  1. When this crap is over, I will be buying some 9mm every week that I get paid.
  2. Negative on Academy and Gander.  Walmart Turkey Creek did have some PPU, but I read some negative reviews on them so I passed.  I like to shoot 124 gr, and these were 115 anyway.
  3. Might need to take a trip to Gander this evening  :yum: .  Not happy about paying $5 extra a box, but at this stage it seems inevitable.
  4. I always look for 9mm when I am out and about, and so far no luck.     Good on you guys for stocking up the way you did.  It's only crazy until it works.
  5. Regardless... If the establishment makes its preference known, even with an unlawful sign, why would anyone make "a donkey" of themselves by carrying inside, just to make a point?
  6. I had my class at Coal Creek - Richard Newstrom was the instructor.     Just throwing out what was thrown at me.  I make no claim to know either way.
  7. I have 2 1/2 boxes of my 9mm Remington range rounds.  I don't want to go shoot them right now because I can't find any replacement boxes anywhere.  It's a catch 22.  Have my cake, or eat it.   Are any of you still shooting these days?  Once you run out of ammo, I guess there is no option.
  8. In my carry class, we were told the sign could be crayon on cardboard simply stating "No Guns", and it was legal.   It's the intent of the sign, not the exact wording.  That's what we were told, anyway.
  9. I see both sides.   On the one hand, if you want the item and don't want to pay the inflated price, it is a bummer.   On the other hand, let the dealer charge whatever he wants.  We as consumers really control prices by what we are willing to spend.  If someone buys the item, then it was worth that to the purchaser.   People are buying at these inflated prices, so why shouldn't the dealer make his profit?  Once people stop paying the prices, they will come down again.
  10. Maybe this will take off and I will finally be able to find / buy a Shield.
  11.   Thanks!  I didn't see that.
  12. http://www.nydailynews.com/news/national/pennsylvania-5-year-old-suspended-bubble-gun-terrorist-threat-article-1.1243635     5 year old girl suspended for terrorist threat because she wanted a friend and her to shoot each other with a Hello Kitty bubble gun.   They want the girl to undergo a psych evaluation.  What the crap is happening to this country?!
  13. I have never tasted beer.  I smelled it in Jr. High and thought "How do people drink this crap?".   Never really enjoyed any alcohol, and have only consumed about 12 oz. when you tally all the sips I tried over my 44 years of being alive.     Not a coffee drinker, either.  Same reasons.   When someone would tell me "it's an acquired taste", my reply would be "why would I take another sip of something I didn't enjoy during the first sip?"
  14.   I agree completely.  But what if there is nothing to buy?  That's the general concern, I am starting to see.  And it is frustrating having money to spend but can't find the thing you are looking for.   Wishing the best for those small business owners, and hoping the storm is over soon.  Once again, our inept president causing more trouble for the common man.
  15. So...   Once we hit a state of equilibrium - that is, all In Stock guns and ammo have been sold, and stock is either not available or slow at best.  What then?  How long can a Local Gun Shop operate without sales?   Or minimal sales?  3 guns in, 3 sold.  Then what for the rest of the day?  Can Holster sales keep them afloat?   I am starting to see this whole thing in a new light from the perspective of places like Personal Defense Options and Bill's Outpost.
  16.   I was more thinking out loud than anything, which is why I ended the statement with "Obviously, not much CAN be done".   But I admit, I deserved the "C'mon man".  One of my favorite ESPN segments.  Well done.
  17. Well done!  Thieves should be dealt with much harsher than they are in our country where criminals' rights supersede victims'.
  18. The only thing about the Constitution that Barrack wants to deal with is destroying it.  Along with Free Market Economy and the freedoms that this country were founded on in the first place.   And for some insane reason, this is what the majority of America voted for as well.
  19. And, I didn't think about paying employees to stand around and say they can't take money.   That doesn't bode well.  I wonder what they can do about calling their local Smith or Glock representative and get some guns coming in?  Obviously, not much CAN be done.
  20.   There may be some wisdom in this post and other replies.   Why aren't we seeing more guns and ammo hit the shelves?  That is a good question.  Ammo, though, I don't understand.  It should be available in spades, because the magazine scare doesn't affect the rounds being offered for sale.   Catch 22 for sure on the firearms.  Build a lot to sell now, but perhaps have a surplus that won't sell if they become illegal.  However, you would think you could still find Glocks and Shields and Walthers.     Why isn't Smith and Wesson working round the clock putting out Shields that sell once they hit the shelves?
  21. This has been more successful than Barrack's "stimulus package", that's for sure.
  22. If you were a gun manufacturer - or retailer for that matter, would you not love the panic right now?   You can't make ARs quickly enough.  Or Magazines for Glocks.  Or ammunition.     As much as we hate gun legislation, do you not think that those in the business of selling are happy about it right now?     As someone in sales, I wonder how far ahead of those pesky "sales goals" these people are right now.  I don't know if there are territory or regional sales managers in firearms and ammunition, but you have to believe that if there are, they will have the biggest bonus / increase in sales EVER!     Next year will certainly be a drop, but I would love to have that bonus check this quarter  :stunned:
  23. While the number of crooked and criminal cops who think they are above the law is increasing (too many Youtube videos and other online evidences to cite), I do like the presence of uniformed officers when I am in a shady place.    I don't trust them anymore, but they do offer an extra barrier to scum criminals who might think twice because of their presence.
  24. Understand.  I don't follow his principles 100%, and having a credit card is where I disagree as well.
