  1. I like the PF-9 a lot. The 9 is smaller than the 11, I can live with the 7 + 1 capacity, just pick up an extra mag from CCA and you will be good to go. Put about 50 rounds thru it to date. Mostly got this one for small carry. Watch the +P, it makes a really big bang and hurt my hand!! And yes, I do love my XD-9 as does anyone I give the privilage of shooting it. Had to get it back from little sis today, she used it for her HCP class this weekend. She loved it also, and she shoots it better than her 38 spl. BTW, anyone interested in a Rossi 38 spl, stainless?? She wants to sell or trade for semi-, preferably 9mm. I'll probably put it on classified later this month. Thanks for the congrats!!!
  2. ammo, nacho's, & beef jerky! Wow, I have finally arrived....
  3. Stopped by the mailbox after work and my HCP was there!!! 26 days after fingerprinting!!!! Wally World, here I come....
  4. now thats funny right there i don't care who you are!!!!
  5. when i was at the dmv, i was told not to expect anything for at least 4 months because they were processing from that station alone 20-25 applications daily, thats just from that location. taken into account for all the other stations, don't expect anything soon. seems someone was uninformed...seems they have to issue within 90 days. go figure
  6. this thread is now out of control. I suggest you boys/men put your different calibers away and quit talking about them. If anyone tells me yours has not accidentally gone off, I'll call you a liar!!
  7. hahahah----good one
  8. It is then Sam's responsibility to make sure the shotgun is unloaded. CAUSE, Mark & Joe didn't know that Sam was sleeping with Fred's wife, and when Mark & Joe went to take a pee, Fred slipped a round into the shotgun. So in order to avoid a potential shooting, Sam now assumes the rule and makes sure it is not loaded. Then, when Sam finds a load in the barrel, him/Mark/Joe beat the crap out of Fred for this stupid & hidious ordeal. Sounds stupid doesn't it??? So does thinking a gun in a big box store is unloaded. Just my two cents worth!!
  9. 615.253.5221 866.849.3548 (toll free) expect to not be able to understand the person on the other end, as they mumble and seem so excited about being employed. call me old fashioned, but i hate to talk to someone on the phone who sounds like they have a mouth full of s**t...but thats just me.
  10. when taking my hcp class, rule #1: ALL guns are loaded. Period. The first time I went shooting with my xd, i was with a buddy who knew me but didn't really know me. after we finished shooting, i was putting the gun into my computer case and stopped to chat with my buddy. unbeknownst to me, i was talking with the pistol pointed right at him. i noticed he did the "bob & weave" thingy and put his hands up and i realized what i was doing. being new to guns / shooting, although I knew it was unloaded, he didn't. SOOOO, my take is: if someone points a gun at you, GET PISSED!!! Do some ass chewing, get pissed again, and then do some more ass chewing. even though you were at a big box store, remember rule #1. seem's like rule #2 was never point it at anything you were not willing to destroy. need i say more.
  11. really??? your kids (if u have any) must not have reached their driving years with either their car or one of your other vehicles!!
  12. wow, you are to be admired. i need to drop 50, can't believe you put both legs into one like that, cool...... keep up the very hard work and you are to be applauded on something that is extremely difficult. u r us fatboys hero!!!!
  13. fingerprinted Dec 16th, made the infamous phone call today (3 weeks) and was told it processed today and to allow 7 - 10 days b4 I received it. Funny how everyone is saying the same thing, when u make the phone call, you were either processed the day b4 or on that day. Hummmmm, what if you didn't make that call???? i thinks i smell something
  14. figured he gave the sign to wrong person and got shot off!!!!
  15. try blazer brass from wally's. i use it in 9mm and its cheap. i've seen it in .45 but don't know how much. typically, bb is cheaper the wwb. check that out.....wally's has the best prices going for blazier when you can find it. bb has been cheaper than bulk pricing on internet, go figure...
  16. i took mine apart not long after i got it, you know, familarize yourself with your gun, forgot to put the barrel and spring back in, put the slide on, locked up tighter than, well you know.....to this day i don't know what i did to free it. but, all is right with the world now.
  17. congrats!!! the fun now begins....nothing like it though. get a couple of easily startled dogs, an alarm, and nosey neighbors and all will be right with the world
  18. looks good, just fed mine some rounds tonite, little sister also used it, she took it home, bye-bye XD-9, enjoy your new home.....
