  1. I did! Did I not send you a thank you email? If I didn't I am so sorry! I've been trying to make sure I reach out to everyone! Everyone has been so kind and gracious. Except our mail lady!!
  2. The hilarious part is my family is German. But way to be so smart! Especially considering I'm green with a fake nose on in my avatar!
  3. In my country, where we come from, we have ways of making people talk!! :-)
  4. I miss my delivery drivers. We can't get anything delivered here! But when ever I ordered online, I always did at least $7 for the tip. It never took over 30, we'd always get plates, napkins and parmesan. Everyone was always thankful. But I was a server briefly and unless you're a complete DBag, you're going to get a good tip.
  5. Let 'er rip tater chip! What was in the case? Where was it? How'd it get stolen? Spill!!!
  6. No offense, but if I make a complaint, I will never see a piece of mail again. Ever. It's different out here than in the city. In Crieve Hall, my lady was awesome. This is different out here. He doesn't speak to us other than to complain about how much Amazon orders we get or that we should really invest in a PO Box. They screwed up an overnight of a knife from GT that was a Christmas present and marked it undeliverable. I don't leave our house. Ever. Especially when there's a package coming. I called the 1-800 number, sat on hold 45 minutes and got a mouth breather who couldn't help me with my problem. I highly doubt an online complaint would be much different. The only thing that's even gotten an ounce of respect from the guy is when he's seen our guns. We open carry at home on the property. But that glimmer of politeness has even faded.
  7. So what kind of show were you headed for in your sandles and robe?!?!
  8. Well again, I just have to say thank you to JPS. For proving again that people are amazing and showing me not all mail men are evil and old. LOL   I just wanted to tell you all that most of our donations and wish list items have come from TGO members. I brag about you all. At the vet, at TSC, everywhere I go when I have to shop for this crazy cabal of pups. I make sure people know that the majority of help has been from amazingly smart, handsome, well spoken, highly educated men from a website called TGO. Because it's the truth. I think we'd be up the creek without a paddle without most of you. I want you to know I really value this board for several reasons but the humanity alone that you all have shown has been amazing. I will always brag about my amazing donors and the spirit, kindness and caring they have shown us! I hope you all have a great weekend!
  9. Brace yourselves. I am now going to do something unusual for me.   I just got an Amazon box, I admit I was napping because when the puppies sleep I sleep. But my big boys were outside. I woke up and ran outside and he had left it at the gate (My regular POS leaves me a "come and get it ticket"). He got back out of his car, picked it up, said because it's a bit heavy!!! WHATTTTTTT???    Thank you BTW because it was a puppy donation from the Amazon List! Money was about to get his butt whooped for ordering something heavy. Turns out it was wet food. LOL    But there, I did it. I said something nice about a rural mailman!   Also, my hair looked much like my avatar, only real and not an afro wig when I ran out. I am surprised he stayed. LOL  :bowrofl:  :bowrofl:  :bowrofl:
  10. We only have a rural postman. He's old, crotchety and I'd almost swear he's drunk half the time. He hates our driveway. Complains that he can't turn around on it. Told my husband and myself that we could save a lot of time if we would go to the post office and get a po box. WHAT!?!?!? And when he has packages, he'll pull up, honk, make us walk out to his car, he'll pop the trunk and tell us what to grab. No kidding. I want to punch the SOB half the time. I've thought of complaining but then I wouldn't ever see any of my mail.
  11. I was 10mm before Comms was even a member! ;) But I am also open to .45 and 9mm!
  12. Got to is an opinion sadly. Clearly we can hope, but there's no guarantee. However, with it being an elected position, they'd be an idiot not to. I don't even know enough about the law but clearly there was intent to cause bodily harm, I don't know if I could use the world malice or not. But it seemed very deliberate if he sped up to slow him to a stop in order to attack him. I don't understand why the local news isn't reporting the victims age. I would think that would encourage the DA to add additional charges. I'd hope that gen pop will take care of him and give an ounce of justice much like they do with rapists and molestors.
  13. Oh does that make me jealous! His reaction is priceless and hilarious.
  14. Just saw it as well. I am so very sorry to have read it. I hope that the DA can add more charges. Thoughts and condolences to his friends and family, so very sorry for their loss.
  15. I'm just so grateful! Big thank you to JHC77! Your gift of peepee pads arrived just now. My UPS must think Monkey has a secret love because he's received 2 "gift boxes" now. You saved me a trip to town tomorrow, in possible snow or this wet/wind right now! Thank you so much! My new tires are awesome, but this was great!
  16. LOL touche! I honestly pray everytime we go in, that it won't be there. Because one day, I will lose self control. I haven't touched a 1911 since my HCP course. I had FTE issues with it so I ended up having to use my instructors 1911, which had a threaded barrel. It kept getting caught on my holster. It was hot as heck, I was sweating, the threaded barrel got caught on the HORRIBLE holster I was using. I was lucky I still got a 96. Lots of breathing and a great instructor got me through that. My 1911 has been sitting in the safe since then. It's an old SA that Monkey rebuilt with mostly Ed Brown parts himself. It was a great gun but it needs some love. It was the second gun I'd ever shot and the first one I LOVED. So instead of a beautiful, amazing piece of work for $1,300, I will eventually get the SA fixed. But damn, 3 more trips and who knows what I will do if it's still there. What makes me mad is I purchased 2 Glocks a while back, my 21sf I hate, my 20 I love. For what I spent on them, I could have got the Wesson. No regrets, but I had no clue the 21 was going to be such a hand hog. I'll probably eventually sell it and put it towards the Wesson.
  17. If you're talking about my beautiful bronze beauty.... Why I oughta!!!!
  18.   Sorry I didn't reply fast enough! For the record, it's called The Gun Shop and Trading Post. It's a magical place.
  19. You could check with my LGS, but they're in Livingston? My class had 4 people, it was lovely.
  20. They do. We live in a very rural spot. We have a farm fence, 5' tall with 4" wood posts every 6 feet. It's 2"x4" metal wire. We let out our dogs one night last year and my Staffordshire, Gibbs and Shar Pei mix Chiquita caught up with it. Now we still hear them running the wood line in the back, but they've never been back over it again. We didn't find blood, but we found its hair in both of their mouths and on the ground. They're very active here, I see them dead on 111 a lot. We've got a bobcat or three in the area behind us too. But we've never had issues other than the single fence hopper.
  21. LOL! This is sage wisdom. Lucky for me, I do have a rescue that I am working with. The thing is, she's a woman in her 50's who's winding down in the world of rescue, so she doesn't foster anymore. She has funds, but a lot of it comes from her and her husband. This all started with that dang Coon Hound Daisy! It was rewarding. The ones we have now, totally not planned to have that many at once. But see, this area is NOTHING like Nashville when it comes to pets. Here, they're disposable or currency. I've driven by a lot of dogs because I know I can't help them all. But these 5, they were just babes. Young, starving in some cases and treated badly. So I stepped up. I took on more than what I should have and more than what the rescue could help with and so it comes down to me. Ultimately, there have been amazing people to help us. I am beyond shocked, proud and inspired. But these 5 are my focus right now. I actually just did vaccines. With a needle. That's something I NEVER thought I'd be able to do. When this is said and done and these 5 have a home, I will continue to do this. But it will be 1 or 2 at a time. Not 5. Trust me, I totally 1,000% realize how crazy I look. ;)
  22. I knew the guy was a prick but when I read the story I had no idea about the victim or his age. I am so sorry for those of you who know him. I hope the man gets more than manslaughter charges. Clearly it was premeditated if he driver around and purposely stopped him. He deserves more than what could decently say.
  23. It is funny. I kept staring at $536 and saying ok, how will this work. I figured I'd tackle it dog by dog and hope that donations kept coming as each dog was being adopted. But for some reason there hasn't been much interest in Ressler or the two little pups who will be ready soon. So the rescue I am working with has them listed. But I kept seeing $536 and wondering. I'm good of food and potty pads but vetting was the worry so I thought hmm, we'll come out of our pockets or I will sell a gun. Suddenly I had two donations come in at the exact same time and a text offering boosters for free this week. Suddenly cleaning the pens and unfolding puppy pads was fun. We're not to the goal yet and picking up the stray yesterday doesn't help, but I couldn't leave her there. I'm learning one way or another it will always work out.
  24. I'd kiss you right now if I could. I was literally sitting in my office freaking out a bit and you sent money and a friend sent $75. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't crying. I never realized how hard this would be. People like you, angels that help, have shown me what is possible. The math alone when you look at it in black and white seems impossible. With your help and Katie's that just covered boosters. Thank you, beyond thank you. Times a million. That was the boost I needed to keep me going.
  25. Well I think this will be my final update for The Blacklist Pups. I feel like I have harassed you all enough. If you want, you can click on the link for the YouCaring page and subscribe to my updates there. I just wanted to share the girl we found wandering down the road yesterday. She has no name yet but I am leaving towards Mascha. This is her terrified and stressed after I ran to her in the road, put a leash around her neck and put her in the back of the truck. She is HUGE. Her feet fill the palm of my hand and her legs are like baby tree trunks. It is amazing. This is the dirty birdie once we finally got her home and into a room where she could be secluded until I get her to the vet tomorrow. I need to make sure she is fully healthy before I do anything else. I can't risk anything else happening to the pups. Finally here she is washed and ready to be blow dried. I think she has some Newfie in her. Her coat is super long and fluffy. Luckily, I think she is around 12-14 weeks old. Which means I can get her hopefully spayed around the same time as Ressler. Who we finally have interest in from a family. They've asked a lot of the important questions so now we are just waiting to get an application back to move forward if they are really interested. I want to thank all of you who have been so generous to donate. Without your help, I don't even know where we would be. I am going to talk to my doctor about getting scanned for the puppy magnet so we can get it removed. LOL For one last time I am going to do this as well. Below is the link to the YouCaring page where you can sign up for all future updates on the puppies. It is where I load all receipts from what I have spent as well as photos of the pups. It is where you can donate or use links to share our story as well, which is always appreciated. https://www.youcaring.com/coop-liz-ressler-and-red-516225 Lastly, a link to our Amazon Wish List. This is basically to help with Food (Dry and Wet) and Puppy pads. They are all Amazon Prime options which means free shipping if you are a prime member but it will come straight to our house once you select Wish List Recipient. https://amzn.com/w/1T8GYU8KCI9XU Once again, thank you for EVERYTHING you have done to help from donations to sharing. Monkey and I appreciate it more then we can ever tell you and again, like I said, for the sake of transparency all receipts are loaded into the you caring. I do have a few I need to add from recent food and puppy pad shopping trips.
