Most classes I see advertised state they require factory loaded ammo. Are they usually ok with branded reloads (Georgia Arms, Alabama Ammo, etc)?

Can anyone point to an actual example of an attempted use of this (or equivalent) form in court or during some criminal investigation?

Since kids aren't a concern at my house, I have started putting guns and other valuable odds and ends in false books on my bookshelf. I have a couple I've gotten from craft stores. You can get a big fake Moby Dick (Thats what she said. Ha.) for about $15 bucks at the Hobby Lobby near me. It looks like a real book from more than an inch away, and the bookshelf is probably the last place a thug would look if my house is broken into. My main concern with some of the more portable safes is that they are just that: Portable.

Is buffing the finish off something folks actually do when modifying their guns? It seems many guns with holster wear on matte black would look a lot better with just the stainless steel, but this isn't a practice I've heard much about.

I can't express how much I appreciate our service men and women and their role in protecting the rights guaranteed to us by our forefathers. So, it seems absolutely bizarre to me that anyone who has contributed so much through military service would support a cop s***ing all over the Bill of Rights.

I usually just keep my cellphone in my pocket. Concealed means concealed. Sometimes, I wear it on a lanyard around my neck next to my "Cell Phone Permit" badge. On the other hand, if I feel that the "No Cell Phone" signs aren't properly posted, I usually call the manager to have some legitimate signs put up. If I can't talk on my cell phone, I don't want anyone else talking on theirs.

I realize several folks on this board have P229s. What are some preferences for IWB? I hear good things about Blade-Tech, but is their $80 rig really worth it compared to a $25 Don Hume?

They would definitely be a dream (nightmare) team. They're still discussing that option, but I think ego may interfere. The Republicans have run a pretty clean campaign up until now. Let the mudslinging begin!

Bar-Sto makes a conversion barrel for P229s in 357/40. Apparently, it is a drop in, and 9mm magazines are all that is necessary. Does anyone have any experience with these?

A lot of the touristy places here suck. Get a local to make some itinerary suggestions next time, and you'll have a better meal experience. BTW, I live in the Donelson/Airport area. I've come to think of the "questionable characters" here as charming.
