  1. That is way too cool, man I just recently got back into shooting, and all my plinking spots are pretty much gone. What you describe is way better than just a plinking spot though of course fwiw: I had a Sig P220 several years ago. Was the most well made gun i have ever owned as far as attention to detail goes...imho. I was a little better shot with it than any of my other guns too.

    New GLOCK

Quality time with ear-plugs... Not THAT'S a plan right there j/k, burninbarns... I'm just jealous cuz i don't have a GF
  3. Ouch! That does suck, man. The way things are, they should know better than to charge a card before your order is ready to go :-\ According to ups tracking, my order is sitting at the local hub and should be here tomorrow Only went with 100 rounds though... Still haven't totally decided for sure which carry round for my G-26 to "invest" in yet. Pretty sure i will regret stalling next time they are in stock

    New GLOCK

    Duuuuuude....
  5. Guess i'll be carrying in this holster a good bit Especially since my instructor last night (HCP class) has one little gun that he carries iwb w/o any kind of holster. I don't see myself ever doing that though. Definitely not with my Glock I feel sure it will not fly at RangeUSA for the Street Handgun course i'm hoping to take :-\
  6. I'm with ya, man. I would think the founding fathers would want us to be as well armed as any potential force of tyranny.
  7. Daaaang... Guess that was the one on stage across from Wolf Chase mall. This was a little after 3pm Saturday that i was in there.... Pretty crazy :-\ I'm trying not to go overboard, and just keeping 500 rounds in addition to what i shoot. Maybe 1000+ would be a better idea though
  8. Nice! Hadn't thought about cannibalizing cell phone type holsters.
  9. Thanks, man Might be some better adhesive than J.B. Weld these days(?) It has really held up well, but might be worth researching alternatives... I did roughen up the holster and the clip pretty good if i remember correctly. And let the JB weld bead up around the edge of the clip.... Some of the newer Glock holsters i have seen online appear to have a pebbled texture that could help(?) If this one gives me any problems, i may try leaving some plasic on the sides, and finding some other hooks/clips to put on either side. But i really like the simplicity of the way it is now. Will post back if any other ideas come to mind. Please post back if you come up with some alternatives too edit: I would put little gashes in the holster rather than roughing it up with sandpaper or something... Might be possible to drill some little holes in the clip too(?)
  10. I put this together over 10yrs ago. It's a "Glock Sport/Combat Holster" with an Uncle Mike's Clip J.B. Welded on. No. Never wore it in public. Just while out plinking in the sticks. Anyway - Dug it up last week, and really liking it. It's pretty comfortable, adds minimal bulk, and should be cooler than a big leather one during the summer months... The clip is very secure. I was in the process of taking the clip off until i realized how well it was sticking. It draws really well with the right belt too. Do you guys see any issues with it? Legal or otherwise?
  11. I think we have to be careful not to fall into their trap of having to justify firearms as being useful for sporting purposes. Owning guns purely as weapons is every bit as legitimate.
  12. Wow! That's awesome, man My wait will begin Friday if all goes well. Hope it's as short as yours!
  13. If banning a list of guns would shut the gun-grabbers up and make them move on to some other short-sighted naive cause, i would be tempted to just say let em do it. Wrong as that would be, it may be worth it But you would have to be as naive as they are to think that would work.... Next it will be restrictions on ammo, mag capacity, "assault pistols", etc etc. They would not be happy until the last evil "single shot 410 assault shotgun" is banned. We can't give them another inch
  14. I don't think we want to know.... but i'm betting it involves the unnatural use of a pocket holster
  15. Yeah. I think it would be at least as wrong to publish a list like that. But I think KWW67 was just pointing out the absurdity of the writers position on the two issues.... That's how i took it anyway
  16. Shelf was fully stocked, and the cashier pulled my 4 boxes from additional stock elsewhere. Said they were afraid they had ordered too much... I assured them they hadn't Still 8.97/box.
  17. Yeah. The main trick is getting the handle spring thing back in correctly. Goes pretty quick after you have done it a couple of times.... I shot mine about a week ago and again today after letting it sit dirty for about 15yrs. Yeah- i suck Watched a couple YouTube vids to jar my memory. Definitely a bigger ordeal than field stripping a Glock, but that's not saying much
  18. Nice! I would love to get one like that one day. I have the MK II, but with standard barrel and fixed sights :-\ Still a lot of fun, and CHEAP to shoot of course.... Was my first pistol ever.
  19. The HST didn't last long. Wonder how much it will be next time it's in stock :-\
  20. This note on the home page isn't very reassuring...
  21. Several flavors of Federal HST and Gold Dots back in stock. Haven't been tracking other calibers. http://www.ammunitiontogo.com/catalog1/index.php/cName/9mm-hollow-point-ammo
  22. As a local talk show host here often says... No point in getting in a battle of wits with an unarmed man
  23. I think there is a little more than a .5" difference in the handle size of the 19 and the 26. Sure seems like it anyway. I had a 23 (same size as a 19) and can definitely conceal the 26 more easily than the 23. Guess it depends on how you carry, holster, etc though.
  24. CoolCool.. dunno what i'd do without my wally world ammo!!
