Yeah. Your tn cartridge reloads pic immediately came to mind when i saw this.

I have no doubt there are more pros than cons to carrying two guns. But seems to me if you are carrying concealed, two guns could: a) Limit your mobility Get you "made" more easily c) Increase the likelihood of having a gun taken away from you Of course you can limit your wardrobe, and/or be even more aware of the people around you, and train more often while wearing the extra hardware. Not trying to . Just some of my thoughts on the issue. I haven't totally ruled out carrying two guns yet.

Good stuff! He was on Beck's show today.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qIAlYslBdu8

Cool, man Some pretty compelling arguments on there i thought. I'm not ready to fork over that kinda dough for them just yet. Probably will at some point though if they are easy to put on and take off.
-
Dunno if it's enforced, but i saw somewhere that 4" was the legal limit on blade size. Maybe that's fixed blade(?) You may want to look into it though.

I had ordered the free dvd (see their site), and got/watched it today. They addressed that issue, but demonstrated putting your trigger finger just above the trigger guard to block the laser.... I'm not saying that's a better solution, but just fwiw

Ah. I think it was actually his son Bob(?) already working on the auto pistols back then anyway.... Always did a great job. Would imagine he is even better these days I was looking at it again today. The firing pin wants to stick. BUT it wants to stick in the retracted position rather than the hammer down position... if that makes any sense. Gotta have something to do with it though. Unfortunately i'm not going to be able to take it to be fixed right away Thanks guys!

Hope you find some grips you like and the FTF and FTE's subside soon Just watched a youtube vid on it, and dig the design. I have had two 1911's (combat elite and delta elite), but had never seen a DA 1911 like that... I've been out of the loop for a while though

Good luck with that When that happens i will re-evaluate the need for my NRA membership.
-
Of course it's not. The world is not a perfect place either. What reasonable/viable alternatives are there?

Here is part of the message i got after submitting my info.... I heard it was free elsewhere too. If they bill me, i'm cool with that
-
Sounds like some good points, and valid reasons for you not having much love for them. I'm honestly not up on all that as much as i should be.... But seems to me that the stronger the NRA is, the better off we are.

They don't ask for cc, ssn, anything like that. Just name, address, and phone. I got a confirmation screen that looks legit (no adds or request for additional info). Didn't get a confirmation email though.

Yeah! Seems to be It's on the official site anyway. I know they need the numbers, but can't help feeling kinda bad about not supporting them. Hopefully i'll be able to make a donation or something in the near future.... been meaning to join back up for several weeks now.

I just can't imagine having to conceal two guns during the summer time. If i planned to open carry, it may be a different story. I will continue to carry one of my spydercos.... Looking forward to relying more on my GlockFu skillz though ...still waiting on my hcp.

I bet that's him. He used to be in the Dowdle sporting goods on Park. Thanks!

Grendel P-10 .380 - Predecessor of the Kel-Tec P3AT
Ninja9 replied to Ninja9's topic in Show and Tell
Another update: It is denting primers when it slams shut on a round... Gotta look into getting that fixed now -
That's what i was afraid of. Ed Mason was who i always used (late 80's early 90's). If he's still around i will use him. Unless some of you Memphis guys have another suggestion. Thanks for all the quick responses
-
I just noticed my little Grendel .380 is putting a pretty good dent in the primers when you drop the slide. Is this something some designs do? If so, is there a danger of a slam fire if i drop the slide on a round multiple times

Grendel P-10 .380 - Predecessor of the Kel-Tec P3AT
Ninja9 replied to Ninja9's topic in Show and Tell
Thanks, man! It's starting to grow on me. Especially now that I can get an 11th round in there (see my edit). Might just have to put this one to use, myself... assuming it proves to be reliable. -
This is a gun i left with my mom many years ago (pre-web). I have recently been reading that a lot of people had problems with them, and decided to swap it out with her until i can test it more thoroughly. I had only put maybe 100 fmj's through it before giving it to her, but had no issues. I got it as part of a trade, and the grip looked like a dog had chewed on it or something Other than that and some holster wear it seems to be in good shape. - It's a Grendel P-10 (5 digit serial - supposedly that's a better run) - Holds 10 rounds of .380 (have heard it will hold 10+1, but i don't think so) - Has no magazine. You lock the slide back, and load directly into the grip. - Has a heavy DA only trigger - No safety. - Pain to re-assemble (just finished cleaning it) EDIT: 10+1 is possible. You have to press the 11th round partially into "magazine" while easing the slide closed. Not fun to do, but it works. The 2nd pic shows it's size compared to a Glock 26. If I had a mid-size Glock, I would consider carrying the Grendel on some occasions... I still might, and get my mom a .38 or something. That would probably be a better gun for her anyway. Thanks for looking

Ninja9 replied to Ninja9's topic in Ammunition and Reloading
That's pretty insane! Wouldn't take much of that happening for me to drop it either! Hopefully that's not the same supplier RUSA is using now.... Thanks a bunch for the input! -
Same here, man. I think the 3rd would be the absolute earliest to call. That would be 2 weeks... I'm going to try waiting until monday the 6th though. Welcome to TGO

You're messing up my master plan now, Slayer Is there anything in particular that makes you stay away from it? I'm guessing the stuff at RangeUSA is in an orange box. I haven't shot any of it yet, but had pretty much decided it will be "good enough" when i can't find the blazer or wwb. I'm planning to horde away 1,000 rounds, and then just shoot whatever i can locate that's cheapest.... Still gotta find some of the *good* stuff to put away too.
