  1. Not sure if he is on here, he came out to shoot with us earlier this year. At some point I will do the same and go to one of his matches.
  2. Tennessee Sports Foundation has IDPA contact Chandlar LaFrain for more info. cslafrain@charter.net Of course we would be happy to have you shoot with us in Dickson at MCTS Music City Tactical Shooters
  3. The weather cooperated this morning and we got a match in. Thanks to all who came out to shoot, setup and tear down. We had some new faces out to the range which is always good.
  4. Welcome from another Damn Yankee (Michigan) PS You are still a Yankee, you must stay for a while to gradutate to "Damn Yankee"
  5. No worries Chip stuff like that has to come first. Hope to see you Saturday.
  6. 3 mags minimum Strong side holster Double mag pouch This match is 69 rounds if you shoot it perfect I will bring a holster and mag pouch for you, can arrange for another mag as well if you need it. You will also need to shoot from concealment (shirt, vest, or light jacket, etc).
  7. We have been trying to coax him out as well. You guys really need to give this a try and don't let Matt fool you he shoots well.
  8. Bronker I'll have a holster and mag pouch for you to borrow, bring that new G19 out with you.
  9. With eye and ear protection absolutely they are. You on the other hand will be shooting, correct?
  10. We have temporary parking on Coon Creek Road and you may cross the creek if you have high vehicle clearance. Do this at your own risk my 1/2 ton Silverado had clearance issues leaving the range on Saturday. Do Not park on the range driveway, we need to leave this open for those crossing the creek and those working on the bridge. The matches are worth a short walk into the range. Range setup will start at 8:00 AM we will need help with setup. Registration will not open until setup is complete, shooters meeting at 9:15, match begins at 9:30 If you are a new shooter you are of course welcome but must be there by 8:30 for a safety briefing.
  11. We will be having a match this Saturday. We will be shooting the stages that were setup for our May 1st match that was cancelled. http://www.mctsclub.com/MCTS05012010.pdf
  12. Rip-Rap at the bridge would be a good idea as well to make sure it doesn't get undercut with the next big storm.
  13. Michael and I got there early and cleared the big trees blocking the bridge and removed the remaining decking so the beams could be assessed. A big thanks to Nathan and Jason for bringing that tractor out. They were able to get the road in decent shape and got the deep ruts out of our bays. Myself, Michael, and Darryl prepared temporary parking, and did berm maintenance the rest of the day.
  14. Bronker, Great news thanks so much!
  15. On the near side of the bridge the right hand beam is about washed out. Can't tell if the beams are sitting on concrete pilings or if was just compacted gravel. I know Michael and Elizabeth have spoken today. See you out there Saturday.
  16. Chip Sorry to hear you got some flooding, take care of home first. If you can make it we will welcome the help.
  17. We should be there at 8:00 AM, If you can be out there that would be great the equipment will be greatly appreciated!
  18. That is awful, fill out the FEMA paper work!
  19. Can you ford the creek with it? There is a pretty gentle slope that they used to drive through next to the washed out bridge .
  20. All, Just a brief update on the range, Michael and I were out there this evening and this is what we know at this point. a) Bridge is out Access road is rutted up c) Bay 1 is rutted up d) Bay 2 is badly rutted up e) Bay 3 looks pretty good f) Woods walk looks to be in good shape g) Drainage ditches all need to be reworked We will be at the range this Saturday cleaning up. We need chainsaws, lawn mowers, weed wackers, shovels, rakes, etc. Our intent is to build a temp bridge for foot access we would like to get that done this Saturday as well. We will need saws, nailers, screw guns, generator etc. What we really need is You! If you have enjoyed shooting matches at MCTS then we need your support. We will be doing multi-year prepaid memberships, 50-50 plate rack side matches at all matches to raise money, donations, etc. I'm totally serious we need you and your support, I hope to see all of you on the range Saturday. Michael Bresson will be posting more detail soon.
  21. Yea we will recycle those stages. We were out there getting a few things done but no match, pouring and standing water in the bays. Creek was rising up pretty good as well.
  22. Chip, That is funny, that stage was called Vick's Place when I first put it out in 2007.
  23. We need good certified SO's for this match. You will shoot for free on Fri and work the match on Sat. Let me know if you are interested!
  24. Saturday May 1st is the next IDPA match at Music City Tactical Shooters. Setup will be at 8:00, match will begin at 9:30 or whenever setup is complete. Stages will be posted on website shortly. As always setup and teardown help is appreciated. See you on the range!
