  1. They can! But in this case, I was puttig together one for a buddy. It came with a complete upper, but the dust cover spring wasn't on right and the cover just flapped around. Got the clip off and pushed the rod back far enough to set the spring. Then had a heck of time putting the clip back on. Was almost to the point of takin the barrel off but finally after an hour of cussing got it back on!
  2. I tried to run from this, but have succumbed to pressure...#129 and will decide blade after pictures...

  7. Nobody will believe me, but I saw one at the alum cave trailhead on newfound gap. It was when they were building harrahs in cherokee. I would leave early to get there when the contractors came in. It was about 5:30 and completely dark. He was in the middle of the road headed from the parking lot full of cars with people I assume waiting to go hike. (Bet they would give up their hike if thy could see it) Anyway, I lit it up with the kc highlights on the jeep, so there is no doubt what it was. As I sat there getting my phone out to take a picture it wondered off on the opposite side before I could get the camera open...
  8. On a positive note...even with all the stress of being stranded and little rest because he had to study after we got all that mess straightened out. He passed his physical fitness assessment and will be getting his uniform for rotc! Proud papa had to brag!
  9. I'm confident I got the rim straight enough to hold air. It is the 5 star 16" rim for an 07 malibu. apparently these are fairly soft rims from what I have heard since this all happened. Which I could tell when I was able to straighten it with an adjustable wrench. All that to say that they are hard to find since they were only used 3 years and people buy them up because they bend so easily. May have to break down and spend the $150 on a new one...just have a hard time spending that on a steel rim. If anybody has one laying around that's be great! Sent from my SCH-I435 using Tapatalk
  10. I got the rim bent enough for the new tire to hold air...now to find a new wheel...tell them thanks for helpin me out while I was there! Sent from my SCH-I435 using Tapatalk

  16. 5. It is LenOIr City. Sorry it is a pet peeve of mine and has been bugging me every time I see this thread come to the top. Sent from my SCH-I435 using Tapatalk
  17. When the blue lights came on he was actually still in the weigels parking lot. It may look like a street, but it is more of a driveway that comes in from 2 different streets and is typically very busy. Good call not to stop there. But I don't think I would have turned into the reserve center across the street.
  18. Nobody else have the civil war reenactor neighbor with tons of black powder? We packed the powder in a pill bottle as tight as we could then wrapped tightly in wire put in a fuse and boom! How nobody got a piece of wire embedded in them is beyond me... Sent from my SCH-I435 using Tapatalk
  19. Yes, staying in state. No problem on the school property. I was mainly concerned with him driving around town off school property with the loaded handgun and any hassles he might face... Sent from my SCH-I435 using Tapatalk
  20. Ok, my wife and oldest son (18) are going on a trip next week. She is going for work and will be on a school property, so she will not be able to legally carry her firearm with her (hcp holder). My son will be searching for employment in the area in her car which will have her firearm in it. I am assuming he will be Ok if he gets pulled over with a loaded handgun in the car since he is 18. I just want verification, but I think this will be fine. I completely trust him with a firearm, and I do not want them a couple of hours from home with no protection. But there is no way logistically they can travel with the firearm if she can't carry on school property and he can't have a firearm in the car. Ease my mind please! 21. I traveled from lenoir city to Mckenzie yesterday.saw the first one in Carthage then the numbers grew from there. Time to start looking into pellets guns. They will be in my neighborhood soon I guess. Already have fire ants in my yard so the dillos won't be far behind.
  22. But then he wouldn't have to deal with the bullet trajectory fall... Sent from my SCH-I435 using Tapatalk
