    Bersa .380

This was my first Bersa range trip with fresh out of the box gun and target at 15 yards and 50 rounds. Can't find other target after adjusting sights but moved more center mass on second range outing. 2.   I had to laugh when I read this......In all honesty and not being married but a widower I would have had little fear if my wife were still alive selling my guns for what I paid for them. My wife was very smart when it came to money and you can bet she would have been on line looking up and researching the value of the guns before she put them up for sale along with the ammo. She would not have lost money on them. Now with that said, I would have to say that if I am dead in all honesty I would not really care I don't think if she gave them away................jmho
  3. I try and get some range time in every month if I can find ammo affordable to make that possible. So far I have been able to make it most months but don't get to fire as much as would like to. Sometimes on about 50 rounds and other times 100 rounds but some time at the range is better than no time at the range..............jmho
  4. Very true Randall53. It's not the weapon, it's the person and if they want to do harm to others they will find a way to do it. There have been many people killed in this country with weapons other than guns for many many years. There has also been many of these evil people stopped by a person with a gun but those good actions are seldom ever reported................jmho

Buds has the Black Matte finish in both the single and double stack in their Bersa section in stock right now. Just went and looked. I have two Black Matte 380 Bersa Thunder single stacks and love them. I also have several back up magazines that i carry when I go out. Hope this helps and you get your black gun your looking for......................
  6. We use to fish in Nam using grenades and were able to feed whole villages with only two throws and all the women would wade out with baskets to gather the floating fish. It works well if your not stupid like the boat guys and you actually thrown the darn things...............
  7. They might try a life size cardboard picture of POPEYE the sailor holding a can of Spinach that says I am this schools security..........JMHO
  8. I know exactly what your talking about. That is why when I went to take my course back years ago I ask my instructor Chad why he had a Kevlar on under his shirt outer shirt and he told me because he wants to go home after his classes. We had and elderly gentleman in our class that brought his gun with him instead of using one of the class weapons and just buying the ammo. He showed up with a 357 Snub Smith& Wesson brand new still in the box and the only time it had been fire was the 1 time at the factory and the empty casing still in the box. In the written test after the class room phase the older gentleman scored 100. Then we went to the range and my buddy that does the maintenance on the range was there to help Chad and BT was working with shooters to help out and it took the older gentleman about 5 minutes to learn how to load his new gun. The shooting class was at 4 different distances. 6 rounds @  4 yards, 6 rounds at 7 yards, 6 rounds at 10 yards and 6 rounds at 12 yards. After everyone else was done and up in the classroom Chad was still down in the range another 30 minutes with the older gentleman helping him learn and finally sent BT up to get one of the rental 38 caliber Smith revolvers with 5 inch barrel and the gentleman was able to qualify with it.  After all the class was over Chad took the gentleman up into the gun store up front and they spent about an hour finding a wheel gun the gentleman could shoot with relative accuracy and comfort and he traded the 357 mag and went home with a new 38 Caliber S&W 4 inch barrel that he could use to protect his home and carry if desired and would work best for him. It was situations like that why Chad wore Kevlar.......
  9. :panic:>>>>>>>> Gosh................. .    In all honesty I made that post to see how people might react and I got what I was expecting more or less. I figured it would ruffle a few feathers when I added Tombstone and Dodge city. I did put it in the post that Someone has finally realized what the 2nd Amendment represents but I guess yall missed that part. Just to get this said I do hope and pray that is does pass and that is what our fore fathers did have planned and our people in DC and many states have been trying to deny us so hey I one the same side on this as yall..........
  10. That means that if we carry concealed we have to pay for that privilege but a legal gun owner does not have to pay for the privilege to carry openly......... :stunned:  :stunned:  :stunned:  No classes required and no professional classes on proper gun handling and safety. Just strap it on and go for it if you can legally own it. Sounds like someone may have finally figure out just what the 2nd Amendment really means but it also might make us look like Dodge City Kansas or Tombstone Arizona back in the 1870's too................. :hiding: :hiding:
  11. I will not criticize anyone for their decision on their carry preference. It is none of my business. My preference is to CC. I got my HCP to be able to legally CC and not to let everyone know I have a gun. It is my business and no one else if I am armed. If I ever allow someone to know I am armed it will be because a situation has developed that requires me to have my gun in my hand in open sight...............jmho
  12. Prayers sent and hope they can begin to help her after the tests............
  13. Chalk one more up for the good guys............   jmho
  14. Prayers for all involved on both sides. Very sad situation and Randall is correct. An accidental discharge would not be near as newsworthy as the way it is worded.
  15. I hope you get it back and if it was hidden in truck my guess is someone that knew you or knows you........jmho.  My home was burglarized back in 1988 and 17 guns were taken. Mine and both of my two sons shotguns. It was reported and all serial numbers recorded with Sheriffs office in report. Home owners covered the loss but many of the guns had sentimental value insurance can never replace. It has been almost 26 years since the guns were taken and to this day not one of them has turned up anyplace. Not pawn shops, crimes scenes, traffic stops or anything else. There is little doubt it was not someone that knew my family and knew we we not at home but at the hospital because my oldest son was in a coma from an auto accident and we had not been home for over 2 weeks so it was someone that knew us and our situation. I do call the Sheriffs office about 1 time a month and ask but get the same answer every time. I do hope you recover your Beretta.
  16. He will surely be missed. Rest in peace Mr. Rooney and Heaven is a much better place now if that is possible.
  17. Prayers sent for a speedy recovery and it is nothing more than passing virus that can be treated and you back up and around quickly... :(
  18. I am not as nice as you are. They would have purchased the one they disassembled or left unhappy............jmho
  19. We can always pray they will learn soon..............
  20. She is a beautiful dog for sure and if I didn't have Kasey I would be driving to Knox County to bring her home. I can tell by her face she is a smart dog. How old is she and has she been spayed? I will ask around here to see if I can find a home for her.
  21. Needless to say his parents still have never been told because I figured if he felt they needed to be told it was his choice to tell them and not mine. He came for advice from me in confidence and I will never break that with anyone. And R_Bert her name is Diane and not Grace but I know what you meant...... :biglol:     He still reads the Bible and he and his girlfriend attend church often.  He did come to me one time and just walked up and put his arms around me and said thanks in my ear. I said your welcome and it was never mentioned again.
  22. I have purchased a lot of handguns in my life and cannot ever remembering wanting to lay one gun on top of another to compare them. I thought most folks could do that by picking them up one at a time or one in each hand and telling by the way they feel if it would be something they would want to purchase. Just today a buddy of mine and I were comparing the size of his 32 Kel-Tec to my Taurus 380 LCP but we could do that just by holding them side by side with one in each hand. The only difference really was weight and that was 32 rounds verses 380 rounds but guns were same size. As for the clerk, well , sounds like he was kind of a jerk by his actions but I would not be back in the store more from his actions than anything else but like several have said. They are not the only store around that would like to have your money.....................jmho
  23. I will have to admit this has been an enlightening discussion and a lot of peoples views have been expressed. Let me tell this to everyone because I realize that many have said many different things about homosexuals and or gays and I respect each ones feelings.       About 5 years ago I had a grandson come to me with a problem that he didn't feel he could talk to his mother and father about. He was having difficulty with his sexuality feelings. He had dated while in High School some but never quite felt comfortable around girls. So when old enough he secretly be began going to a gay bar and said he felt more comfortable there than in a regular bar. He ended up dating a few males and was even more confused because after that he was more uncomfortable. So he came to me for help. I was caught totally off guard. That is just not something you ever expect to be faced with discussing especially when he knew how strong willed I am about those type issues. He began to weep as he knew it was something he was not proud of yet so confused about. I finally asked him to stop weeping and handed him a box of tissues. I said son, your 22 years old and still have a long life ahead of you. Maybe your pushing yourself to hard in to many different directions all at once. If your not comfortable with either sex right now then put that on hold and begin to set other goals for yourself in life. I asked him if he liked his job and he said no. I asked him if there was a job he did like in his past and he said yes. I asked him what it was and he said busing tables and being a waiter. I told him to find a job doing one of those and put every bit of effort into that and see what happens. I also handed him his Grandmothers bible and I told him to read a little bit when he found time. He found a job as a waiter at an Ol'Charlie's about two weeks later. He also began reading his grandmothers bible when time permitted. Today he is a totally different young man today. Knows exactly where his life is going. He has been asst Manager of that Ol'Charlies now for almost a  year after his manager put him through their management program. He brought his Fiance' over to visit about two months ago and will marry her in June. He asked me to be best man at the wedding. Now with that said. Was I upset after he left? Yes and No. Did I still love him knowing what he had just told me? Yes because he is my grandson. Did I lay awake that night wondering if he would make it to where he wanted and needed to be? Of course I did but I knew I had done all I could do and I put it in GODS hands and said a special prayer before I went to sleep that night. Now did I ask myself could I still love him if he came to me and just told me that he was gay? In all honesty I gave that a lot of thought because in the back of my mind I knew that someday he may come and tell me he is because of how he felt about his life. I made up my mind after a lot of thought and Yes I would still love him and yes I would respect his decision. Would I have liked it. Probably not but he would have never known it. Now with that said. I don't know if anyone here has ever been faced with a similar situation and it is none of my business but I wanted to share my thoughts and feelings about the issue.    As far as Disney and what they choose to do. They are a business just like any other and if I don't agree with their views I don't have to spend my money purchasing anything they are selling or spending money at one of their parks. It is just like businesses post GUN FREE. I don't give them my money either...................jmho.
  24. Yes he did say he would not destroy the earth with water ever again. I believe he said next time it would be with fire but not sure.........
