Pompeii was awesome, but it was definitely NOT cool. Was there last July. Good luck with the heat. Yes, glass blowing is the key thing to see in Venice. What they do there is also 'mind blowing'.

Venice does smell. Florence is the nicest of the larger cities. You could spend 2-4 good days there. Be careful in Rome, lots of gypsies and thieves everywhere. (Isn't that a Cher song?) Same for Sicily and Naples. The countryside is very nice.
  4. Lesson learned. Never take the wife when you want to get a gun right there and then.
  5. UNCLE SAM'S WAY-TOO-NOSY SURVEY - New York Post "Recently nearly 3 million Americans were sent the American Community Survey. An annual supplement to the decennial Census, the 28-page survey pursues obnoxious nanny-state details such as whether your home has a flush toilet, what kind of fuel you use for heat and how much you spend on everything from electricity and flood insurance to your mortgage and property taxes." "Then come the really nosy questions, ranging from your college major and your health insurance to how you spend each day at the office. The survey even asks what time you leave for work, down to the hour and minute."

    Memorial Day

Day is done, gone the sun, From the hills, from the lake, From the sky. All is well, safely rest, God is nigh. Go to sleep, peaceful sleep, May the soldier or sailor, God keep. On the land or the deep, Safe in sleep. Love, good night, Must thou go, When the day, And the night Need thee so? All is well. Speedeth all To their rest. Fades the light; And afar Goeth day, And the stars Shineth bright, Fare thee well; Day has gone, Night is on. Thanks and praise, For our days, 'Neath the sun, Neath the stars, 'Neath the sky, As we go, This we know, God is nigh.

    Memorial Day

These photos don’t get shown much to the American people, but thanks to the internet more and more people are finding out about these sites in Europe. Monday, 25 May, is Memorial Day. Whatever you are doing; picnics, bar-b-ques, just enjoying your family and friends; please take a moment to be silent and just remember why we have this national holiday. If you have a military member or veteran in your family, that might be a great time to just say “thank you†for their service. Don’t forget the reservists and National Guard members too. In alphabetical order. Just Europe. 1. The American Cemetery at Aisne-Marne , France. A total of 2289 of our military dead. We Apologize? 2. The American Cemetery at Ardennes , Belgium. A total of 5329 of our dead. We are arrogant? 3. The American Cemetery at Brittany, France. A total of 4410 of our military dead. Excuse us? 4. Brookwood , England. American Cemetery. A total of 468 of our dead. 5. Cambridge , England. 3812 of our military dead. 6. Epinal , France. American Cemetery. A total of 5525 of our Military dead. 7. Flanders Field , Belgium. A total of 368 of our military. 8. Florence , Italy. A total of 4402 of our military dead. 9. Henri-Chapelle , Belgium. A total of 7992 of our military dead. 10. Lorraine , France. Remind those of our sacrifice and don't confuse arrogance with leadership.
  8. LOL. I was going to say the exact same thing. But you already did. Word!
  9. + Omega Man - HD (Charlton Heston)
  10. I only wear mine for the wife on 'special' nights. Along with my belt and holster. Nothing else. Finding a place to clip it does present a problem though.
  11. No, Com-cassed just sucks in general. I got rid of that trash. I get 23 FREE over-the-air channels on my attic antennae, most of them in HD.
  12. That's right, all they are doing is restoring gun rights. It's not as if they are bestowing any new ones on us, just restoring ones that have been usurped.
  13. A very interesting question. Can someone from the NRA legal team answer that?
  14. Yes, being sarcastic...about the need to print names of HCP holders in publication. As far as the "gang" thing, I never even saw that, so my commentary was not even on that, it's irrelevant to my comment. It was in regards to any HCP holder having done something 'illegal' (i.e. having a "hot" gun as was originally stated). According to the Commercial Appeal, these are just the sort of things that publishing our names in public is supposed to prevent. The irony is, how exactly does printing our names in public 'prevent' anything? It doesn't.
  15. BUT, I DON'T UNDERSTAND!!!! The system has failed. How did the Commercial Appeal NOT catch this????? Surely this guy's name was on the "list" if he was a legal HCP holder. I thought that was the whole point of the Commercial Appeal printing all of our names, so that stuff like this would NEVER happen? Am I wrong?? There must be a flaw somewhere. Oh, the humanity!
  16. Got my membership stuff in the mail about three weeks ago. Wife got hers too. Then they sent us new stuff about a week later because we both got 1 yr. free membership when purchasing some new Taurus pistols. So now we have two years NRA for free. (although I do intend to send in either a donation or extend for a few more years). Just got the first magazines in the mail yesterday too.
