  1. I bought my son(6yrs) at the time, now (9yrs) a Walther P22 and a Ruger 22/45. He also has a 10-22 rifle, he's doing well with all 3. As a matter of fact he's shooting the Browning HI Power 9mm and doing a good job now. Of course he does not have access to them, they stay in the safe. As of late the wife has jumped on our bandwagon. And she's enjoying the P22. She carrys a SW Air-lite .38....Good luck with your purchase.
  2. I agree I would have made that purchase myself and I'm not a big wheel gun guy. I think you did good. I may have to start riding down to Athens and visit your pawn shops. Around here they are close to, and at times more than retail on gun prices.
  3. They are somewhat pricey but worth every penny. The Springfield EMP it's the smallest 1911 on the market right now. Or at least that's what I'm reading. It's my new carry weapon.
  4. I know the Para P-10, or Warthog is not D/A, but would fit the bill with everything else you're looking for. And I would argee the Taurus PT145 would work great for you.........Good Luck

    New Glock 26

The G26 is a great little gun. I really like my 26. I you will enjoy it. I trade my Kahr K40 this pasted weekend for a Springfield 1911. A couple of things I did not like about the K40 was its double action and heavy trigger pull. Maybe those two reasons plus the fact of the price and Kahrs' lack of marketing is the reason they have not taken off. Although I think Kahr makes a fine weapon. I still own P40.
  6. My friend with the Dan Wesson has been sold. Less than a week ago.
  7. I've got a P229 Equinox, and if you want to the trick I've got it..... Find some Crimson Trace Grips and slap'em on.
  8. Sorry I did not finish the last post, did not mean to send it. By the way I was just kidding about knocking my socks off with the price. But if you have a price in mind pm me.
  9. If you have a price in mind that won't knock my socks off

    1st automatic

Welcome. I agree with most members find a well taken care of used gun. I would start with the Taurus line, or Kel-Tec. Good luck.
  11. A Para Warthog maybe something for you to look into. Although I don't think it's DA... Another to think about is a Kahr P45. I think it's DA.
  12. Hello and a big welcome from Knoxville. Enjoy!!!
  13. I know a guy that had a DW Bobtail in great cond. a couple weeks ago at a very fair price. I will check for you, if he still has it I will pm you his contacts.

    Sako .243

That helps me a great deal. I feel if I can hold my own with knowledge on hanndguns and evil rifles, but deer rifles are a new world for me. And I don't claim to know everything about handguns, but you know what I mean. I try to something new everyday. That helps a great deal. Thanks Big Mo:popcorn:

    Sako .243

Hello KahrMan, Hope all's well. We're enjoying the Ruger. Have not shoot it, and may not. I gave it to my uncle and the next day he gave it to my son (9yrs old), so it will be in the family for a long time to come. The Sako is a .243 Forester L579. It has the Sako markings and RA on the barrel. It does not say Garcia anywhere. Not sure if it's a Deluxe or Standard Sporter it does not say. I'm thinking the barrel is standard, for sure not a bull barrel. Any help would be great. Thanks

    Sako .243

Looking to build on my 1911 collection so thinking about selling my Sako .243. I've got another one that's a 30-06. The rifle's the pre-Garcia, made in 1970. It's in 98% cond. near mint. Also comes with a Redfield 3x-9x scope. Guys help me out on a fair market price. Thanks
  20. I have two SW 27s and I'm thinking about selling one of them. It's in 100% cond., fired less than 20 times. My uncle bought them new in 1977. I understand with it being a 3.5 inch barrel and made in 1977 which was the last year made, makes it even more valuable. Hoping you guys could help me price is jewel.
  21. Thanks for the warm welcome. God Bless, Big Mo
  22. Hello Everyone, My name's Maurice (Big Mo). I've been a member for about 3 weeks. I'm a business owner in Knoxville. I'm like most of us, I love collecting guns, and shooting with my son. I must admit, I had never heard of this site. I was late night surfing one evening, and stumbled across TGO. And that was my lucky night. What an awesome site, it covers all bases (safety, laws, and people that shares a commoned interest, etc). I hope to bring something to the table. Thanks Big Mo
