  1. Duuuuuude... They don't play when it comes to prizes do they Congrats You guys are lucky to have a place like that in your area. Wish they would open a satellite shop in the Memphis area... like that's gonna happen
  2. Good point! Sorry if that comment seemed to be aimed at you I would like to make a story about the Obama administration replacing the Beretta M9 with Hi-Points or something to save money No time to do it right though.

    G-27

Yeah, man. The baby glocks are great aren't they I paid $516 with no range time or anything for my g-26, and was satisfied with the deal. The trade they gave me for my g-23 helped too though.... I'm really liking my 26 even more than i thought i would
  4. Thanks a BUNCH for all the suggestions guys. I will look into all of them. In the end i will primarily use only one of these methods. But i'm sure other options will be needed at times. Any additional suggestions appreciated
  5. Yeah. But if you do find one posted, give it some time to play out! They aren't any fun after someone mentions it's April 1.... ruins the whole thing
  6. Picked up the exact same round at the gun show they just had here for $19.99 (box of 50). They had plenty
  7. That sounds encouraging! I can deal with dirty ammo when the other cheap suff isn't available i guess..... Sounds like you had a fun weekend
  8. You ain't legit until you do the walmart walk after receiving your permit. Once you exit there will be a group of TGOers that will shave your eye brows and give you a giant wedgie..... don't painc and shoot anyone though.... it's all a part of the process.
  9. I will definitely check out that combo. Now i have a place to start at least. Thanks! Good to hear someone else is already doing this successfully too. Yeah. That was actually me who mentioned losing the ability to do a tactical reload. One legged under stress would be tough
  10. I'm at 506 just since 2.28.09 in my g-26. Not tracking my .22's since they are already really old.... I'm really holding back, best i can, due to ammo conservation and lack of funds.... it's an addiction though -----2.28.09 090 - Independence 115gr FMJ 004 - Hydra-Shok 135gr JHP ----3.14.09 025 - Remington 115gr JHP 075 - Blazer Brass 115gr FMJ ----3.18.09 175 - Winchester 115gr FMJ WWB 030 - Blazer Aluminum 115gr FMJ (given by instructor) ----3.26.09 100 - Winchester 115gr FMJ WWB 007 - Speer Gold Dot +P 124gr
  11. That's another really good idea I will probably look into that as another option when i have to have a tucked shirt. Most everyday i will be wearing an untucked tshirt. So, it won't really need it to be disguised. I'm really just trying to avoid having a big bulge on my belt, and making it comfortable to sit down without adjusting. May not be a big deal for a single-stack mag, but glock mags are closer to the size of a stick of butter If i go with something on the belt under a tshirt, it will probably be one of the $10 "glock sport/combat" magazine holsters.
  12. As in: "Aaaaah, Ricky Bobby! Now we shall dance. And yes, it will be a slow jam" Sorry
  13. Heh... I was looking long and hard at their airsoft laser sight the other day Trying to figure out how i might cannibalize it, and get it to work on my 870 or something Couldn't really tell how easily it would come apart and remain usable though.
  14. Carrying at 1:00 iwb is working great for me so far ((limited to around the house until hcp comes, but have also tried getting in and out of the car with no probs)). OWB with a shirt as you described is the only other method i think may work well for me. Have you had any trouble with the shirt blowing up over the gun? Any obstacles i should be aware of before trying this method? I know it will be hot in the coming months, but i'm thinking having a holster shoved down my pants will be hot too ..... Thanks for any tips
  15. 615-251-8590 Wecome and good luck
  16. Astra900-- If i can't get this working, that's what i will do most of the time. It works pretty well worn horizontally, but makes it look like a gun under my shirt if i'm not careful. Vertically it has to be adjusted everytime i sit down... Those glock mags are pretty thick I have been playing with some shapelock. This pic shows a rough test for a pocket mag holster i made real quick that works pretty well in cargo pants. Gotta melt it and remold it to look a little nicer though. nightrunner-- Might have to wear a cast or fake a limp to pull that off
  17. I haven't really looked into it much yet. There is this one, but i'm not too crazy about it. Looks like it may be hot for summer carry(?) I would like for the magazine to go in upside down with a snap closure. that way you wouldn't have to pull your pant leg so far up. I'm thinking about taking a cheap ankle holster, and modifying it. Just taking off the holster part and mounting my magazine holster with a snap closure. Might just go with a g-17 mag if i go this route. I think it would be a workable alternative to a belt mag holster. But I have never had an ankle holster of any kind before. Hopefully someone will let me know if this idea is just too goofy
  18. Having problems finding a good/comfortable way to conceal a g-19 mag for my 26. I'm thinking of trying an ankle holster unless someone talks me out of it. I know i will have to draw it with only my weak hand.... Maybe i should just keep an extra mag in the car Hard to imagine needing more than 11 rounds, but would be good peace of mind. Especially since i will not have a bug. Not anytime soon anyway. edit: Also probably wouldn't be able to pull off a tactical reload before the first mag went dry.
  19. I was wondering how many rounds i had put through my g23 when i traded it for my 26, and had wondered about it before then too. Also wondering what all kinds of ammo i was shooting, and just how much i was paying for it back then.... I stopped shooting sometime in the early 90's, and just started back when i got my 26 about a month ago. It takes maybe a minute log all the stuff i'm tracking. If my computer weren't in my office/den (and always on), it might be more of a pain than it's worth.... In that case, i would have to look into an odometer like v3bahumut's
  20. I started using google docs for this when i bought my new g26 last month... http://docs.google.com I track ammo purchased/stored/shot. Including details like where, dates, and cost. Plus any other gun related purchases. Doesn't take long at all to do.... Not bothering with tracking my older guns though.
  21. Sounds like some jerks with nothing better to do I have had my share of self-serving cops back in my skateboarding days. But i think the majority are still good guys. So they said you had an "uncovered gun"? But you had your tshirt over it?
  22. Congrats!! Hope you find a holster suitable for your wally walk Mine will probably get delayed like JHatmaker's buddy's did
  23. Yep. I always have a round in the chamber. It's a snap cap, but that's just how i roll...
  24. I would! If you do call, please let us know what they tell you.... I'm calling once i reach the 2 week mark. I'll just be at the 1 week mark tomorrow
