  1. But how will you play this? https://youtu.be/CtwJvgPJ9xw I swear this song will not only increase your survivability but likeability in a SHTF world.
  2. Get a rolling bag or suitcase. Nothing says tactical like not carrying your own stuff.
  3. I'm planning on looking for a stock once I find the barrel I want. I may look at a shorter fixed stock like a M16A1.
  4. Another 75 rds of birdshot and 5 3in slugs. The slugs were quite different but didn't hurt. I think it is more than ready to ride in my truck.
  5. I looked at that but the tight ass in me is willing to do business with them to save some money. I figure that this build is probably going to be the last thing I can do for 4 years so I need to save some money while I'm in college. I hate Cheaper Than Dirt but I will save some money on buying unnecessary things that I don't really need.
  6. I want a AR with a rifle length gas system. Something that I can utilize 55 gr bullets out of and I can take out west and shoot prairie dogs with. I'd be OK with an 18" if I could find one. I also do want the increased muzzle velocity from a 16" barrel.
  7. So I'm looking at this for a barrel http://www.cheaperthandirt.com/product/7-YHM79T?td_source=search
  8. So all I'd have to buy if I kept my same upper is a barrel, gas tube, front sight, rear sight, and handguard.
  9. So I've been meaning to change something with my AR for a while and after the meet and greet I started doing my research on barrels and uppers. I want a 1:9 twist barrel and a full length gas system. From what I understand this leaves me with getting a 18" or 20" barrel. So would it be cheaper to buy a new barrel and all the additional parts or just buy a completed upper (a BCM upper). I honestly don't know squat about building and I'd probably need some guidance.
  10. I did have a thread on this a while back. Here it is http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/index.php?/topic/88006-Get-Home-Bag
  11. Montgomery County Shooting Complex would work if we just wanted a range where they aren't too concerned about what you do.
  12. I'm not claiming to be the "be all, end all" when it comes to shooting. I can see your side of the coin but I don't agree with it. I can also see that you can't see mine. I'm just going to leave it at this post on this thread.
  13. Because they are so much better trained in the military with handguns right? I thought that the average soldier maybe touches a handgun once at boot and probably never again. I'm guessing your logic is that a soldier is much better trained with a handgun than the average citizen? So let me put this into an example for you: for the last 5 years I have shot a minimum of 250 shells a week in my shotgun and the last year and a half I have shot about 100 rounds a month out of my pistol. Based on just total rounds that I have shot wouldn't that make me more qualified to carry either of these weapons that a soldier? I'm sorry but we will let an 18 year old vote and buy a long gun but not buy or carry a handgun. This is asinine. Maybe I'm wrong, maybe I'm right but I'm technically wrong because I haven't reached an arbitrary age where I suddenly become more responsible.
  14. I'll look into a compensator or a standoff just for you.
  15. If we want to get technical, it would closer to FITASC.
  16. Just three guns? Shoot that's a minimum of guns that I bring for myself when I travel but it's usually 4 or 5.
  17. Damn I'm good. No I just based that off of what I hunt everything with.
  18. Oh sure but if I'm operating a drone and I see a gun with a gun I'm scooting. That's why I suggested the duck loads. Throw in a IC or LM choke and it flies it dies.
  19. Something for hunting ducks or geese would probably be better. 3 or 3.5 inch 2s or 3s would be better for a moving target.
  20. Also started a thread for the next meet and greet/range day. http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/topic/89661-next-tgo-meet-and-greet-range-day/
  21. So I thought I'd start a thread so we can get a time, date, and place.
  22. Well at this point I'm not sure if the mohawk or the openly carried shotgun would cause the heart failures.
  23. I'm not up to date on open carrying a long gun. I think it would have scared a few of the customers to death.
