  1. What optic is that?
  2. Navy Seal shot himself while drunk last night in front of a woman he brought home from the bar. He was showing her how safe a 9mm is. Link below for story and video: http://www.opposingviews.com/i/society/guns/video-navy-seal-geno-clayton-shoots-self-head-unloaded-gun http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&cd=1&ved=0CCQQqQIwAA&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.wfmj.com%2Fstory%2F16464800%2Fnavy-seal-from-the-valley-accidentally-shoots-himself&ei=z8sIT6msB4KusQLtweSQCg&usg=AFQjCNEmlwF9Eb-onHjpMnpff8euTeH41Q
  3. I am seriously worried of another AWB myself! Makes me wanna go buy another AK right now!
  4. Same here never used a wrench. Used my finger to depress the plunger and slid the bushing over. As Beowulf said this would not be possible if you have a full length as you may need a wrench or pin for a full length. If you gun has a "button" on the muzzle which is your plunger, just press with finger. The recoil spring does not contain a lot of pressure, it is very easy. Slide the bushing to the left, remove plunger and spring, slide the plunger all the way right and remove outward.
  5. Very nice! Thanks for all the info. Now I just need to justify it lol
  6. I was reading that the Valors were superior to the lower end Wessons, naturally looks like the Valor VBOB will cost me 1740. Does this sound about right? It has the duty coat, commander size. How does the duty coat hold up compared to other coatings like Springers Teflon?
  7. Yeah I had the TRP and a few others and just figured I would ask. Just didn't know if the price was worth it or not for their quality. If I wanted one I would have to buy online cause I cannot find one in town.
  8. Anyone have any positive or negative comments on Dan Wesson Valor model 1911's?
  9. I have had the p220 and liked it very much. I know that Valor is nice!
  10. Winchester Defender 1300. No longer made as of 2005. 18" barrel pump with factory 8 round tube. Very light and very fast cycling while being effective.
  11. After all the consideration I have decided to keep my P229 Elite Dark .40, to buy extra SCT mags, and to like what I got until I buy my Arsenal AK and Ruger Super Redhawk Alaskan. Hopefully this summer I will be ordering my Knights Armament NightHawk with suppressor. Thanks everyone!
  12. It's not the caliber I like cause I love .357 Sig/ or .40 I have both barrels, but I more or less like the 1911 style. I guess it comes down to 13 rounds .357 or 9 rounds .45. What would you guys rather have? I think I am gonna stick with .357Sig lmao
  13. Sig 1911's are nice but I just cannot get that external extractor through my head, same for S&W 1911's. I know it's stupid but I just know me. I definitely do not want a full size cause the weight, even with great holsters I get tired of the weight quick of a full, but commander size is ok, so this rules out Remington and Ruger. As far as Kimber, I'm scared to death from all the horror stories. The Raptor Pro and SIS are nice along with a few others such as Super Carry Pro II HD bobbed but I keep hearing the huge amounts of negativity about all the new Kimbers. I have buddies that have them and all is good and other buddies have nightmare problems. I just don't know. I'll probably just stick with my Sig's.
  14. I am looking at adding another pistol into the rotation or swapping my current pistol, P229 in .40/.357 for another...maybe? I have been looking into the FN Five Seven, Dan Wesson Valor VBOB, or Colt Commander Blued. I love 1911's and Sigs and trust both of them. I feel the Sig has more options but I feel like I am missing out without a 1911. I really like the Dan Wesson Valor but 1700 is steep. I have had Glocks, Springfield 1911's and almost everything else lmao. I love the capacity of the Five Seven though. Something about that Dan Wesson though just makes me want it lmao
  15. My grandfather got me into firearms but I grew up in a firearms free household. My dad was not that into them. I had pellet guns and such as a kid but always stared at my grandpas gun cabinet and he carried a .38 special Smith for over 30 years. I purchased my first pistol in 2005 and lost my butt on it from inexperience, dang Raven Arms .25, and what's funny is my stepdad sold it to me. I was going to buy a Rossi .357 snub from him too but my mom stopped that lol. Needless to say, I have the most firearms knowledge of anyone in my family now and I love shooting and firearms more than any other hobby I have; collecting movies, horror mainly lmao that's my story!
  16. I say take the problem out of rotation. Put that mag in your bag or toss it whatever u do dont put in the same drawer as your defense/carry mags. I am not sure on the followers but if they are super cheap get one and try it in your mag at the range put about 100 rounds through it. If all good, I would trust it! Secondly I have had Glocks but only have Sigs now because I like an all metal gun. I carry my Sig P229 with a TLR-1S at night and in the house. Keep your finger off the trigger and your gun won't fire where the light is unless you want it too. There are plenty of agencies and civilians alike that use pistol mounted lights. This is just my opinion.

    Sig MK25

Very nice pistol!! Are you gonna carry it or admire it? LMAO
  18. In today's economy I will buy from the cheapest person possible. sorry but my funds are not unlimited. I have been to that store and yes the prices I cannot justify and my whole family lives in Brentwood/Franklin area which is unfortunate that they think merchandise should cost more for the same product.
  19. It is a Milspec cause of the front sight. The GI model has a front sight that cannot be changed unless it is machined out and dovetailed. I have always had Springfield 1911. Now that doesn't mean it's not a nice piece. What is he asking? I once had a GI model I had all done up by Wilson Combat parts and I sold it for $900. All depends on what it's specs are.
  20. I'm sticking with; if it ain't broke don't fix it lol how does grease work compared to a good lube such as KeLube or Froglube synthetic.
  21. A rifle that has to go back to a manufacturer at 1k? Doesn't sound good?
  22. I was already thinking about that! Thanks for telling me. Hopefully CTD sends quality products that have not been tampered with but I guess there is always a possibility of a dud coming out of the factory. Have you had problems with new guns from online retailers?
  23. If the world goes to crap I'm pulling off doors and boarding up my brick house. I gotta go buy some nails lol besides that we got enough canned food an excellent pistol and my 2 scatter guns. I definitely need extra ammo though!
  24. No it's just the transfer fee that is 10 then TICS is 10
  25. Awesome! I used to be into knives alot and I have a ZT350 I carry. Great knife! I have to say though yours Hinderers sure are nice!
