  1. It's had 300+ rounds through it now. It's not a "break in" issue, nor should a Sig have one.
  2. I am so pissed off about this. I can't believe I let my stupid friend talk me into buying this gun. I want my Glock back. Raoul: It appears that I have the old style grip; however it also appears that I have all old style magazines too...
  3. all 5 mags are Sig brand and all 5 mags have the problem. I think maybe it could be the mag catch in the gun.
  4. UPDATE: 1) Description of problem: When feeding a round from the magazine, the round gets stuck 1/2 way. See pics. Took the gun back to Franklin Gun Shop. I showed them the problem. They "determined" that is was ammo related. They tried some PMC ammo and it didn't fail to feed. They basically told me the ammo I was using was "cheap" and that is what caused the malfunction. The ammo I am using is Atlanta Arms reloads. I've fired a TON of them through the Glock with ZERO problems; however the box of PMC I bought ran through the gun fine. The guys at On Target were awesome today. They worked with me all day on this even though I didn't buy the gun from them. They are calling B.S. on the problem being the ammo. They gave me a Sig P229 to test and the Atlanta Arms .40 ran through it without any problems. (The 229 was a damn nice gun BTW). Synopsis: I'm going to use the gun this weekend (with PMC ammo) for my training/shooting event and then after that I'm calling Sig Sauer to discuss the issue. I'm sure they will get a kick out of me telling them I want my Glock back.
  5. Well, it sure is purty. Too bad it doesn't function properly. Brand new gun fails to chamber a round from the magazine every time. Magazines fit loosly. Quality appears to be pretty poor. I'm taking it back to the Franklin Gun store. Let's see how they handle this.
  6. Took tomorrow off to get my taxes done. After that I will introduce her to On Target. added new pics
  7. It's only marginally smaller than my full size Glock G22. That pic was taken by my iphone in the truck. now that Im home I'll take a couple more. Jcochran... I did post a pic. photobucket is getting slower lately.
  8. I intend to use a blackhawk holster. the paddle and belt clip attachments can be removed leaving threaded bolt holes. I will be using these holes to permanently attach the holster to the right side of the center console, near the shifter. In my truck, this spot is out of the way of the front seat passenger, but easily reached by me. My only worry, is that it would be somewhat in the open. If I got pulled over, and didn't move it, the LEO might get antsy.
  9. TGO: Best hardware guys on tha webs.
  10. "Cocked, Locked, and ready to Rock." --some cheeseball in "The Rock" I am in the market for a 12ga... but in all actuality, for HD, I think my new Sig will get the job done. No sense blowing holes in mah couch.
  11. Nice. When you get tired of it, let a brotha know.
  12. Just picked up today. Sig Sauer P250 .40 compact (mid size frame). Love this thing! Andy's in there for size reference Also picked up 4 extra magazines and a holster. You can envy me now. It's ok. If not, wait 1 month when I post up my new rifle...
  13. Well, I've been reading some hiking/backpacking magazines and I think I might actually do a little... probably start easy though because I'm WAY out of shape. lol
  14. www.caseclub.com is where we get our Pelican cases. They usually have great prices. They're on ebay too.
  15. Reminds me about something I need to add to my bugout bag
  16. If middle TN becomes "inhospitable"... I would probably migrate towards east TN (Nantahala Nat'l Forest / Smokies / etc) But only because I am very familiar with this area. I havent really thought it out past this.
  17. Thanks for all the info guys. I'll be using it for camping in TN and if the SHTF. Not planning any polar expeditions unless the Earth comes off it's axis and TN ends up being the new north pole.
  18. Thats good to know. The -15 deg bags are way expensive. Do most bags roll up the same relative size? or should I pay attention to this?
  19. Help me choose a sleeping bag. The last sleeping bag I owned had cartoon characters on it.
  20. She's cherry... must...resist..urge...to...bid..... Edit: ultimate RV's for the "Deep Pocket" http://www.unicatamericas.com
  21. Read the book "Alas Babylon". It is a fictitious story about the east coast getting hit by Russians with several nuclear missiles; and the survival of the folks left behind. it is a wonderful book with tons of useful information. Plus it's a relatively short book so you can devour it in a day or two. I can assure you that gold/silver/gems/etc will NOT be used if the SHTF. especially if it is nuclear because Gold will be extremely radioactive if that happens. My short list - not in order (based on the aforementioned book) * Water * Food * Fuel * Alcohol (booze - seriously) * Weapons (guns, knives, ammo, bows, etc) * Salt, Sugar, Honey (remember honey never goes bad) the book has much more.
  22. Please remember that when you are designing an underground (confined space) facility that you need a MINIMUM of TWO modes of egress. Do not allow yourself to become trapped in your shelter. buried alive=fail
