Nice Pistol and the PEZ dispenser is cool too.
  2. Sweet!
  3. If you don't mind the drive to Winchester Hero Gear is a good spot, Dan and Joe seem to know their stuff...
  4. It's a beauty!
  5. http://orsa.nxs.net/ The Oak ridge Sportsmans Association has scheduled each weekend (Usually Saturday and sometimes on Sunday) on their pistol range USPSA, IDPA or Cowboy Action matches. http://www.midtnshooters.com/ Middle Tennesse Shooter in Manchester has USPSA or IDPA pratice or matches each Sunday also.
  6. Welcome!
  7. Thanks Joe, So I should exclude the flash suppressor...
  8. Civil Disobedenance requires that when caught you take the punishment perscribed without complaint or apology. If the "cost" is to high then obey the law. I prefer to keep my permit and not pay a fine so I will lock my carry piece in the car or leave it at home when nessesary. There are cases where you could be carring concealed and not have the chance to store safely. But then again if caught even when not intending to break the law the punishment still must be taken "as a man".
  9. Thats interesting since the tape measure said 18 1/2"... I just figured that an inch and a half were in the upper What model is it Joe? Or are you thinking of the SOCCOM 16 that you sold me. Now it is a 16" barrel.
  10. Petition signed! Hey StudentsRightsAdvocate, it nice to someone advertise that they are a Libertarian.
  11. In Chattanooga is it still the law that all businesses except restaraunts are closed till noon on Sunday? I know several places I have tried to go to were closed at 11:00 AM, even places that are normally open 24hrs like Walmart.
  12. I have a 20" DPMS. The 223 is alot easier on the shoulder than the 308 and 8mm stuff I have been shooting.
  13. Welcome aboard.
  14. Welcome
  15. I like the 1911's and CZ's for their shot placement. The glock sights just don't seem to "fall" into place the way I wan them to. 45, 9mm are ok with me they will both do the job. But then I prefer the 308 to 223 because 223 is all about shot placement and it has to be near perfect like with a 22 but the 308, 30-06 makes an impression even on a glancing hit. BTW Hero Gear, you are all about small and fast in rifles why the switch in pistols? Just to stir up the conversation.... ;-)
  16. Depending on the date I may be able to be there...
  17. Welcome from Cowan.
  18. Welcome aboard.
  19. Glad your OK donnie I thought Florida had open carry? I know Florida was the first state with the Castle Doctrine and it has a lower threshold to pass before a civilian has the right to use deadly force. I don't remember the exact wording but it puts your right to defend yourself ahead of someone else's right to "get-into" your personal space.
  20. The whole purpose of the right to keep and bear arms is to defend said private property (and defend the family, friends, nice aquintances, etc...) that the Government only has the right to seize if it is for the public good like a road or government office building. Of course our current politicians think that building a new megasuperstore meets that whole public good clause, which is NOT what was intended.
  21. Private property is private property and the onwer can deside who they want to be armed or unarmed on their property. But government buidlings, land, etc... are public (government "owned") and anything public should fall under the governance of the Constitution. Unfortunately we have a lot politicians that say if a business serves the "public" then it is public property which is a twist on the english language rather than being factual.
  22. That would be really fun.
