I sent an email to members of the State House about this... if I were you I'd do the same. Nothing like being on the offensive. -

they cant even be in possession of them either. So if Bubba or Leroy, the 300lb country boys from Georgia or Mississippi wanna hunt they will go elsewhere. You would be suprised how many football players hunt, especially Titans. -

Pulled my weapon for the first time.Opinions?
GLOCKMEISTER replied to Jack's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
Jack you know this is blowing my mind that some people think you were wrong for simply pulling your weapon, I mean after reading what you wrote and seeing the grafics... If as a police officer or investigator responding to the scene I'd be wondering why you didnt go ahead and take the shot. If she was in fear of her life and you felt that her life was in danger then it would have been the right call. Find me a member of a jury that wouldnt be in fear of there life with 6000lb truck coming into their yard at high speed and trying to hit them? Honestly I think you made an amazingly good call considering the situation. Myself, who knows I would have probably resorted back to my LE training and taken the shot out of pure reaction and instinct... so in short right now your probably in a much better place then I'd be in if I had been in your shoes. Again great decision on your part. -

Ok, Legal question about vicous dogs
GLOCKMEISTER replied to Wyldk2's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
Theres no such law in Tennessee that im aware of about pits, all dogs are supposed to be under contolled restraint... Meaning leash, fence or electronic device... except while hunting. -

GLOCKMEISTER replied to Wyldk2's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
This one is easy.. the State law is on your side... 1st and foremost if your in fear of your life, or in fear of serious bodily injury and have to shoot then shoot! However there is a leash law in the state of Tennessee. It would be wise to call the sheriff's Dept. and have them come out and make a report before you do anything. Therefor you have documentation there was a problem if anything unfortunate happens. -

Drawing as simply preparing... Theres nothing wrong with it as long as your not doing it in a threatening manner. -
has anyone seen this? This pisses me off!
GLOCKMEISTER replied to E4 No More's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
But there has been laws passed to make sure things like that dont happen again, and I agree with you that they might, however if LEO's that want to trample on the constitution are met with a citizenry that are well educated and supply documented proof they are in violation of not only constitutional law but state law then the outcome might be different. I know its hard to argue with an AR stuck in your face but if you provide proof, and explain you will sue there collective azzes off when its all said or done.. well that might change their minds, or get you shot who knows. -

This is old but good... We have passed laws in this state since then thats supposed to prevent that sort of thing from happening. -
old law that means nothing... now ya'll make sure someone goes in there and tells them so.. ok???

Pulled my weapon for the first time.Opinions?
GLOCKMEISTER replied to Jack's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
good call imho... a truck is a weapon, and clearly you were in fear of your girlfriends life... you never pointed it at them nor fired a shot... at the end of the day all is good, so was your call. Run a vehicle at a police officer and see if he pulls his weapon or not. -
we went thru about 100 boxes last week rather quickly too... its still really hard to get.

all I know is we have sent several M&P's back to Smith, even had 2 go back this year already... Never sent a Glock back... so IMHO that should tell you something. I brought this up to our Smith Rep that just happened to stop by this week while I was dealing with a customer on a warranty issue with a M&P... he admitted they had slacked off in quality to produce quantity. Sad aint it?

hurts my ears just thinking about it... ouch

i still think the Ruger 10/22, thats half the price and will shoot anything is a far better option.
