  1. My wife and I kept our first home when we moved from Clarksville to Franklin and have been renting it out since then. What a pain in the a$$! The first tenant paid the first months rent and a reduced deposit. (She had an excellent referral) Turns out the renter was a crack head and prostitute. She never paid a dime after that. Had to serve papers after the second month. The court gets 1 month to serve the papers, one month to set a court date after that and on the court date and even if they don't show up the judge won't grant access to your own house for another 30 days! In all she lived in our house for almost 5 months after the initial deposit and first months rent. At court we tried to reason with the judge about the signed lease and he said we could hire a lawyer if we wanted him to look at the lease. She had violated several terms of the lease including allowing other people to live in the house, non payment of rent, damage to property, etc. When we finally could legally enter the house it was a disaster. I didn't want to spend more to go after money I would never get so I didn't take her to court. Hasn't been too much better since then. I've put a lot of blood sweat and tears into that house and it breaks my heart to see the way it's treated by our tenants. -southernasylum
  2. FOXNews.com - Murder Charges for Drunken Driving on Rise in U.S. And people like Rayburn think we are a threat. I don't blame the cars for this but the individuals. Both those who drink and drive and those who over serve. -southernasylum
  3. According to the media it's clearly a glock. (sorry, I couldn't resist)
  4. I'm not too worried about being made by gun guys. It's the average citizen I don't want to scare. Jack you're right about the belt. It was a decent one years ago but has seen better days.
  5. p.s. Sorry for the giant pics, and the stretch marks!. I'll shrink em next time.
  6. So I decided to carry my Beretta 92F this summer. I usually carry an old Taurus Milenium. I've gotta say I'm surprised at how easily I am able to conceal such a beast of a gun with my regular summer attire. I've carried it in the winter quite a bit but didn't think I could go unnoticed with the Beretta on. I'm using a home made IWB leather contraption I made. (Pics for those interested) It won't win any beauty contests but It's really comfortable and after carrying for all these years I don't hardly notice the weight increase. I'm 6' 210lbs(and shrinking). I usually wear loose T-shirts and shorts. I'm thinking I may retire the Taurus. Does anyone else carry such a monster sized gun? -southernaslylum
  7. Who would notice if it's not printed across their shirts? I don't know if that will hold up in court though.
  8. I agree wholeheartedly. Unfortunately we're not there yet. Maybe one day the 2nd will get the same treatment as the 1st. More likely they'll start issuing permits for the 1'st. Doh!
  9. Sounds like they don't mind concealed carry by non a$$holes. They don't want any trouble. If you don't start none, there won't be none. They should have just posted that on their site. -southernaslylum
  10. This was at the bottom of my response: contactus@regions.com You might also try askus@regions.com
  11. To those of you who have spoken to bank managers, I encourage you to also contact Regions via email. Your verbal complaint may or may not be forwarded up the chain of command. If you email them there will be record of another unsatisfied customer because of their new anti-gun policy. -southernaslylum
  12. Wow. A lot of several of those videos where actually real footage. I get accused of driving too close to the speed limit all the time. I don't mind.
  13. I love my Mossberg 500 Persuader with its 18.5 inch barrel and original stock. I had intended to trick it out one day but never did. 11 years later and I still love it as is. When I bought it they were only $180 at Wally World. It's been my Home Defense/Boy Intimidation gun since I found out I was having a daughter. I wouldn't mind an AR style telescoping stock but I think anything with a pistol grip on a 500 would make the safety very awkward. I wouldn't mind some kind of flashlight fore grip but like I said I love it as is. -southernasylum
  14. I had a Intratec Cat 9. It was my very first handgun. It had about a 20lb trigger pull. My wrist would not allow me to shoot more that 10 or 12 rounds in one session. It was very inaccurate as well but I don't remember it ever fail to fire. I was happy to trade it plus cash for an old Taurus PT22. I still feel bad for the guy that went home with that gun. -southernasylum
  15. That stupid kid is lucky to be alive. I have no pity for someone who puts others in danger like that. Hope he learns his lesson. -southernasylum

  17. I heard this one first back when Clinton got elected. Still funny.
  18. This thread has made me lol several time already!
  19. I think that's a fine letter Glock23ForMe . I hope they receive this type of message from more customers than they ever expected.
  20. Ok so here's the response I got along with my original message. About what I expected. Maybe if they do get enough complaints they will reconsider. I won't be holding my breath. Thank you for your email. We regret that you are dissatisfied with Regions’ decision to add this new policy at our branch locations. We have forwarded your feedback as an official complaint and have documented your concerns. We are tracking opinions, responses and suggestions, and will plan future updates based on these findings. Again, we apologize for the inconvenience this issue has caused. If you have any other questions, please feel free to email us, call us at 1-800-REGIONS (1-800-734-4667), Monday – Friday, 6 AM – 7 PM (CT) and Saturdays 6 AM – 2 PM (CT), or visit any local branch. Thank you for contacting Regions Bank. T. Burghardt I want to express my disappointment with the no guns allowed signs that have recently been added to the area branches. They won't stop criminals from carrying but will only prevent me and other responsible citizens from doing business inside. I've been a customer for many years and have a handgun carry permit. I've carried concealed in Regions bank for years without incident. No one knew. I will now have to do my banking at the drive through window. There are business who make large cash deposits daily and I am sure some carry firearms as a safety measure. Your policy is only hindering those who abide by the law. Sincerely, xxxxxxxxxx
  21. I was hoping that this was just a few branches as the one on 96 if Franklin had not posted until very recently. I've been in there hundreds of times cc'ing and no one was the wiser. Now I'll have to use the drive thru. I guess now that they have these signs up they can take down the height ruler sticker next to the exit doors as they will no longer have any more armed robbery attempts. They should have put up the no gun stickers sooner.
  22. Is the Deathstar just too small? What would a dark Sith Lord carry as a backup?
