  1. Look for a 20 or 29, they're much funner. I bought one for Monkey's birthday last April, we've got way more than we need. They're addicting!
  2. Well, the worst fear has come true. I now have 5 dogs with Kennel Cough. All 4 of the Blacklist Puppies now have it as just confirmed at the vet. Our own dog, Earl also picked it up. Apparently when they mean Airborne they mean set up a hazmat washing station in your home. Everyone has medicine and everyone has at least one dose in them. The good news is Cooper only has 3 days left then he can join General Population again. If they have it once, apparently they can't catch it again, and so now all I have to do is keep an eye on our other 4 personal dogs and make sure they haven't picked it up. I cannot even begin to tell you how upsetting this is. I am so angry at the shelter but I should have segregated them all from each other until we knew what was what. The vet tech said that this year has been really bad for Kennel Cough. She said that even dogs that have been vaccinated are coming in with it.    Of the $1,100 raised so far, we don't see that full amount. They take about 1.5% as a processing fee. I have spent $725.16. I added all the vet receipts and TSC receipts to the YouCaring account for full transparency sake. I want to be fully accountable to my donors. Monkey and I have talked and we will continue to care for the pups and get them healthy no matter the cost. If you haven't donated yet, please consider doing so if you can. If not, please just share our link on any social media you may have. The average share brings in $35, which is helpful and considerable. Thanks again for everything guys. Now this tired mama is going to go lay down and take a nap before the next round of meds are due!    https://www.youcaring.com/coop-liz-ressler-and-red-516225
  3. Here are pics of Liz, she is currently 5.5 weeks and will not be available for adoption for a while. At least until she is 12 weeks old: Here is Liz's brother Red, same for him as far as age and date of availability! Also, just wanted to remind you about Donald Ressler too. He is currently 9 weeks old and 15 lbs, he can be available in 3 weeks. If you are interested in any of the puppies you see here, please email me at predsgirl33@gmail.com (please include your TGO handle) and I will gladly send you an adoption application. There will be adoption fees for all the puppies which will just be the cost of their discounted vetting. This in turn allows us to pull more dogs to save their lives. Also, for those contributing funds, please know that anything over the goal will go directly to the rescue and helping us pull more dogs/puppies as we send these ones off to new homes.
  4.   Every donation, no matter the size ALWAYS helps! Thank you so much, I appreciate it!!       Technically this has been a group effort.      When we decided to put Daisy up for adoption after fully vetting her, she went to an amazing home that truly loves her. Being a person who helped facilitate that was an amazing feeling. Then, we sadly lost both of our girls and that feeling gutted me to the core. I felt empty. I immediately wanted Daisy back. I thought I made a mistake. I didn't get much. Then, the rescue that helped me find Daisy her home reached out one day and said hey can you transport a dog today? I ended up with 3 puppies coming home after I dropped that dog off. NEVER intended on that happening. Then the next day when I went to get my intended foster we went through intake and saw Cooper in his hopeless situation and I couldn't leave him there. I NEVER in my wildest dreams thought that I would end up with 10 dogs in our home. I don't think Monkey did either but luckily for me, he is a saint.  Glamora (The shelter named her) leaves us tomorrow and that leaves us with the 4 babies and our 5. Once Cooper is healed and recuperated enough to join the other 3 pups it will be much easier. God knows it isn't always relaxing but it is rewarding beyond anything I could have imagined. It will be hard to see Glamora go tomorrow, but I am happy because she has a foster waiting and a potential adopter coming to meet her when she arrives.   The generosity and outpouring of help has been amazing. I never predicted what I was going to do as I picked these pups up. It was just reacting to the scenarios as they happened. Once I was home I realized that Daisy's adoption fee was not going to cover all of the vetting for the pups. A rescue I know in Anna, Texas uses YouCaring because they take the least amount of money from the donations. So I started it, never dreaming that it would reach what it has. I thought $400 per puppy was enough to fully vet because we get discounts through the rescue. But then Cooper developed Kennel Cough and things just started to snowball. LOL I have learned that as I go, I might not tackle 5 at a time again. Especially the 4 puppies with a neurotic Border Collie mix.    At the end of the day I just owe you all a HUGE thank you and I plan to do that once the weather is warmer. We'll have a BBQ and Shoot day or something. From the bottom of my heart, I promise you these pups will all be healthy and fully vetted and we will find them the best homes EVER. Thank you!!
  5. Thanks Bersa! We appreciate it! Tell Kasey thanks for sharing!!
  6. I'm so sorry to hear that. That's just awful! I appreciate the donation though. I was trying to figure out who it was in order to send an email to thank you. The pups really appreciate it!!
  7. I've gotten two requests for Red and 1 for Liz so far. I'm going to go in order of receipt to be fair. You can email me at predsgirl33@gmail.com if you'd like pics emailed of a particular dog and to also get an adoption application! Thanks for the interest! https://www.youcaring.com/coop-liz-ressler-and-red-516225
  8. I'd actually show them Donald if I was you. Vet said he'll be a medium size and he's the kinda boy that loves to play and have fun. Cooper is going to need x-rays at 6 months to determine if his legs will grow out from under him. He's kinda weird when he stands. We want to make sure he's not in pain. He will probably be with us a while.
  9. 3 of the Fab Four are! The two very small pups and Donald Ressler. Cooper is still too ill at this point and he's in severe need of weight added. The family that adopted Daisy could be smart to think about Donald Ressler. If they wanted Ressler for a play mate for her! LOL he's gonna be a big old farm dog.
  10. You sir made my heart burst! And I also got an adoption inquiry! Today is a great day! Thanks so much!!
  11. Excellent Point! Thanks for the suggestion! https://www.youcaring.com/coop-liz-ressler-and-red-516225 There is the link to the YouCaring as well! Thanks again, title edited and link to fund raiser included again. Thanks ya'll!
  12. We have a friend who's a retired LEO. She goes above and beyond to hide her name. Please don't feel the need to donate again. Once is enough. Like I said, we have savings, and I'll tap that if I have to. These 4 are so amazing they deserve it!!
  13. PS: I'm really hoping to place some of these guys with fellow TGO members. Daisy hit the Jackpot with an amazing member and I feel like some of the other pups could as well! If your in the market, let me know!!
  14. nah, we're just suckers for Mutts! Scary thing is, Ressler started coughing this morning and he may or may not be coming down with KC. I've moved him to another room (thank god we aren't in our old small house) to see. It's either KC or he's choking up plastic from the puppy pads. If it continues or gets worse he's going to the vet first thing tomorrow. Even if you can't donate, please share our story! Luckily we're tax exempt because of rescue status but I spent $150 yesterday on pads, food and milk again. I don't know how parents with babies do it!!
  15. I'm just shocked this keeps going to the top EVERYTIME I hit new content. I mean, let's talk about how hilarious it was when Brady walked out for the MVP lineup and got boo'd. Or how ridiculous he looked.
  16. Thanks so much! We have one leaving for CT on Friday. She isn't part of the https://www.youcaring.com/coop-liz-ressler-and-red-516225 because she was fully sponsored. The poor thing has been in the shelter most of her 6mo of life. She doesn't even know what to do with or how to handle a pig ear. She's danced around it, jumped from it and now she's laying next to it. Cooper is recovering very well. He's a very special boy, to have the horrible 3 months of life he did, I'm shocked at how resilient he is. He's damn near perfect. We just need to get him to the proper weight and healed from the Kennel Cough. Ressler, talk about an amazing pup. He's going to be a great dog. Probably a big, lazy couch dog. But a good guard dog. Everything gets his attention and he listens really good! We're a bit from our goal but I am shocked at the kindness and generosity of everyone. Did I mention Australia? Just amazing. Tonight I feel fortunate. I got a check in from an exhausted Daisy who is thriving in her new home and she's quite honestly the reason I took this on. It's just nice to know there are people out there willing to help these dogs with me!! Social media of any kind is our greatest chance to meet the goal so even if you can't donate, a share goes a long way! Even Australia. ;-) Edit for auto correct mistakes. I hate my iphone.
  17. Just have it checked. Worse comes to worse they run a panel and your ok. But there's a lot of people who have it and never get diagnosed or treated. Or do some reading on hypo and hyper thyroid. If anything fits, then do it.
  18. Your thyroid has everything to do with your endocrine system. If your doctor runs a panel, you could be hypothyroid, hyperthyroid or normal. Sometimes it takes a few times being tested to nail it unless your numbers are super crazy. Do you ever have fatigue, anxiety, or do you just mainly suffer from insomnia?
  19. I emailed her this morning. Thank you very much, I really appreciated it. She was very sweet to share it on all of her social media accounts. The more this spreads the better our chances! We're doing so good, I don't want to lose momentum. The rescue I have been fostering for is sending 6 dogs to CT this weekend which will put us down to just the 4 puppies. Which is a bit of a relief. Puppies are the hardest. Incase anybody is looking for the link: https://www.youcaring.com/coop-liz-ressler-and-red-516225
  20. You aound a lot like me. Just curious, have you ever had your thyroid checked? It takes me anywhere from 30 minutes to 5 hours to go toned most nights. I have thoughts that swirl. Things that don't even mean anything. I wake up to use the rest room and there's always a song in my head. If there's any chance that sounds familiar to you, I would really recommended having your doctor run a full thyroid panel. TSH, T3, T4, free T3, free T4. And again, I'm serious about the P5P. It helps me a lot.
  21. The only thing I am watching is puppy pads and puppy wrestling in my own home! LOL we're cord cutters so sadly we missed the pig game. And you're right, he's going to be pretty big. I'm thinking the size of a sheep dog.
  22. OK, well the time has come. I got an email tonight from the rescue asking if I was ready to let Donald Ressler go. To CT. The short answer is no. He needs more booster shots and to be neutered. The fact of the matter is a large portion of the funds raised also came from TGO members. So, here's the deal, I wanted to give you all first dibs on this guy. If you have been thinking about a puppy, this might be your man. Pardon the shots, he only holds still for treats! Good news, he didn't pee in the bed. This is his masculine pose called "deep in thought". Getting squirmy here... Not eating my finger, it was a Charlie Bear treat. So here is where it stands, he will miss this transport to CT because of age, lack of boosters and still being intact. Which means now is the time to speak up if you think you want this stud muffin in your life. He is going to be a big boy. He has no tail. Just a nub which occasionally wiggles. He is sweet and adorable and he will be a big boy. We cannot guarantee his breed at all. I say Great Pyrenees because his head is pointy like one. My MiL is in love with him because he reminds her of her St. Bernard. His adoption fees are only his vet bills. I do this because it allows me to help the next puppy I find in need. We're looking around $250 - $300 for him. He has about 2 more weeks before he can be neutered. So, if you are interested, shoot me an email at predsgirl33@gmail.com and I will send you an adoption application. Thanks!
  23. No kidding. TGO'ers will have first dibs on all pups. Like I said Ressler will be up for dibs first, he's a healthy little giant. I have to wait a few more weeks for him to grow his berries so they can be plucked though. He's so fluffy and cute. He sleeps upside down on his back like our rotties. He's going to be a great family dog. Red and Liz have at least 2-3 months to go just because they're so tiny still. Cooper is here for a while. I need the kennel cough to go away and him to have perfect weight and muscle built. Thanks again to all the donors. It's more than appreciated! I'm going to nap now since they're knocked out. I'm a bit behind on sleep! LOL Enjoy the super bowl!
  24. You guys are both great. Got another very generous donation this morning we're now up to $625! The first puppy we'll be placing is Donald Ressler. He's the Pyrnesse and something mix. He's going to be a hoss. He's already 16 lbs at 8.5 weeks. I'm going to take individual pics today so you can see them all. Except Cooper. He's vouching more today so I'm trying to leave him alone. Except when I take naps with him.
  25. Melatonin gives me insane nightmares that are like Texas Chainsaw Massacre on a Monster energy drink. My doctor's PA told me about P5P it's a version of B6 and it has helped me a lot. I have insomnia issues (clearly) and when I take it, it cuts it down, I also sleep better. It's like $12 at the Vitamin Shoppe. Good luck!
