    I shoot lead, plated and jacketed thru my Glocks, no problem so far and I have shot thousands of rounds of reloaded ammo. I usually load to around 950-1000 FPS for plated, depends on brand. Lead I usually clean the bore after 50 rounds, seen no problems yet but I do use hard cast with good lube.

    In combat trigger pull, reset or creep really just goes out the window since you are so pumped so I would think the same in a SD situation.

    I, as a regular civillian, have never used a rail. Have in the military for rifles. If the price is good and it fits you and feels good in the hand then go for it. Don't handle a Sig!

    I always have one in the chamber. Never know when you will not have a couple of seconds to rack the slide. There are procedures where you can learn to rack a slide one handed.

    Aftermarket for lead and no your Glock is a fine handgun. I have reloaded many rounds from Glocks for Glocks with no problems what so ever. In fact shot some lead from my stock G23 the other day, just watch for build up in front of the chamber.
