    My new found love ;)

Nice choice bro. I'm glad you decided to go a little higher on something new and nicer. For what you told me you need it for, it should work quite well. Now save a bit, get a light to throw on the rail, and you're good with an all around home defense pistol, which is a helluva lot of fun at the range as well, and rather cheap to shoot. Now, on to the home defense shotties....
  2. It's so true. Even the generalized (read:mostly conservative, not exclusively) population here is blinded to this fact sometimes. I personally support the Libertarian party, but I also recognize they need success at local and state levels before having a shot at federal offices up to and including President. I just think we need to get back to our roots - live by the Constitution, the Bill of Rights and other amendments to the Constitution, and remember the Declaration of Independence. Only then can we be what I believe to be a true American society. And those who think the government should meddle in our affairs should go to the USSR. Or Europe.
  3. Well shouldn't we get the date set? the first option is today!!!
  4. http://www.amazon.com/Mosin-Nagant-pouch-Stripper-clip/dp/B000R845C4 There's the cheapest I've found for ordering stripper clips for the mosin nagant. And nice choice on the Sig, but what model? Sigs are fine guns, I've had my eye on them for a while, just trying to get the gun fund up another digit. Welcome to the site.
  5. That deal deserved pizza and beer. I wish I could find a deal like that for sure.
  6. Okay, mine definitely didn't have that. Thanks for the pics too, all I have found were pics of the internal nub on it, apparently to grind it off disables it. I dunno. But I will try and avoid these if I can.
  7. High yield CDs, bonds, maybe not stocks or mutual funds the way the economy is, but you get the idea. Other investments yield more, quicker. Foreign currency is good right now. I've got a nice size pile of Euros.
  8. ggaaahhhh, and i turned down tickets tonight to stay home.
  9. I've gotten curious and done a few nights looking on the net about these things. I had a 638 that, AFAIK, didn't have the lock. I keep seeing horror stories about these blowing up, and locking up the gun. I just can't figure out what exactly these are supposed to do, what they look like, or what they are at all. Are they like the locks on some autos that are on the frame, turned with a key to 'lock' or 'unlock' the gun?
  10. Ummm...what about the question on the fomr when buying a gun from an FFL that says, "Are you the actual purchaser of this firearm, and are not buying this firearm for someone else?" That seems worded not to exclude gifts... someone please tell me i'm wrong there. I don't wanna keep assuming I would have to take whoever I wanted to give the gun to with me to the shop, and have them do everything but me pay.
  11. AMEN, BROTHER MANNING! there's another one going to all my contacts. From the lips of a black MAN, unlike other black so-called men, I hope this has an impact. Not that it will, people hear only what they want to, but I can hope, right?
  12. So, they pick the most expensive, pay-per-minute phone company they can. TracFone. Instead of getting a million line plan with 60 minutes per phone each, pluss E911 service. I know T-Mobile and Sprint would jump to cut a sweet deal on that. And I'm sure the other big guys would too. From my time as a sellular sales rep, I would guess this runs 120million a month for airtime alone. maybe less if tracfone has come down any. And they say the handsets are 'donated'. I wonder how much that 'donation' cost US. Yet we the honest non-bumgs, thieves, and beggars are paying the outrageous bull****. Thank you so much, you government *******s. I'm soooo ****ing proud. Sorry for the expletive hant, but this one deserves it.
  13. LOL, nice. I always love a good fishin' joke, especially when it's gonna hurt the feelings of certain....people...I don't like so much.
  14. Wait, where would firearms be a tax write-off? I assume for security guards, cops, or people who could call it a business expense, but what about us civilians not in a field utilizing guns???
  15. Mags? I read that to mean it had 5-15 mags down the tube, and the two originals with it. If it comes with five mags as well, that sweetens it even more
  16. gaaahhhh, wow that one slipped right by me lol Thanks for pointing that out, i got a great laugh. and yeah, any one of my friends would have ridiculed me mercilessly, as I would do to them.
  17. With two extra barrels, absolutely. I would be all over that like an easy drunk chick. just the gun, I probably wouldn't go over $450, but that's me. They're right above 500 new.
  18. ***Wow, I hope she is charged with making a false 911 report (or whatever the official name for calling 911 unjustifiably is) and prosecuted by someone other than the cops that went along with her. That is unacceptable, absolutely and unequivocally.
  19. Oh my God, that's scary. I hope to hell I'm never caught up in a mess like that.
  20. lol, we recognize the right to bear arms buuuutttttt............ that woiuld be funny if it weren't so serious.
  21. I could probably make it any saturday, but has there been a decision yet? looking at the results there's not really a clear best day.
  22. nah, you forgot about lorcins:tough: dose gats gots da gold ta match ma teefs:cool:
  23. ^^^ROFLMAO! Anyway, I keep a Glock under the pillow next to me, the one my head isn't on. Usually I keep it with a full mag but without one in the hole. I figure it takes no time to reach my arms under the pillow and rack it, then draw or fire from the bed as I'm drawing. Lately, due to break-ins in the neighborhood, I have been keeping it locked and loaded. I have been known to move around a lot in bed, unless I'm with the girl, . However, this has pretty much stopped in the last couple years, so I don't really worry. What does worry me is when I have to take a sleeping pill for insomnia, where the side effects can include sleepwalking and amnesia. On those nights, I leave the mag out of the gun but next to it, and keep a collapsible baton under my head.
  24. I always have kept one close, but now I've been carrying around the house while waiting on my HCP. I figure it can't hurt to get used to the feeling of a gun on my hip, and keeping it concealed. Plus it's usually a Glock so I'm not keeping one in the tube and I haven't accidently hit the trigger yet, so I'm almost comfortable enough to carry it holstered with one in the tube. I don't know if I'll keep a gun on me like I do now after I really am used to it and can carry in public though.
  25. Mugster, how long did you leave the plastic mags loaded before the bodies cracked? I'm keeping Glock mags loaded, and since they're lined with metal i'm not too worried except about the bottom. it's just plastic and taking half or more of the pressure from the spring. I'm still leaving them loaded after hearing all this, and finding out the idea is just a myth. Thanks.
