just saw it too, decided to read the book after the movie... 5 star for sure. hated the fact i knew about the helo getting taken out and how it would end...i want to believe that the comm issue has gotten better, and more common sense is given to roe thoughts. i would have left the herders nytied to the trees and popped smoke based on the 3 options. that flick didnt make me happy. it pissed me off but at least it made more common folk aware of the rigors of the terrain and other crap the troops deal with downrange. thought it was cool they explained pashtu tradition at the end and memorialized some of the guys at the end. def a must see. the weapons were kind of off but worked. the tech advisors prob flinched at wahlbergs ar.... The whole thing is stupid. Like its makes a difference if someone has to walk an extra 30 feet to get a gun out of their car parked in a public lot vs fed facility. Being charged with disturbing the peace was almost in line with what actually happened. The guy caused a disturbance to effect more than one person in a public place. Not to mention after that first call came in how many pieces of equipment with first responders and aircraft were dispatched.....that's the quiet part. Beaumont is not a peaceful city and has had more go on than I care to share. Guy could have walked in through a service door or as mentioned used a case or carton or even broken it down for transport. The fact that he went Into a game stop on his way in wasn't too smart. I hate to admit it but folks today need to be aware of individuals bringing big guns into a mall or shopping area. If this guy was in Israel or some other area he would have had his butt kicked for being the trigger of a false alarm....none of us have seen the official report on this, just the news pop...my vote goes for stupid versus rights issue. They're light cheap and they work. For 49.00 that's less than a carton of smokes.!! I used that omni w a rr trigger kit on a 300 bo pistol. Worked fine. I recently rat blanked it for the lpk and stuck it in another Lower. It's sitting on my bench waiting for me to have another attack. Some of the " training " on here has gone viral amongst the knife guys and martial arts hangouts. Most guys I know that are or have been hard ass door kickers laugh at this crap as well. There's things like sere and other programs that focus on hostile environment survival that doesn't involve swords and pistol whippings.most of the real shooters n looters don't pay attention to online training bullshit and focus on better stuff like Skype ing family and friends... Some of its interesting though. I'm not a realty show fan but why do the towing shows depict stupidity at its best. These companies have money tied up in storage and trucks but the biggest idiots are glamorized like stupid and ignorant is cool.
