but I work near it. It's near the Galleria, maybe 1/2 mile away(down Baker's Bridge Rd over I-65)
  2. I tend to gravitate to the Kahr PM45
  3. I loved my G32 but cost to much to shoot a lot. When I bought it, a box of target ammo was $13, now it's $26 so I sold it. If I were to get another Glock to carry it would most likely be 23 or 27, ammo is reasonably priced and readily available. If I planned on just target shooting a 9mm would be my choice.
  4. I would find the one YOU want and save some money until you have enough to buy it. You will get a hundred different opinions but if your not happy with what you spend $600 on now, every time you pass that gun it the case you really wanted your $600 further away from buying it.
  5. I always admired the look of a PPK but at the time did not want to shell out the money so I opted for a nickel Thunder .380. It was a great gun, I loved how it shot. I read an article a couples years back on how it was more accurate than the Sig and the Walther. I also recommended it to a friend of mine and he loved his too but has since traded it four times over. Now that Hornady has the Critical Defense line for .380, IMO you can't go wrong with the Bersa.
  6. I too have had both a Glock and a 1911. I love how a 1911 feels, shoots and looks but for personal defense the choice without hesitation would be Glock. No manual safeties, no cocked and locked, torture tested reliability, readily available high cap mags and simple tear down just to give you a few reasons. Bullet chambered, ready to fire and in a high stress situation the simplest gun is my choice.
  7. What do you think the appropriate age is to let your child start shooting. I have a six year old and would like to let him shoot a .22. Is this too young? My dad let me start at the age of eight.
  8. It's a mini 30 and I've been contemplating a barrel upgrade, reloading or both, but if sub-moa is unlikely with 7.62 than it's probably not worth the investment.
  9. Thanks for info. I assumed the bullets were main reason this caliber's accuracy was low on so many different guns. I guess I'll just keep this rifle as my 100 yd brush gun.
  10. I did some searching and found I can get A TACS in hydrographics. Has anyone used any of hydrographic businesses in TN? I would prefer to stay local.
  11. They sold the business to a guy in columbia? I would be interested in the info, I'm looking to get hydrographics on my stock.
  12. I'm wanting to get a stock finished in A-TACS camo. Is this possible?
  13. Thanks for the link, I spent an hour watching his videos. I will be sending my trigger to him shortly! I saw another gunsmith who puts a screw in front of the trigger to decrease the take-up and it looked very sketchy. I definitely feel confident having Gun Doc perform the work.
  14. 1968 Camaro- 327, turbo 350 trans, 4.56 posi. I was 16 and THOUGHT I knew how to make it fast! Totally mismatched cam/intake/carb/converter/gear combo! It came with a 307 I rebuilt (absolutely unnecessary, but like I said I was 16) using an inch/lbs torque wrench that my dad had, not even realizing it wasn't ft/lbs. The head gaskets were pouring out coolant so I just tightened them down as tight as I could, got it running and drove about 2 miles until #1 and #2 rods went through the oil pan! That's when the 327 came into place. I look back and wish I would have left it alone, saved all the money I wasted on bs and just drove it and been happy with what I had. Hind sight is definitely 20/20.
  15. Is it possible to get sub-moa accuracy with a semi auto in 7.62X39 or are there too many inconsistencies with ammo? What are the most accurate ammo brands anyone has found in this calber.
  16. Have you had any trigger work performed? I actually have a mini 30 with a 17" barrel and the Mo-reaper muzzle brake/front sight. I have been considering a new barrel from accuracy systems inc but if I could decent groups with a strut, trigger job and the muzzle brake it might not be worth it, unless of course I did a 6.5 Grendel conversion. Life would be so much easier if I didn't love the mini, I could just join the AR crowd!!
  17. Has anyone tried the Mo-rod on a Mini 14 or Mini 30? I've considered getting one but wanted to see if anyone has used one, and if really does improve accuracy.
  18. My favorite three: Mini 30, 12 gauge coach and PPK The runner up!! Remington 700 vtr in .308. Traded in my Colt Commander for it. The whole collection, minus the Glock 32 I just sold :-\. p.s. the pink P22 is the wife's
  19. I have a coach gun i've considered doing this to. The tax stamp cost $200?
  20. Sorry, I must have missed the first post protocol rule in faq. I have been browsing this website frequently for months, mainly the classifieds and I had a question I thought I might be able to get good info for. I apologize to all members for my ignorance.
  21. Has anyone around Nashville had a Tattoo removed? If so what type of laser was used and how were the results?
