  1. If you want one like the restaurants make it...both of those are a solution. If you want a GOOD margarita, squeeze about 6 limes, 1 lemon, add a cup of tequila, half a cup of triple sec, splash of simple syrup (sugar water for us rednecks) rim a glass with lime juice and kosher salt, toss it in with some crushed ice.... And the panties drop. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
  2. I like it. Very Sun Tzu. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
  3. Yeah, I made a typo on a form 1 a few months back and I was told it would take 6 months for my refund. So I don't really want to fool with that jackassery twice. I have a contact up there I will email in the morning to see if I can get the official answer from our class III overlords. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
  4. I bought a Sneaky Bag Spyder for short SBRs (I think like 26 in or less) and AOWs a few weeks ago after being very unimpressed with a couple of different discreet carry options. This thing is awesome. It will hold an SBR, AOW, 4 full mags, suppressor, pistol w/ mags and has another pouch for accessories. I hate leaving my stuff in the truck after I go to the range...especially class III things that would dictate a huge updoar if stolen. This bag lets me take it with me into places without setting off bells and whistles. Considering the amount of $$$ I have in bags that don't make the cut, this one is worth the price tag. 5. All valid points. I think this warrants an email to the ATF. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
  6. I was on AR15.com earlier trying to find an answer to this...I am hoping one of y'all has either attempted this or has enough working knowledge of the NFA to answer it. I have a Remington Witness Protection I am transferring from a friend. AOW built from a local shop in Nashville. I was wondering if it's possible to simultaneously have that weapon registered as an AOW and an SBS if I pay the $5 and $200 tax and form 1 it. That way I can go back and forth between configurations. The more I read the murkier the water got. Aaaand go. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk

    10mm?

Try a couple different rounds before you make up your mind. I bought a box of different double tap, buffalo bore and underwood just to see what it liked to eat and what abuse I was willing to take. If you decide you don't want to keep it let me know, my dad has been eyeing my 29 and I don't know how much longer I can fend him off. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
  8. Dude I was in there yesterday and they rented an AR to a young woman who clearly had no experience with firearms. She spun around with TWO fingers on the trigger, safety off, and flagged the shit out of me (literally, I thought I was gonna have to change my underwear). All that went through my mind was, "I made it through a war zone to get killed by a sorority girl in Nashville." It amazes me they don't require fundamentals training to shoot on their range....or any range for that matter. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
  9. I think they have their strategy wrong in the first place. They should really be selling a package class to inexperienced shooters. 2 hours of private training plus the handgun permit course. And I know exactly what girl you're talking about...no she is not an owner, just an employee. I got into a squabble with her once about unholstering my carry gun to shoot it. 10. Man you must have really pissed someone off to get Navy orders to a landlocked state. The only Navy we have is in Knoxville on game day. I have a few buddies down that way, I'll ask around. I am trying to get a few things in the books around Nashville. It's a bit of a hike but I'll let you know. Are you opposed to going to Mississippi? Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
  11. Thats what I was thinking. I tried the G43 for one day pocket carry. I tried to draw it...it would have been faster just to pull a brick out of my pocket. Now I carry it IWB and don't even know its there. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
  12. I wonder if wood would hold up to all that weight. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
  13. It appears that is what they have done. The Revolution brand has a comparable fire rating to what i have now AND the Pendleton interior. I may be wrong, I am planning on giving them a call. I wish I could just buy their interior design but they don't sell it. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
  14. That's what I don't get. This one claims to have a 1200 degree fire rating. But the actual Pendleton's didn't. It's made out of a completely different material.
  15. I HATE traditional safes. I have two and I am getting rid of both of them after years of angrily pulling out the one gun I need from the back, watching ARs and SBRs fall around in there, never having enough capacity....and the list goes on.   So I'm contemplating one of these Revolution Safes. https://www.revolutionsafes.com/products/stronghold-xl-tactical-edition/  First, ignore the price tag. I already talked with my wife and after I busted a Leupold Mark 4 LR/T a few weeks ago because it shifted out of my safe she realized the value in this thing. Buy once, cry once and have one safe that fits all my needs. I need a safe to hold ARs, SBRs, hunting rifles and shotguns, collector stuff, a bunch of pistols, and odd shaped things like AOWs and suppressors. This fits the bill. And from what I understand it's a solid safe with all the Pendleton gadgets without an $8k price tag.   Did anyone get there hands on one of these at the NRA convention? I was over that way but got distracted by the Pendleton safes and didn't see them. I can't find anyone around Nashville that has one...wondering if I need to make a little trip down to Atlanta to check them out.
  16. What section should I post about a gun safe? I'm about to buy one and I want to see if anyone has one of these and feedback. Thanks.
  17. I'll post some more after a while. The opposite side has a small chunk out of the wood but apparently the masses have spoken so I guess I'll leave it alone. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
  18. I had a guy who knew about these things check it out a while back. The numbers all match. I forget the make and year...i have it written down somewhere. I'll look around for it. I know a lot more about my black rifles than these old long guns. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
  19. Here it is compared to my 1903 Springfield. Sorry, camera phone is all I got. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
  20. My grandpa just gave me his 8mm Mauser. A little history, his brother mailed it to him during WW2 when they captured a train carrying munitions in Germany. The thing has the Nazi symbols and all. It was still packed with the factory 9grease when it made it to Mississippi (oh how far we have come what can be sent through the mail). Anyways, my grandpa used this thing like a workhorse (still kills me). It has fallen out of deer stands, off of four wheelers, bounced around a pickup, and suffered years of southern humidity. The metal is in pretty good shape but the stock looks like a beaver got ahold of it. I have no intention of shooting it (maybe once in a blue moon) and no intention to sell. So will it depreciate if I get someone to refurbish the stock/metal? I plan on passing it down to my kids/grandkids and I dont want my grandson to be cussing me in 40 years for "ruining the gun". But in its current state it...irks me. Pics when I get home. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
  21. The only time I saw jacket separation like this was my buddy and I were at the range all day and he had one of those heat mirage mitigation deals on his can and it overheated and caused some metal to sheer off the bullet. I'm sure someone will come along that's seen it and dealt with it. I'll ask some guys. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
  22. Uhhhh...pretty sure that's not normal. What ammo, can, caliber, etc. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
  23. That is almost exactly what I do with all of my HD sights. They are brutal to carry but great to shoot. I went to Lowes and bought a small file kit and then went back with a sharpie. It doesn't take much, just round the back corners off. Didn't change the sight picture. Sidenote, what holster do you carry your 29 in? I carry my 19/43, but I would like an IWB option for my 29. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
  24. My 19 runs great with a TiRant 9 can too. (Gen 4) The rmr is sweet when shooting with a can. I hate elevated sights. The only thing I don't like about the rmr on the small caliber glocks is the rmr is a hair wider than the frame. But that's just a compulsive looks thing for me. I don't think I would ever carry one or use for home defense, but its great at the range, hunting, etc. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
  25. Mine is a Gen 3...but no, I haven't found a Gen 4 floating around. Regardless, I have a bunch of $$$ tied up in my current 21 due to the RMR optic and machining. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
