  1. Not inferring anything on the comment. Just suprised. Maybe my trigger finger is just "uneducated" in the ways of feeling and describing the various triggers of firearms. I've just not had anything really stand out with me on the PPQ series.

Have had  4, including the 45 model. It was the only one I didn't really like. Probably just me, but I felt, no pun intended, the recoil impluse on the 45 PPQ to be more than I liked. The trigger, as I remember it, didn't stand out as any different to me. But that's beenat least 4 years since I shot it. In fact, sold it to someone here.

In any event, shoot it more, and if not satisfied with it...contact Walther. Unless you work on the trigger yourself. I'm not qualified, in any sense of the word, to do that myself. LOL. More of a buy, shoot, and clean sort of guy. I've really failed myself by not getting more involved with diagnostic and repairs of my firearms, and I regret it. But a little late now. Hands are getting a bit arthritic and my eyes ain't what they used to be!

So any issues I have, I yell for qualified help. And there's no shortage of that here.

Good luck getting this settled out.

  2. Had one of these years ago. Liked it. shot well and pretty accurate. At least as I was able. Sold it to a fellow TGO guy long ago. But I remember these as good little pistols. Great price on this too.

  3. As the owner of a few Walthers...PPQ and PDP models...I say this. Wait and shoot them a while. I'm actually surprised to see a negative comment on the stock triggers. Especially on the PPQ models. Personally I find the triggers to be outstand on them. Right up there with the Canik and HK.

If after more range time and at least 300-400 rounds, you still feel this way...Call Walther first.

  4. There was a thread on squirrel problems a year or so ago. It was full of horrible atrocities on the hapless little vritters! LOL!

My fat pets chewed thru the fuel lines and sening units on the POS Ford I had then. Got rid of the truck after that incident. Cost me almost 800 with the tow.

I know this is small change compared to some isses the tree rats cause, just my tale.

  5. OK...all this talk has me seriously thinking of add the Compact to my stable. I bought the full-size and have loved it. Been shooting CCI pretty much all the time with it and as you say, it's been very dependable, but for a couple of deformed nose that didn't feed. Love the little plinker.

Sounds like the Compact might be good for my wife. She thinks the full size is too big! LOL! I've been taking her away from revolvers of the last couple of years, as I don't want her to do anything but pick it up and pull the trigger. I started her out with the S&W 317 and though I liked it...she didn't. Found a 351PD and I loved it. She didn't. Both have stayed where I stash them for her. so she has the choice.

Although I really like the 351PD, it has the same issue that my K22 has. Shoot 8/10 rounds and it so dirty and gummy that the cyclinder won't turn. Both have been to S&W over the years for inspection, but not much happed or was improved by them. The comment I recieved was simply that these guns were so tight they had to be abnormally clean to function for more than a few rounds. Not really happy about it, but they are both so darn fun to shoot that I've put up with it. Which means they don't get shot frequently.

  6. No words, Bill. Just so happy for you all! Been in a couple of pretty serious accidents. They are no fun! God was with her during this. No question in my mind at all.

Yummy! I won't say it's certain, but there's very good chance I had some possum stew when I was a voung brat. Grew up with grandparents who were a little step above the Clampets. Not very much though. It's really amazing to think onthese things and realize we are but one, maybe 2, generations away from farming/hunting to survive society.

    Be very thankful for it!

Absolutely not. The MSM is barely even covering this story. If anything, the opposite is happening. Yesterday I went on CNN, FOX and NPR after the hearing and all 3 were talking about Hunter Biden's plea deal but there was no mention of the hearing on their main page.

Have to disagrre with you on this Erik. This line of Alien/UFO comments have been around most, if not all this year. Short duration coverage this week? Yes.

But the push to bring this to the general public continues. Why?

David, you are wiser than I thought. Those are words of wisdom (for me). Going thru a journey of faith myself, and seeing that is a great help.

And watching the outpouring of prayer for this family is a wonderful thing to see.

I love it here. My wife thinks I'm crazy, and it's probable that the's right. But I find I get centered with the association of good men. It helps me see my life with a bit more clarity.

There's a lot of those good men here.

Very good deal on a solid piece

Yes, it is. I still have the one I bought in 2008(?). Don't have a clue how much it's been used. I put a LaserGrip on it for home use. Thinking of replacing it with a laser/light combo.

In any event, these are good, solid pistols. I just might have another somewhere myself. lol.

Don't mean to detract from the OP's sale. Just mean to say that this is a good defensive pistol. Home or carry. And if I hadn't way, way overspent recently, I might be tempted to add another. They're the Shields...always room for one more.
