  1. Lots of places post those signs knowing that they carry no weight with the law to make the sheeple feel better & don’t give a rats a$$ if you carry there or not as long as you do so concealed.<O:p</O:p
  2. Those are great, I would also like to recommend the pistol as a weapon of defense in the house & on the road - 1875, & Principals of personal defense by Jeff Cooper. Not on the same level historically but good resources.
  3. The Razor Edge Book of Sharpening is a great resource; I never use oil, only water or dry. Once the edge has the right shape it will only require a quick touch up, I use a fine ceramic or a dremel tool with a buffing wheel & metal polish for this. I keep my defensive knife razor sharp & carry a superknife for daily cutting chores - but I touch up the blade in it every few days, I mostly cut open boxes at work. If you cut open boxes & the glue from the tape accumulates on the blade I have found that Goo gone cleans a blade well as you cant use or sharpen a blade with glue on it very well.
  4. After my Hcp class I thought that if I had a malfunction I would just throw the gun at the bad guy & run, after a class or twelve, that would not be my strategy now. there was so much that I didn't know that I didn't know, if you know what I mean. but one thing is certain its all about the basics.
  5. "It's certainly a country that should allow every kind of flag, even the Klan (WOW!)" & just what would you / he consider the Klan Flag because the battle flag of the state of Tennessee isn't it. as far as the apt complex goes I would consider a car wrap like hero gears truck
  6. Almost never - but had to wear a tie & dress up for work the other day, no jacket, on the way home had some errands to do so open carried as an experiment either no one noticed, or seemed to care at the cell phone store, or any of the other places that I went. Typically I would prefer the bad guy not to know that I was packing til he was perforated!
  7. My dad bought my first gun before I was born!
  8. try this Armed Females of America: Pro-Gun Women on Full Auto
  9. try Barrel Twist Calculator
  10. I know that i am supposed to have a copy of the paperwork with me anywhere i take the item (supressor) but what is the definition of a copy - will a digital copy do - will a 30% size of the original do? any one know, or know where to link the exact redtape from atf?
  11. Welcome I too am from the thriving metropolis of G-vegas
  12. The farther apart the more accurate they will be. If they are standard AR sights & you run an eotech they will co-witness whether you want them to or not (assuming its a flat top), unless you use a riser block or something. I use my eotech from 3yrds to 200 with no problems the cross mark at the bottom of the circle is perfect for close range the dot for 25yrds & beyond they sell add on magnifiers for eotechs that flip out of the way for close up work I do own one but don't have the flip to the side mount yet. I much prefer an eotech to the aimpoint as the dot is too large for my taste in the aimpoints.
  13. Sportsman's giude is bragging that $1 a round is a good deal for some stuff they have:eek: Federal Lake City Mil.-Spec. G.I. .223 (5.56x45 Mm) 62 Gr. Fmj 20 Rds., Rifle Ammunition, Federal at Sportsman's Guide
  14. Some people would say that you still haven't bought a gun - you will be ribbed for owning a high point - welcome back I was going to say there is a shoot coming up but your on the other end of the state from me.
  15. I would make sure the sights weren't off before chasing a problem that may not exist That is a damn fine group especially for 100 rounds, groups are typically shot 3 rds at a time, I think you need to shoot less rounds per group if your trying to diagnose something then paste the target
  16. Been on the net long KW? BTW if you show up for a local get together you can meet several of these people
