  1. I have an H&R combo that has a 20 guage barrel as well as a 30-30 barrel. It will routinely shoot moa groups and has accounted for many deer. I also have a very old Savage in 22 hornet. It shhot pretty good as well. I like the single shots.
  2. You do know that a case of beer would have made a much more suitable vice don't you?
  3. You could try annealing the brass before you attempt to load any more.
  4. Sweet! The 45 ACP headspaces on the case mouth instead of the rim like the 45 Colt. You poke the shells out with the ejector rod anyway, so you really don't need a rim for anything on your Ruger. I'd probably shoot 45ACPs more often than 45Colts because ammo is less expensive and more readily available. I really like your new gun.
  5. In addition to the kit you listed, you will immediatly need a manual, brass, primers, powder, bullets, and CARBIDE dies. Next, you'll add calipers, a tumbler, a hand priming kit, and other assorted goodies. It never ends, really. I disagree with the progressive folks. If you aren't making giant quantities of ammo, a single stage is great. I've been using the Lee Anniversary Kit for 15 years with no complaints. I am able to upgrade now, but see no need to.
  6. LOL! I haven't seen the tactical map before!
  7. I went in G&L for the first time a couple of weeks ago. Wow! I couldn't even see what they had for sale for the crowd! Those guys have quite a business going.
  8. I would not have liked that!
  9. Thanks for the offer. That is very kind.
  10. Color makes it look smaller? Never been in a gym lockerroom shower, huh?

Oh Man! I can't imagine the level of stress and aggravation that would cause. I sure wish you luck getting it resolved.
  12. How does it shoot? I'm thinking hard about one. If I get it, I might be able to help you out in the holster department.

You care to share with us how this happened? I'd like to know what t avoid. Thanks.
  14. OH MY! I'm not sure what all I just bought! I'm goin back!
  15. :stare:You're not making holsters are you?
  16. Just be nice. If you lose your cool, and it's very easy to do dealing with folks like you are about to meet, they sort of hold your fate in their hands. My experience is that if your neighbors won't object, there's usually no problem.A guy down the road from me was raising miniature chihuahas; a LOT of them. His neighbors OBJECTED! He's gone.
  17. :up:Sound like fun!
  18. I've gotta check out the Armory.
  19. I had a different experience. The guy in Lebanon was very cordial to me. I wasn't even acknowledged in Gallatin. I have more guns and ammo in my truck a lot of times than they stock. I just posted this thread to let folks know there is actually a store with primers in stock. I may be out of the loop, but I haven't seen many for quite a while.
  20. I stopped in a new gun shop in Lebanon one day last week. It is located on Hartman Drive, right behind Burger King. They had the lowest primer prices I've seen in quite some time, and a pretty good selection of them.
  21. Is that a keyboard on the 380? What's with all the buttons? Perhaps it's equipped with an I-pod.
  22. I've been wondering about those. Thanks for the report.
  23. It's on the way! The lady at the post office liked it. She seemed really surprised to find out I made it.
