1. Yes, in my case it's called a EWA (Executive Wife Action) where I go buy it. I've had excellent self control on this one. Did I mention it's bronze? It's worthy of the title sexual chocolate if I ever got it. Which is totally inappropriate but it's a $1,300 gun. I'm a bit woozy considering the time of night but I have 3 puppies who love to wrestle in pitch black. Maybe Hot Brown? One day it will be mine.
2. The bad part is when you find one and they have an incredible Dan Wesson that is the most beautiful thing you've ever seen and everytime you go in (quite a bit), it's sitting there haunting you. What's worse is when your friend gets one. Rubs it in your face, talks about how awesome it is and posts it all over Facebook knowing you want the one at the LGS. It's killing me slowly.
3. It is awful where we live. I am a huge believer that it's because of ignorance and boredom. We run people off every weekend during the good months. We've only had to chase people away once this winter. I've called the sheriff 3 times since we've been here (1 year) all for trespassers. The last time they fired shots. Where we live, average response time is 20-30 minutes. So we're always armed on property now.
4. OMG, LOL! Bersa, you've out done yourself, I laughed a dog right off my lap!
5. My LGS sounds way different than everyone else's. Maybe I buy too much or maybe they're too nice but I've yet to pay sales tax on a gun and we always leave happy and satisfied. Maybe you should start coming to my neck of the woods to shop!?!
6. You're really too kind. I'm actually more like the evil queen in Snow White and The Huntsman. I just happen to have a weakness for dogs. LOL I'll post photos tomorrow but I had Cooper and Ressler outside today in the sunshine and after an hour I had 2 pooped puppies. They've never slept that well before! I wish the weather didn't call for rain the rest of the week. I'd get them all outside!!
7. We have extreme penetrator in 10mm and LOVE it!! I'm a huge fan of theirs! Quick shipping, great service and an awesome product. I just wish it was a wee bit cheaper! I won't carry it as a self defense round because I'm scared that if I ever had to, it would go all the way through. But it is so smooth and it shoots great. I'd love to try it in a rifle.
8. I've never had a problem getting a good deal at my LGS. I've only done two transfers in the last year and one was because it was a smoking hot deal from Buds and the other was because it was a VERY hard to find rifle. I felt guilty both times, but I built my AR there and I've spent a pretty decent amount there in the year I've lived here. Hands down, it's the owner, his wife and some of the staff that keeps me coming back.
9. Ohhhh you tease! Mike!!! If I wasn't elbows deep in puppies, I'd be on my way tomorrow!
10. Nobody made them sign up for the debt but if you're going to blame these kids let's remember their parents let them play sports where points didn't matter. Where no was a bad word because it's "mean" or "could hurt the child's feelings". Parents of this generation are just as responsible even if they didn't sign the loan papers. I didn't go to college. I've worked part time since I was 15, full time since 18. I learned skills along the way and did that on my own. I make a decent living and my mom disciplined me. I knew the word no and I knew what being "poor" was. Even though by today's standards we were probably middle class. Life is what you choose to make it and parents play a part in teaching that roll. Let's not blame just the stupid kids. Let's also blame the parents afraid to actually teach there children about life.
11. Quick update, Ressler is scheduled for his neuter 2/29. This is possible because of all your help! I cannot even express to you my gratitude. Also, our oldest boy Max, my labaweiner, has KC now. Apparently it's just going to run through the whole house. I am so disappointed but I hope we caught it soon enough. It's so sad to see them cough. The worst sound I've ever heard.
12. I agree, and I appreciate Mac even letting me post this thread. We're almost to our goal now anyways, just a bit further to push so I think we're ok. But I appreciate Bersa's gesture. And I appreciate everyone's help. Thanks David!
13. It's stupid to me to lock someone up and jail them and have to pay for their 3 squares and burden the system more. This is where people like Mike Rowe are really correct in saying skill trades should be something that's heavily considered before enrolling in college. I have a cousin who's a perfect example of it. 3 semesters at UT where she partied and slept more than she went to class. She's still $40,000 in the hole and has no way to pay it back in the manner expected. I agree with Ski. Privatization of loans would make it harder to obtain and therefore we'd have people pursuing trades they can still make a good living at versus 4 years for a degree where they're still living in the basement at 30.
14. That was how our dogs were but they loved Daisy. Once I saw that, I went full steam ahead. ;-) spoiled dogs are happy dogs and that's all that matters to me. Molly is lucky! I just sat in the puppy pen for 30 minutes. It's the most calming place in the world. How can you get mad surrounded by fuzz? Personalities are starting to develop, it's amazing to watch!
15. Good Afternoon! So this is kind of a joke of the day and update in one. We don't have kids, nor will we ever. So my UPS man pulls up today with a small Amazon "Gift Inside" box and then a very large box containing a super tall baby gate with door. Monkey and I are killing our knees hopping over the other one and he's almost fallen more than once. So I decided we needed to save ourselves. The gift box shocked me, it also made me smile a bit because I was curious. Then I remember giving someone our address the other day. So as I am thinking about what it could be, my UPS man looks at me and says "ya'll aren't expecting are you?" to which I die laughing and said no it's for the puppies. Then I have to explain the hoard of puppies inside my house. Who are getting huge. Bigger by the day. To the point where I think Ressler is going to need his own crate/pen. Because this is how I have to feed them now. If they eat inside and they are sloppy the puppy pads get wasted when they get scratched and chewed at. Here's my proudest moment ever. Look at the belly on this guy! I am beyond proud of how much weight he has gained. The black stuff you see is something weird. It is either sap or some sort of adhesive/glue. I have to wait for his coat to get healthy enough to cut it. But here is Cooper with what was in the "gift box" we received 4 of these. And because he is a handsome little devil, I swear, I laugh hard every day at them. But sometimes I want to pull my hair out. Especially with the puppy pads. I put a clean one down, turn around and its covered. I don't know how parents do this for 1.5 - 2 years without crying every day. You're brave people human parents, very brave. And it would not be a pupdate if I didn't include this! https://www.youcaring.com/coop-liz-ressler-and-red-516225 Have a great day!!
16. I appreciate that more than you know! Each share can do so much! The average share brings in $37 dollars! Granted I've had a lot of generous donors but even $5 and $10 goes a long way when multiple donors happen!
17.     The true answer to that question is whatever you most feel comfortable with. Either one will work. The Wish List is just for Food and Pee Pads. Thats for people who want to pick what the send and know it's helping. When you get to shipping address just pick the second shipping address. It will say Wish List Recipient and then UPS will deliver it straight to the house. I have a bag and a half of dry food right now and a 15 day supply of wet food. Puppy Pads I am always low on.    The thing is, the rescue is tax exempt at TSC and Walmart so I can buy everything I need there and pay zero taxes. Which then to me would mean the YouCaring is the better option because I can spend the money and spend it tax free. But I also need to focus on vetting them and so then it just becomes a 50/50 or whatever to donor is comfortable doing. Anything we have extra, if we do, will just be invested back into more fosters and the food will be used for them along with pee pads and everything. This isn't a 2 times and I am done thing. This is a for the rest of my life thing. I am beyond grateful for the ability to do it. It is an amazing feeling. I just got an email today where our foster we just sent to CT is officially with her forever home and she will spend her summers on Martha's Vineyard! Can you believe that? So between her and Daisy, I know what I have done so far has made a huge difference in 2 lives. I have 4 more waiting for their chance.    I am exhausted so I think next time I am going to try to hold onto my marbles and not do 5 at one time. It gets kinda nutty in the house with our 5 on top of that! So anyways, either way of donating is great, it's just whatever anyone feels comfortable with. One thing I will say, if you go to the YouCaring page and flip through the donors, over 50% or more sat TGO. That to me is absolutely incredible and I cannot begin to express to you what it means to my husband and I that you all have helped so much. We really appreciate it more that you will ever know! https://www.youcaring.com/coop-liz-ressler-and-red-516225   https://amzn.com/w/1T8GYU8KCI9XU
18. Bersa pointed out to me that our Amazon Wishlist was not working because there was no address to ship to. I believe I have managed it! Blacklist Puppies Link: https://amzn.com/w/1T8GYU8KCI9XU It will default to your account but beneath that it should say wish list recipient. This is only for food (soft and wet) and potty pads. I kept it simple because I have enough old toys and things laying around! Also, our you caring had another boom and we're almost 3/4 of the way there! https://www.youcaring.com/coop-liz-ressler-and-red-516225 I still have only had 2 inquiries about adoption. If you're interested in adopting Ressler, Red or Liz please let me know!! Ressler will be ready in 2 weeks (3 months old). Red and Liz in about 6 weeks. Contact me if you'd like an adoption application! Thank you!!
19. Welcome to TGO! You'll find it's a great group of people. But Michiganders aren't yankees... We're mid-westerners... ;-) shhhh I'm trying to make it true!
20. Well tell Ms. Ginger thanks for typing the zero's! ;-) It's a very fun thing to do. I especially like puppies because that's the cutest time. I am tired of unfolding puppy pads though. We go through about 150 in 2 days. I've never had diaper duty because we don't have kids so I'm guessing this is my form of that. But x4 it's a lot more :poop: I can't wait until Red and Liz have shots so they can go outside. I also need it to warm up!
21. ggwilde, you're an incredibly kind person. Thank you and your wife. We appreciate it a lot! That covers the boosters next week for all 4 pups! Thank you!!
22. Well, if I was bright enough, I'd post videos, but that ability escapes me. I can post photos of them more if you guys would like.
23. Well the YouCaring is a bit off. We're up to $1,275. Thanks to a donation from Bersa! :) We have yet to have any inquiries about Ressler so if we don't get any applications he'll be going up for adoption out of state as well. The sooner these puppies are adopted, the sooner I can bring in more fosters. Our 5th Foster, Glamora, made it to CT yesterday to her new foster home with her Gads! https://www.youcaring.com/coop-liz-ressler-and-red-516225
24. I'm glad to report everyone is much better today. Meds help a lot. It looks like it's going to run its way through every dog in the house at this point. I'd like to remind you that we're still accepting applications for Ressler, Reddington and Liz. You can email me at predsgirl33@gmail.com and I will shoot one to you. They're gorgeous pups. Ressler will be ready in about 3 weeks and Liz and Red in about 8 weeks. That means Ressler will be 4 months and Liz and Red 3.5 months. Thanks! Also, I'd really rather find them Tennessee homes that are good than send them to CT!! Also, I wouldn't be me, if I didn't put this too. https://www.youcaring.com/coop-liz-ressler-and-red-516225 Also, TDR mentioned some people are nervous about YouCaring and using a card since its not as popular as GoFundMe. I made an Amazon Wish List for Puppy Pads and Food. Hopefully that helps make some people more comfortable. It will ship right to our house. My UPS man will hate me, but the puppies will be grateful! 25. If Monkey ever bought smaller tires, divorce would be on the table. I like a big truck with nubby, big tired. I also love mud and dirt roads. Your wife might feel opposite of that. The bigger the better.
