  1. Charlie, if you're just learning the ropes, don't limit yourself to just chasing trout. Bluegill are a blast on a flyrod, and they're spawning now. Find a pond or lake with shallow banks and wear 'em out. I've flyfished for many years, still do, but tend to chase "other species" nowadays. I've caught redfish in Florida on fly, and poor man's redfish, aka common carp, up here along the banks of the Cumberland river during summer time. My best, a 12 lb carp, is quite the battle on a fly rod!
  2. Bump for nice gun ... and a pretty decent feller selling it. Heard a lot of positive reviews on these Cosaints.
  3. Nice shape for its age, shiny bore. I am assuming it is a 7x57 caliber but it is not marked anywhere and I've never shot it.
  4. I believe we're just at the cutting edge of war machine drones for battle. I saw a program the other day on how Ukraine had gotten really good at jamming Russian drones (and vice versa), so now Russia has a new one that flies by wire (fiber optic cable) up to 12 miles. No signal to jam ... so jammers won't stop it.
  5. It's pretty in person...for some reason the lighting makes the nickel look really scratchy! It has fine scratches, but not as bad as it looks in the photos!
  6. Classy nickel Smith 59 with one 14 rd factory mag and one 17 rd Mec-Gar mag. Excellent condition for being over 40+ years old (Smith built these from 1971-82) $550 (sorry, no trades, still thinning the herd)
  7. Russian Baikel single shot 410, this was an earlier one before Remington stamped their name on it. Shoots a tight group, but front bead is missing. Couldn't find one to fit, probably metric. $200 FTF Murfreesboro
  8. Norinco SKS, spike bayonet, strap, cleaning kit in stock, excellent shape. Comes with optional metal extended magazine and 100 rounds of ammo. If it's been shot, it hasn't been much. Never shot by me. FTF Murfreesboro - $600
  9. S&W 22A with 2x Tasco scope and 3 magazines. Missing rear sight, how I got it (removed to mount scope). FTF Murfreesboro $350 GONE
  10. I'd like to see the holster that thing would fit in!
  11. Very clean M44, shiney bore. Russian hammer & sickle marking, dated 1945. I have some ammo I'll make available to the buyer at a discounted price. - $500 GONE
  12. From limited research (www.mosinmuseum.com) this appears to be a Finnish M91. It has the VKT marking (indicating Finnish barrel), straight barrel (no step) and two piece stock (pic shows where they "spliced" new forearms to existing rear.) FTF, no trades, $400 Murfreesboro
  13. Unfortunately my ex took all my Bangor Punta blue boxes (with others she thought trash) and put them out to the curb on garbage day, many years ago, before I had a chance to round them up. Things that make you go hmmmm.
  14. Bought this new in 1982. It's in really nice shape considering its 43 years old! Used it for metallic silhouette matches and challenging squirrel hunts. It has an 8 3/8" barrel, factory target grips, target hammer and target trigger. As all older Smiths, a really clean, light trigger pull. It has a recessed cylinder and partridge front sight. There is slight holster wear near the muzzle which I tried to show. $1000 for me to part with this safe queen, sorry, not interested in trades, shrinking my collection.
  15. Have 5 to sell, $15 each or will trade for same mag in 20 round version.
  16. Oh, I like this. It has a snowball in hell chance of passing ... but I still like it. I have my dad's old goose gun ... a double barrel 32" full choke 10 gauge ... that should work nicely. https://fox17.com/news/local/tennessee-congressman-proposes-allowing-property-owners-to-shotgun-low-flying-drones?fbclid=IwY2xjawI-hWFleHRuA2FlbQIxMAABHTxmemrHZvs3NsO5ZIkH6AUQwD5qqI0hzLSVJw4kgIdFBRkzAjlacWAqMw_aem_t8DH4b3aIZTeP6wsiejuLw
  17. I totally understand. I started selling off deer rifles about 5 years ago ... I averaged using about 3-4 different rifles per season. I started feeling silly about it and sold off quite a few, some that hurt like my Mannlichers in 6.5x55 and .243 ... a few Ruger 77s...at least half a dozen lever actions. I'm finally down to half a dozen deer caliber rifles and half a dozen varmint caliber rifles. Think I'm good to go now. I understand the recoil thing. I no longer desire it at 70. I sold my Weatherby Ultra Lite .300 Weatherby Mag years back...that one hurt ... my shoulder that is. Somebody is going to get a nice rifle from you, I hope they hunt the heck out of it.
  18. Bump for a beautiful rifle ... but ... Kimber, if you really like it, use it! Quick story, my dad bought a beautiful new German made .300 Weatherby Mark V in 1967 for a hunt to Alaska that never happened. It sat in his gun cabinet sighted in but unused for 24 years until he passed in '91. My older brother got the Weatherby and hunted hard with it, with great success, from Ky to Colorado for the next 33 years. There are scuffs and dings on the stock, bluing rubbed thin on the barrel and bolt, that tell stories of many great hunts and downed game. I always thought he gave justice to a rifle that was built to hunt ... no matter how pretty it was.
  19. Bump for another look.
