  1.   While I don't recall the 100 packs of .223 coming in "break packs" at my local Walmart's, I know it's common for most everything else that's in demand.  The 7.62x39 used to come in as full cases and the Remington .223 as well, but over the past couple of months full cases seem to be the exception.  One of the SG guys said that it had to do with the distribution centers trying to treat each store somewhat evenly, as opposed to one store getting lots of ammo and other stores getting none.
  2. The 200 round lots are back in stock - 189 available at 10:36 EST.
  3. You can still buy them by the crate - $120 each.   http://www.classicfirearms.com/mosin-nagant-rfile-by-the-crate
  4. FWIW, this popped back in to stock for a while last night too.  Prices for 1000 and 200 round lots don't seem to have changed.  The shipping pushing the 200 round lots past what I'm willing to pay, and I really can't justify the $300 for 1000 rounds to my wife!
  5.   I have too.  I'm pretty sure that there are some types of ammo that aren't available in the online system at all. I still like using the online inventory to help give me a better chance of getting specifically what I'm looking for.  It's certainly not 100%, but I've done pretty well over all by using it for the last two months.
  6. IIRC, I went with the Parkland board and MUD paint discussed here...   http://www.avsforum.com/t/646534/diy-screen-faq-reference
  7. I didn't go by to verify, but the Walmart online inventory showed Federal 5.56 ammo cans come in to stock last night here in JC, then go out again this morning.  I might have been able to get them, but have pretty much blown through my budget already.  I'm guessing that the first person who saw them, bought them.  It's still good to see these come in as a reminder that the pipeline is flowing.
  8. Good price and in stock!  The shipping is a little high, but all-in-all the best deal I've seen on AK mags in a while.
  9.   Hmmm... I might have to start making regular visits over there to see.  I don't know that I've ever been to a Walmart that had two AR's at the same time!
  10.   It sounds like you may have taken my comment wrong.  I wasn't trying to imply that Walmart was gouging, just noting that prices might be edging up a bit.  I know they've had to raise some of the ammo prices because things are costing them more, so they might be paying more for some of the AR's they get as well.
  11. Nice to see it there, but it does look like the price has gone up some from pre-December.  I'm pretty sure they were $50-$100 less then.  That's not to say I would have walked away from it though!  I'm still dreaming of walking in as they are carrying out the Sig Enhanced at about $900.   Oh, FWIW, I was told at the Walmart in Johnson City that they got a Bushmaster in last week and two weeks ago too.  Evidently they went out the door within minutes of being checked in.
  12. That's pretty much how I felt about it. Had I wanted/needed 1000 rounds, then I likely would have got a case. I only wanted a little and the per round price was above my current threshold.
  13. 200 round lots are still available.   http://www.sgammo.com/product/golden-tiger/200-round-lot-762x39-fmj-bt-golden-tiger-124-grain-ammo-limit-1-lot-customer-da

  15. Wow, that's the rifle I've been trying to find.  It would be very cool to win one!
  16. FWIW, in checking out the Walmart's, I was really hoping to find one of these:   http://www.sportsmansoutdoorsuperstore.com/products2.cfm/ID/114492/c/firearms   At least on paper, it seems to be a nice as the Colt, but they sell it for about $200 less.  If both had been available, would the Sig have been a good purchase?
  17.   I knew that would be the case, so I took it home with me.  When I asked about it, I was just wanting to make sure I hadn't made a poor choice.  It sure seemed like the best deal, but I'm not really knowledgeable about AR's.
  18.   Exactly where I found it!  :-)
  19. How about a Colt LE6920?  Would that be better, worse, or about the same as one of these?  Price under $1100.   Thanks!
  20. Hmmm... just noticed they have a CMMG available as well.   http://www.gilbertsguns.com/Rifles/CMMG/CMMG+AR-15+M4+5+56+16+Rifle+55A8433   Anyone know how the two would compare?  Essentially the same except the sights?
  21. Smith & Wesson M&P15 Optics Ready 5.56 16" Rifle (811003)   $1199.95   http://www.gilbertsguns.com/Rifles/Smith+Wesson/Smith+Wesson+M+P15+Optics+Ready+5+56+16+Rifle+811003
  22.     Mine shows an expiration date of four years from the date the previous one would have expired.  So, no, you don't appear to lose time by renewing early.
  23. My renewal - form submitted at DMV - finally arrived.  It was about a month wait for me.
  24. I've been following them on FB for a couple of weeks.  It really makes me wish that they were about 6 hours closer.  I could end my AR search pretty quickly by spending a night camping in their parking lot.

I've seen a couple at my local Walmart locations in the last month.  I guess they're just like everything else - selling as fast as they are arriving.
