  1. You could always stop by the doctor's house So I've had nothing but issues with my current doctor I feel your pain It's like they are overwhelmed which I'm sure they are to an extent some of that is their own fault Due to snow days I had to take my son to a doctor's appointment I've got some irritation in my left eye anyhow I show up after I tell them what the issue is I wait 40 minutes pay my copay Dr walks in spends about 10 seconds looking at my eye and says you know this is really just not my specialty you need to see an ophthalmologist if you're having trouble with your eyes I said what do you mean it's not your specialty so you just get me in here to take my f****** copay and send my insurance company a bill for $350 I said what kind of b******* is this mind you I've had just about enough of the current state of things when it comes to the medical profession insurance etc I just had a physical in the beginning of December and one of those mail order poop examination deals for colon cancer or the early signs We've already discussed a positive result now I got to have the camera up the poop shoot anyhow she says oh and it looks like your colon test was negative I looked at her and said you just called me last week and said it was positive we've already scheduled an exam oh that's right I'm sorry look here I said you don't have a f****** clue do you then she proceeds to tell me s*** I already know in front of my 10-year-old who generally doesn't come with me and we have already discussed what all of this means so now my kid is like Dad you might have colon cancer I didn't Tell him because there are a lot of false positives if and when I would obviously Sorry for the rant but I feel your pain I think it's going to be cheaper to kidnap a surgeon and a general practitioner and keep them on hand for when we need them than to go through this b******* lol
  2. Does this one have an optics cut
  3. They have had some fairly competitive prices on common ammunition I normally just walk right in the front door It like has been stated it is a small walk-in with a huge warehouse
  4. I don't know what the pricing would be on stuff like that but if you tried mid-South shooters in Clarksville
  5. I took the old t bolt to the range yesterday it's got some old redfield 4x scope on it pretty accurate for what it is and the fact that our range isn't very long it's indoors So my son is a lefty and subsequently our t bolt is a lefty kind of like when I looked for a guitar for him one properly made for a lefty wasn't too easy to come by I guess it's one of those things where they're not worth anything to most people unless you need one But what I found is I can shoulder the rifle obviously holding the stock with my right hand and cycle it with my left hand never having to remove my hand from the trigger area I'll be honest with you I kind of like it
  6. Those are probably going to be a little more firearm than we need
  7. Well I call on all the Biden supporters and the supporters of open borders to remove the locks from their homes leave the keys in their cars with the doors unlocked to freely hand out the passwords to their electronic devices to open their homes up with signs stating here I am I'll help you I don't know of any government office that doesn't have armed security isn't it interesting The country as a whole is unguarded but these clowns in office remain guarded very interesting What's more so interesting is that people are in support of folks that talk the talk but stumble on the walk When I was watching the election in 2020 my parents were very saddened by the results I said to them unfortunately if the masses want ignorance in charge that is what we are going to get regardless and here we are Unrest all over the globe and especially here at home Breadcrumbs and circuses my friends
  8. That's kind of a bummer The good thing about 22s is I'm generally using them to get my 10-year-old going eventually move him up and thankfully on a good day it's about $0.05 a round to shoot them
  9. I've been looking into the CZ rimfire rifles Good chance there will be one soon
  10. I am currently just collecting the 22lr variety I've got a vintage browning t bolt, vintage browning BL22 ,another oldie a 1968ish Marlin 99 and a current 10/22 Like them all but to me the t bolt is the most enjoyable
  11. No doubt it's amazing how much some of this stuff used to go for even recently
  12. I've got a chance at one seems to be in nice shape what little information I could find has to do with tool marks on the inside mainly which doesn't really bother me but supposedly the frame and slide are made out of some good stuff and I've read theyre reliable Anybody here have one?
  13. Look at what we had just a few short years ago people allowed to pillage and burn things We had idiots blocking major roadways through huge cities I think the covid lock down and the reaction to it should have been an eye opener for some people Kind of like 9/11 should have been an eye opener Regardless of where you stand on what took place and who's responsible We had always been told nothing like that would happen on our soil Regardless I can tell you the industry that I'm in shut down for a while but pick back up with no problems in quality or supply Fast forward to 2008 when the came down You could always get the parts you needed in my industry which is transmissions no issues before 2008 2009 It's never been the same since then and only gotten worse since the COVID fiasco So I mention this mainly because I prepare I buy things ahead of time that I didn't used to I have stocked up on some cores because even common parts are hard to get So that's what it took for me to open my eyes I've always planned ahead but I'm more proactive and getting a bit more everyday
  14. These threads can appear to get out there no doubt Should we be prepared? Of course we should always be prepared I was checking out at the store the other day Guy in front of me couldn't get his damn card to work seemed like 5-10 minutes finally they get that s*** working I get up to register and I tell the young lady behind it and that's why you carry cash She responds I never carry cash So quick and easy story is this I said let's say You've got $10,000 in the bank and you're comfortable with that and the fact that you think you can always access it with your card to get whatever you need anytime day or night Let's just say you go to bed one night and the internal revenue service decides you futzed up your tax return and you now owe them $9995 and accordingly they remove that from your account because they have that ability they have that ability today Of course it's a mistake not trying to explain that s*** to them firing off letters phone calls it'd be months before you saw your money but in the meantime you didn't have any cash anywhere you put your faith in the system as you were taught in school to do I said so now what? Do yourself a favor keep some cash nearby always doesn't have to be $10,000 but you do have to keep some cash for just such an occasion She said you know my parents never taught me that I said to her I'm not surprised regardless always plan ahead Make it a part of the way you operate Canned goods yeah get you a bunch why not they got a fairly long shelf life and you just keep them rotated Water I always keep some water maybe not as much as I should but I do you never know You're always getting letters in the mail blah blah blah your water failed a test etc People don't prepare for anything so if you mention preparing they get scared they think you're nuts I think it's more nuts the fact we've gotten away from self-reliance
  15. I'm with you on that It looks grim let's hope it just looks grim
  16. I'm 53 so I graduated in '88 and I can remember having to do a book report on George Orwell's 1984 in about 1984 For the longest time I wondered why I was important for us to use that book obviously that's fiction as well but boy it's your interesting how they want everything to go to electronics and away from books every time you open a book it says the exact same thing not so with finding things on the internet I'm going to say like Rome we are in the decline and probably have been for a while I'm definitely more prepared than quite a few people for an immediate short-term issue ice storm etc I could go a week pretty easy I've got a generator etc but I'm no good for a month or longer in fact I'm not even close to good for something like that and I should be
