  1. Rosie was not that fat when I got her and the breeder saw her one day when she came to visit my daughter and couldn't believe she was the same hound my daughter brought to me. If there is one thing Rosie is not short of here it's love!!!!
  2. So the Breeder had her fixed and my daughter brought her home to me. She was nice enough to do that because my daughter had bought 2 Basset Hound puppies from her.
  3. I have been looking for this thread and finally found it. I wanted to post a picture of my Rosie. She has been beside me for the last 9 years as I rescued her from the needle when she was scheduled to be put down by a breeder because she was to old to breed at age 6. My daughter told me about her and I told her to speak up and tell the breeder that her father wanted her and she brought her home with her for me.
  4. Believe me when I say I have a love affair with Bersa firearms period. A buddy that passed away sometime back hooked me on his Bersa Thunder 380 and now since I lost my range partner they spend their lives oiled and quiet unless I go some place I might need one. I did sell my Bersa 40 cal some years back but I could not get attached to it like the 380's and I had a close friend that wanted the 40 cal.
  5. Well back in the day I was a guy that saw a firearm and couldn't live without one. That was back in the day. Now that at age 77 I have finally mature and realized that my gun safe has to many safe queens. I will be putting some in the classified section soon.
  6. I had that issue a few years back and talked to a Game Warden buddy of mine and he said to just buy a Senior license for $10 so I did and it covers almost everything.
  7. Ok POP POP, The feeders I use will hold almost a quart each and depending on visitors in peak period of Summer I clean fill them about every 8-10 days. as the temps drop down in the season it depends on how fast the level lowers I know since I moved here I don't go through as much as I use to in Gallatin. When I lived in Gallatin I went through 10 lbs of sugar every 10 days. Bird traffic has a lot to do with how often most times.
  8. Oh did I mention that she is a Military Brat and has never known anything else. My buddy told me that she was shooting almost before she was walking and talking and once she was old enough to know what daddy was doing she was in her room getting ready to go to the range with Daddy and she met him at the back door to the pickup truck. His wife hollered for them to be careful and they were on their way. When they were up here to visit me I mentioned that I had the 40 Cal 80 model Bersa for sale ad he ask the price and I told him and he said he would take it. I was kind of caught a little surprised as I knew he was a die hard 1911 guy. He whispered to me that it was for Kimmie and I looked at her and back at him and he just smiled Kimmie would be turning 8 in 3 weeks. That's all I have to say on that!!!!! (it was the only gun I didn't have ammo for)
  9. Him and his daughter go to the range on the base almost every week and she scores higher about 90% of the time. She wants to get a 1911 soon as she graduates. She has asked him to shoot his but he won't let her. He tells her she will learn how to shoot a 1911 with her own in July. It It's already on layaway waiting for her to get her diploma.
  10. I have a buddy of mine that bought a Bersa 40 cal from me for his daughter to carry while going to college and we spoke last week and I ask him how his daughter was doing with the 40 cal and he said she is out shooting at the Base range he is stationed at. He said she is hinting about being like dad and moving up to a 1911 and he told her, after she graduated.

  14. If the Gov. is planning on buying votes for the Next election I don't think $20.00 bucks is going to get it done. Our troops are to smart for that. The Democrats made a mistake when the rigged to 2020 election to put Biden in the Oval Office at his age and now they have to try and get Harris in so I wonder if they are going to try and rig the 2024 election also????.....JMHO!
  15. Prayers have been on the way since I heard about it and I hope they catch the other bad guy soon!!
  16. I enjoyed him in many movies and yes he will be missed by many people. JMHO!!
  17. I hope John Force retires from behind the wheel and decides to run the Force Organization and lets the younger people do the driving. I never thought Funny Cars would ever break the 300 MPH but they said John was over 300 just before the crash!!! I remember when Don Gartlets cracked the 200 mile mark in a rail dragster.
  18. Thanks for the welcome back as I have been going through some health issues so have not been posting to much. I went through a surgery last week and felt some better but not out of the woods yet.
  19. The whole Force family has drag racing flowing through their veins and I bet the only way they can quit it is to die! JMHO
  20. I have not been well for almost two months so Daughter had to tend to feeders and I have about 6 birds that are regulars now and I just changed out the nectar in all the feeders 2 days ago. Have some medical plans coming up so will be coming and going here till I get my health back.
  21. sorry Wheel gunner. Can't help you with a Force motor. Don't know any mech's that work on Force motors.
  22. What brand motor ? Merc, Yama, John/Rudy?
  23. I had 2 Ruby Red throats for 2 days and have not see them so they must have been travelers. I still have 3 Juveniles hanging tight and they are on the feeders a lot.
  24. I'm glad to see folks are getting birds. I had one that kept coming to my deck where I had 5 feeders up last year and had about 20+ birds and I thought it was to early and been to cold but I made some nectar and put the feeders up anyway. That was Sunday and this morning I had two Ruby Red throat males and 3 what I think are juveniles as they are a lot smaller than the two males. I have the feeders on the deck on sheperd hooks mounted to the railings around the patio. I went out and sat and they were not bashful about coming to drink with me out there. I might get a couple more feeders if I get a lot of birds. I think one or two of the birds was here last year and remembered there was feeders here.
  25. Been though that twice Pop-pop and it's been by the grace of Jesus that I have made it this long. I have aged a lot faster since the opened me up the second time but I expected it as I'm 75 and drove my body hard for 35+ years on my life. I live alone except my old hound but the EMT's all know that there is no heroics during transport to the hospital. I trust Jesus with all my heart to do what is right.
