Has anyone ordered from Dillon lately?
Luke E. replied to Randall53's topic in Ammunition and Reloading
timthetoolman ordered some stuff from the i believe 3-4 weeks ago now and hasn't received anything yet and i think i remember him saying that he couldn't get them on the phone either. -
I think the "homegrown" directory is a fantastic idea.

I don't have a contact but Mohawk Armory makes their lowers in house. I do have a complete rifle from them and everything fits perfectly, the finish was perfect and i have found no imperfections whatsoever on the lower (or anything else for that matter). I'm sure there will be others added to the mix to choose from but i wouldn't be the least bit worried about purchasing another Mohawk lower.

My thanks to David and whoever else is involved in trying to orchestraight this group buy. I always heard no good deed goes unpunished and after reading some of the post from the last couple days I see that it's true. Anyways I'll take at least one no matter who manufactures it and when they do it. Thanks again.

How ya gonna build your TGO billet lower?
Luke E. replied to Caster's topic in Gunsmithing & Troubleshooting
I don't think i would ever go any longer than a 20" barrel just because of the weight. A 20" barrel would likely out shoot any optic i could afford to stick on top of it. Any experience with the Blk out? If so what would be it's effective range with an 18-20" barrel? -

I'm really interested in the 6.5 Grendel with an 18" barrel (possibly 20" if research shows theres still burning powder past the 18"'s). I'm fairly intrigued by the 300 BLK so maybe 2 lowers are in order. I've not had the opportunity to shoot either of them but i'm liking what i've read on them. -

I found it as soon as i asked this question.. I bet this forum would be a lot easier to find what you were looking for if folks like me would just go look before clogging threads up with dumb questions lol. Thanks for the link though. -
You can count me 100% for 1 !! Most likely would take 2 whenever the time comes to pay up. I hope this works out.

TGO billet lower? Is there a group buy going on? Or am i just misunderstanding the title? -
Sure wish you were looking for .223 instead of 7.62x39.. I'd be willing to dive into a FAIR trade for some of that .22lr.
-
I think ^ goes for everyone! But i'd settle for a trade offer that wasn't lop sided..
-
They have gotten so excited that something they have has sky rocketed in value and have already dreamed up how much they will get or trade for. The problem is what they are trying to trade for has also inflated... so if they make a apples to apples trade deal then they didn't get anything more than they would have 4 months ago. Those kind of people need to stick to trading for un-inflated items so they can feel like they got the upper hand..

Once you venture off TGO you can almost hang it up trying to get anyone to trade apples to apples with you. Especially if your on the more valuable/lower round count side of the trade. I tried like the dickens to trade brass cased .223 for .22lr and was more than willing to come out a little on the short side due to the fact i have plenty of one and not much of the other. However I wasn't willing to let them value their $20-$24 Federal or Remington brick at $40-$50 and value my .223 at 0.25-.30 per round and act like they were doing me a favor. Had someone tell me they'd be willing to trade me their 3 used GI mags for 500 rounds of .223. I was at a loss for words. Good luck with your search.

I don't like paying higher prices anymore than the next person but most of us are only seeing one side of this. I was in a friends shop Friday and he was a little upset at the way people were acting. I knew his prices were higher now and assumed he was having to make more per sale since they couldn't get enough quantity through the shop. I was wrong! I sat down with him and went through an order he just received and was looking at what he paid to get stuff to him. Example .22lr federal 500 round bulk pack he gave $42 for it there was also an ar there that he used to pay around $800 for and he just payed $1300 to get it plus had to get 4 pistols he didn't want before they would sell it to him. Bottom line is I'm sure there are a lot of shops that have jacked prices up because they are greedy but that's not always the case.

Where to Buy Reload suppys? ( if they have some)
Luke E. replied to a topic in Ammunition and Reloading
Took me 2 trips again this weekend with back pack loaded and something hooked on every finger :usa: -
I thought the same thing... But I had to make myself remember that this law has to pass. While a perfectly suitable punishment to you and I, some that this has to pass by may think it to be " to harsh" and fail the bill because of it. Personally I wish we had a special prison for such traitors. Hey a guy can dream huh.

Sorry man i missed this one. I just answered this on the 1st line of the 2nd page. Idk why but it is the one given to me by Joe. Take a look at the post i made on the next page but i don't know why he wanted it sent there rather than the .gov address. Not to mention i dont think anyone will look stupid for expressing their desire for a bill such as this.. We all should be doing it regardless.
-
Cz9mm, I just thought of something. Joe pushes some pretty important bills through each year and seems to work diligently on each of them. As of the last couple of days they passed a new limit of 15 bills per year that any one representative can bring forward. Which is why he wants to measure support before he burns one of them. If he pushes forward with it I would think that it means he believes there is a good chance of getting it through. My .02

Pay for what Hozzie? I'm not sure of the bill number. Rep Carr lives down the road from me and from what I gathered the bill he spoke of had not been put out there yet but I am assuming and we all know what that does. I did read part of the bill a Wyoming politician put forth and liked it a lot. It actually stated that there would be laws against anyone state or federal trying to enforce those laws within her state lines.
