  1. Possible closing line: Trayvon Martin might not have been shot If he had just gone home to smoke some more pot
  2. True conservatives? No, but I'm sure the John McCain and RINO types sure will.
  3. They already do something like this in Chicago. Violent flash mobs in all areas of town ( rich, poor, black, white, tourist, etc.). Location gets tweeted, hundreds show up and beat the snot out of all involved, disappear before anyone of authority can arrest too many of them. Little report in the media, little done to qualm this from police.
  4. I saw some at Shooter's on Murfreesboro Road next to Gun City (didn't go in there though). CCI, standard stuff. Didn't find out the price because the guy that walked in before me was buying it all (2x 100 rounds). This was a few days ago. I did ask, and the guy said the .22 was left over from the gun show he had been to the precious weekend, so it took him at least a week and 1 gun show to sale out. At least it's sitting around for a little longer.
  5. Prosecution finished up today.  Defense starts tomorrow at 0830 EST.
  6.   Also ... I assume from your statement that YOU would choose to let the guy continue to bash your head into the ground ...
  7. what's goin to be the "clincher" closing argument? (ala: "if the glove doesn't fit, you must acquit")   George had no choice but to shoot him dead Because Trayvon Martin was bashing his head
  8. i wasn't really old enough to pay attention to the OJ case, and i've purposefully not watched any of the more recent ones ... so my question: is it typical for the prosecution to end the closing arguments by just showing a deck of power point slides?!? doesn't seem to really push the point home to me.  i'd be really annoyed if i were the jury, what a waste of time.
  9. agree ... i walked away from the screen for about 45 mins and had hoped to come back to someone else ... sadly it's BDLR straddling the manican ... right now i'm not sure which is the bigger dummie, the manican, or BDLR
  10. i would add not just sick of the "political class" but also sick of those who skirt personal responsibility and aren't productive in the society; aka, those the "political class" uses to support and maintain itself in office
  11. for real ... she seems a little testy this morning ... this tweet came across from Andrew Branca from the Legal Insurrection page.  Made me laugh, but sadly seems like it could be true: "Rumored: Nelson to consolidate jury instructions to read simply: "You must find the defendant, George Zimmerman, guilty."
  12. yea, child abuse seems like a stretch; TM may have been 17, but he acted as no child and does not deserve to be treated as such
  13. I will celebrate every one of them too! My guess is if this happens will have another Trayvon/Zimmerman type case every week or so. Also, I bet the Rham-E types will land on the side of the thugs for this type of thing and prosecute CC people as aggressively as possible.
  14. I watched a documentary on Netflix not long ago about gang violence in Chicago. The gang members affectionately termed the city, "Chiraq" for this reason ... the same (if not frequently more) people die there on average than our soldiers in the Middle East. They ask consider an active gang war zone.
  15. Clearly all cops are good and should always be trusted to have the citizens best interest at heart ... at least that's what some here would have you believe.
  16. Threads like this oft remind me that this is a gun forum and NOT a pro-small government forum of Constitution loving people. Some of you steadfastly desire to protect your 2nd amendment rights, yet are willing to turn a blind eye to offenses to other parts of the Constitution such as this. We can debate whether DUI checkpoints and listening to my cell phone conversations are legal under today's skewed interpretation of the Constitution where freedom and liberty take a back seat to "safety," but there is no question in my mind that this type of search (mind you, where the officers ADMIT he is innocent and they fabricated their 'weak alert') is why the founding fathers wrote the 4th amendment. Worse, some of you even offer support to criminal LEOs such as this. Shame on you! This officer deserves a flogging in the public square and to be thrown in jail for as long as can be. How many of you would prefer this young man be out vandalizing property, doing drugs, or driving intoxicated? You would certainly be quick to write that off as another "failure of today's youth." But when he dare question the government many of you helped vote into being (and now complain about), he's "out looking for trouble." Non-violent civil disobedience against an intrusive and tyrannical government should never be washed away as "some kid out looking for trouble." Rather supported for doing its part in maintaining the true meaning of the Constitution. Anyway ... rant off. In summary; threads like these only prove to me that if given the chance, many of you would continue to vote the John McCain's and Lindsey Graham's of the world into office.
  17. Glock 21 is a nice gun. I have the SF version. Did you go with the standard or the SF?
  18. Looks to be a lot more effective than the TSA's nut fondling program. I'd rather someone fondle my nuts than shove something in my mouth (breathalyzer).
  19. Cajun seasoned pan fried tilapia. Baked sweet potato. Ice water.
  20. You're so old fashioned. That went to the way side several months ago ... agents/officers can do as they please now a days. Welcome to the new America ... where the Constitution is just an artifact in the museum in DC.
  21. That's a really beautiful building ... but perhaps one that shouldn't have been built if it was going to go under this quickly (not even 10 years).  Just another thing Nashville has built it didn't really need, nor have the ability to support (new convention center anyone?).
  22. I wonder if she realizes how uneducated she sounds #publiceducationfail
  23. ugh, it may be the rest of the week with just this witness as quick as this is going
