  1. 686 2" because my Browning 9mm failed me when I needed it most years ago. Wheel guns don't jam . . . if you can't get the job done in 6, you will be dead anyway
  2. No, there is no legal requirement to have the form, BUT if I sell a gun and someone does something STUPID with it, I want to show GOOD FAITH that I have documented the sale as much as possible and did not sell to someone WITHOUT being able to show my ATTEMPT to record information.
  3. used to have one . . . nice shootin' lil gun
  4. Hee hee . . .
  5. Glad you and everyone else is OK . . . it happens to all of us at one time or another.
  6. Guess we need to call it WEIRD Mart
  7. Wal-Mart ammo has never been any more problematic for me than buying it from other suppliers.
  8. I have been called for jury duty since getting my permit, but was not used because they had enough jurors.
  9. A good friend of mine experienced the loss of his Colt Python by an airline a few years ago. I woiuld think twice before putting it in checked luggage.
  10. test . . . my replies are NOT showing
  11. The Prez goes to Saudi Arabia and asks for a SECOND time for more oil to be pumped. Despite the BILLIONS we spend for our "ally" to help us, they turn us down . . . twice. How much power do WE have?
  12. We are spending billions to prop up Saudi Arabia. The Prez has asked twice and has been turned down twice when he has asked the Saudis to increase oil production. Who has no power?
  13. Fun Gun! Henry Repeating Firearms
  14. Fun gun!
  15. I have an OLD JC Higgins (Sears) 12 ga. pump; made by Mossberg. Not a great old gun. I am thinking about having the 28" barrel cut down to legal length for use as a home defense shotgun. I would like the opinions of TGO members about this idea as well as suggestions of good gunsmiths in the Nashville area. Thank you in advance for your feedback!
  16. Once a man walked up to his pastor and asked, "Do you believe in the doctrine of election?" The pastor replied, "Of course I do! God cast a vote for me and Satan cast a vote against me. Whichever way I vote, that's the way the election goes!" Think about it . . .
  17. Gee . . . I need to get my 12 ga., 9mm, 44 mag., .357 mag., and come to see you!
  18. Ruger SP 101 . . . revolvers never fail. Not being critical of automatics, but my Browning Hi-Power jammed at a critical time during the early '80's. Luckily I was able to clear the jam . . . in time for me. Have carried a revolver ever since.
  19. SP 101 or SW 686. WHY? Because revolvers NEVER jam. Was in a difficult position about 20 years ago when my auto jammed. Luckily, I cleared it and lived to talk about it. Since then NOTHING BUT A REVOLVER!
  20. Which is the better Ruger - 345 or the 90? Thanks for your feedback; I am a Ruger freak and will buy one or the other, so please do not respond with Ruger criticism. For those who like Rugers, I really want your feedback about which from above is the better firearm. Thanks
  21. THIS IS JR'S WEEKEND!!!
  22. As a father of two daughters, my joy joins yours!
  23. Mike: My mother smoked for 50 years; cancer found in her right lung in 2004. Brought her to Nashville from Chattanooga for surgery; they took the lower lobe of the lung. Then she had three months of chemotherapy; Mom was sick as a dog and lost all her hair. It is a humbling thing for a son to shave the last of his mother's hair off her head . . . Mom has done well, but the cancer reoccurred in November of last year. A lymph node was taken out in January of this year and then 25 days of radiation treatments in February. She was sick and weak from all of that, but is now doing better. The point of my story is for you to remember her experience. If you stop smoking, may it NEVER be your experience. I honestly and hopefully wish you the very, very best. God bless
