nothing was said when I walked in with my M&P9 either ,,,,,,,,, because my wife was already asleep and I had it tucked into my back pack well hidden

I did that just messing around with my camera several years ago with my Cougar in .45ACP propped up near him. It turned out that the picture of Burley was one of his best . He looked like he was posing for it. I love that little guy. He's been with me for the last 11.5 years . One day when my son was 5 years old , my wife says to him that he could either goto the carnival in town or get a puppy. Well my son got both ! My son is now about to be 18 years old and he and Burley still get along like "peas and carrots" .

Those Boxer's are just neat ! I never met a mean one at all. They look so ferocious but always so nice. I hear they protect kids very well too.

Here's my Burley , he's a Jack Russell / Black Lab mix . He's 11 years old now . The picture of him recently is the one of him next to my BBQ pit . The other is one of him a few years ago. He has gotten really gray around the eyes and muzzle. When I tell people about him being a Black Lab and Jack Russell Mix they get to laughing . Imagine a a Large Black Lab and a small Jack Russell doing the "bumpty bumpty" ha ha !!!! I normally don't post things like this but this is really good. Especially listen to the part from 1:20 to 1:37 . There is no other statement that is more true than that part about background checks and bans. Again listen to part 1:20 to 1:37 . https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EHAnTa_cxEg

Will I be able to turn a deer tail inside out ? Maybe reach down in there with a pair or needlenose pliers ?
-
A friend of mine once preserved a deer tail for me so I could give it to my son. I am hunting this year and got one but going out again today. I want to try and get a tail preserved for my 8 yr old daughter. She loves stuff like that . From what I remember , my friend got the tail and pulled out some tendons and shoved some salt into the area I think and it seemed to preserve it really well. I just cant rememer exactly what he did . Do you guys know ? All I want to do it get my daughter a deer tail with the hair still attached and preserved . Thanks for any information . Oh and wish me good luck ! I am a meat hunter and not a trophy hunter so it may be a doe or a buck .

To give you some background I am 42 yrs old and my wife is 39 . We like rock , pop and the older country . She is a die hard Pink Floyd fan . As far as Alice In Chains , listen to " Your Decision" and " taker her out again" . Jerry Cantrell is singing lead on those songs. You can listen to these two songs and then realize that Jerry was the "main" voice all along . It's kinda hard to explain but Jerry was always backing up Layne and when you hear these songs it sounds like Alice In Chains but without a lot of raspyness. I like it .
-
I was thinking the same thing . Layne died very similiar and both were awesome . I wasnt a "grunge" guy I was a metal head from the ealry 80's but STP and Alice In Chains still rocked

He was good in Velvet Revolver and STP . Here is one of my favorites https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M9jNBuEqD4E

I just watched this . WOW , if this doesn't get your heart pumping then you are dead. What a piece of history and awesomeness. Just thought I'd share it here. I believe he is a member here . https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iriG4rZifbI

I have been in Tennessee my whole life. I have seen Lynx and Bob cats but never a Cougar but I am sure they are here and doing well. But it's funny how the news get all exciteed about this but not about how the Armodillo population is exploding here in Tn . Big cats have always been here but Armodillos have never been here until around 8 to 10 yrs ago. Just thought about that and thought I'd share . I guess the news just likes to latch onto anything they can and blow it out of proportion.

Apache and both people on board died according to newschannel5 . That hasn't happened here in quite a while. I think the last was when two Blackhawks ate each others rotors in 1996 . I am half a mile from the Sabre Heliport and there's quite a lot of helicopters that go in and out of here all the time. I am surprised it doesn't happen more often. Every so often you can catch a few showing off. Back around 2008 an OH-6 did a dive straight down and almost didn't pull up in time. He came about 100 feet from hitting a neighbors house. My wife saw it too and scared the crap out of her.

Anyone else worried about attacks during Star Wars premier?
tercel89 replied to glowdotGlock's topic in General Chat
When it was first announced I told my 17 yr old son that he was not going until maybe a few weeks into it. He was PISSED . I told him that if I was going to kill as many people as I could I would pick this movie and would do it the first week . I still don't feel good about him going a few weeks later . I say this even though I am a HUGE Star Wars geek ! -
I got to looking and noticed that the "key lock" safety option thingy is not present on these newer frames. When I had my older M&P it had the little round plug in the frame where the key lock safety would go if it had the option. That's cool with me. Less crap in it.

Here's my new M&P with my G17 for comparison. I'm gonna run some of my own loads through it tommarrow. The "small" grip insert on these feels great. Even though I like the Glock 21 with that large 2X4 grip , the small grip on the M&P feels sweet .

M&P guys I have a question with a picture
tercel89 replied to tercel89's topic in Gunsmithing & Troubleshooting
I got to looking at it harder after I pushed it upwards and made it flush . Even if I hadn't pushed it upwards it would not have snagged or hit anything on the frame as the slide cycled. So anyways , I was worried over nothing. Thanks for offering to look though  My little girl is sick and styaing home from school but when she goes back I'll head to the indoor range with this M&P -
M&P guys I have a question with a picture
tercel89 replied to tercel89's topic in Gunsmithing & Troubleshooting
Dont worry , I took my punch and rubber hammer and popped it back upwards and flush. I guess the factory had just pushed it in too deep. I always worry over stupid stuff LOL . -

Awesome and thanks buddy ! -
Thanks and I'm sticking with this one this time. Hey , since you are an M&P man , goto my other thread I posted tonight about the extractor pin slightly sticking out on the underside of my slide. I put a picture of it in the post. Do you think I should get a hammer and punch and pop it back upwards a little so it will be flush with the underside of the slide ?

Looking down on top of the slide , it looks like the rollpin was just pushed in a little too deep. I may try and pop it upwards a little tomarrow. -

tercel89 replied to tercel89's topic in Gunsmithing & Troubleshooting
No I think you are talking about the firing pin safety . It is spring-loaded. I am talking about the little hollow pin towards the bottom of the picture near the Extractor. I have the slide next to my computer. Look at the little square shape with "SD" inside the square , it's on my computer . The roll pin is to the left of that shape.
