    Pawn shop guns

I just left a gun store where a policeman was picking up a stolen gun. They are checked both places before they are sold. A pawn shop that carries firearms has a Federal Firearms License, and is held to the same rules and regs as a gun store owner.
  2. Now you're making me look forward to Christmas.
  3. Top to bottom: 1917 Smith and Wesson 45 ACP Colt Python 357 Mag Smith and Wesson model 10 38 Spl. How'd I do?
  4. The old ones are far superior to what Smith and Wesson is turning out these days.
  5. This has been the case since Fisher has been coach. It was pretty much the same thing, yet to a lesser degree, with Steve McNair.
  6. Cobra....a lightweight Detective Special.
  7. It's a "bubba'd" 455 British, rechambered to 45 LC and shortened to 4". I got it cheap, and it shoots great. You know your Smiths, Garufa!
  8. Looks good to me....how's it shoot?
  9. Sorry dedgar, Garufa and Sidinman are correct. Somehow a Colt snuck into an S&W family reunion.

    Pawn shop guns

I see this topic come up pretty often, and each time I have to wonder what the perceived differences in guns shops and pawn shops are. In reality, they are basically the same thing. My experience with pawn shops pretty much mirrors my experience with gun stores; looking at thousands of overpriced, abused pieces and occasionally finding a jewel.
  11. On someone else. They're not comfortable for me.
  12. Get the gal a revolver.

    Revolvers

One of the is not like the other ones.... ...one of these does not belong.
  14. Nice buck, WD!!!!! That thing looks as big as a horse.
  15. Perhaps you were in the edge of Macon county instead of Jackson when the doe was shot. (wink, wink)
  16. The Reolader's Bench in Mt. Juliet has it. It smells pretty good, but I don't see that it's any better than anything else.
  17. That's a very large deer. What did he weigh?
  18. I once killed a pretty nice 8 point buck, the day after Thanksgiving, which was still in full velvet. The best I could tell, he didn't have any testicles, therefore I assume he lacked the testosterone that gives them the urge to rub the velvet off. I had a shoulder mount made of that deer just because it was rather odd.
  19. If you are allowed to shoot does in Jackson county like you can in Sumner county, you will need a type 94 permit in addition to your big game gun tag.
  20. Amen! I can't prove it, but I've heard that the lowly 22 LR is responsible for taking more human lives than any other caliber.
  21. ...and Albert Haynesworth could be their manager.
  22. I sure didn't hear a lot of shooting like usual on opening weekend.
  23. Right, but he's just downright pathetic.
  24. Has any of you shot deer, or other big game, with cast bullets. How do they stack up against jacketed hollow points for hunting?
  25. Isn't it about time to grow up and be a big boy?
