What do you think about the Rossi revolvers ? I have never been much of a fan of "off brand" (cheap) firearms, but I ran across a used snub nose 88 .38 today that was too cheap to turn down. Maybe I can find time this weekend to try it out... Woody

  7. I guess I can hop on this thread now that I have added a XD 45 to my collection. I have not had a chance to shoot it yet, but plan to this weekend sometime...
  8. Normally a Glock 27. On occasion, a Glock 37,or 19. Now that I have added the XD 45 to my collection, I will carry it some once I get familiar with it. EDIT: after re-reading the post. looks like you mean everyday pocket stuff. In that case, nothing special for me....keys,billfold,pocket knife..blah,blah...
  9. Welcome aboard. I knew there were a lot of gun owners on tn off road....looks like my post is paying off...

You can call it nonsense if you want, but I don't agree with it... If someone actually believes they might shoot themselves, or have an AD, with *any* gun, then they need more TRAINING, and shouldn't be carrying *any* firearm until porperly trained. Woody

That's exactly what I was thinking.....

Why would you not recommend them for carry ? I find myself carrying one of my Glocks more than anything...
  13. Concealed for me as well. No need to let everyone know that you're carrying.
  14. I would like to check one out "hands on". I do need another gun anyway....
  15. Welcome aboard. Seems to be a lot of members from that area.

    New handgun purchase!

That's a nice piece. I just recently bought a Ruger Mark III Hunter. It's nice to be able to plink without spending a fortune.....
  17. I've never been there. Sounds like I need to check them out. I have heard a G36 calling my name for some time.... Woody
  18. I always just carry the mag in the gun. I would *hope* it would be enough.
  19. I would not carry any other way. If it's not loaded and ready with one "in the pipe", it might as well be a paper weight. IMO, if someone is not comfortable carrying this way, they need more training. Woody
  20. Welcome. Nothing wrong with a mini-14...
  21. I wish I would have seen this sooner.....
