I don't think this is Hoselton Ventures. It's definitely in Cumberland Springs. I think this is it on google maps: turkey creek rd, tullahoma, tn - Google Maps ignore where it says turkey creek, that was just in the search field when I grabbed the link. Is Hoselton pretty good though?

Hopefully your coworker doesn't have any children 1.) Because she couldn't protect them and 2.) People that dumb shouldn't reproduce.

I'd keep the CZ 52, personally. The 7.62x25 round has excellent penetration for a pistol and is fairly cheap as well. Also, CZ has a much better track record than KelTec.

I was out cycling with my wife and her folks and we rode by this nice looking gun range with a bunch of covered shooting lanes. It was on Cumberland Springs road. Do any of you guys know anything about this range? My father-in-law wants to get back to shooting more often, but he doesn't want to do the 40min drive out to Terry Walden's place.

So if I bought 10 tons of chicken livers and dumped them all up and down I-440 it would be totally cool since they naturally compost?

What do you guys think about an SKS?

My input: Beck is worthless...as are all the other pundits. Also: About the Mormon comment: kinda inappropriate, but I personally think all of the religions are stupid, some moreso than others, but there is something to be said for standing up for what you believe in. I don't think I've ever met a halfassed Mormon, and they are all unnaturally nice.

You lucky duck. Mine was like 89.99 days.

I just got my MTAC a week and a half ago and it has been awesome. I carry a really heavy pisol and I can hardly notice it when I'm standing. When I'm sitting it's noticeable, but not uncomfortable unless I just ate a whole lot. The greatest thing about it, to me, is the fact that you can draw quickly and reholster easily whilst seated.

With that budget, I'd look into CMMG's Bargain Bin, DelTon, or Doublestar. I have an AR and it's a pretty neat piece of machinery for sure. Going from wanting a bolt action to a semi is kind of a big step, though, are you sure it's what you want?

I think I recall reading somewhere that some, if not most, carbine classes advise against rimfire and pistol caliber carbines for their classes. Is this not true?

Hey guys, I couldn't decide whether this should go here or in Tactics and Training, but since it's about carbines and this board gets more traffic, I put it here. Anyway, I know that for a typical carbine class most guys use an AR-15 or an AK, but what else would be appropriate. I need to get a rifle for my wife, so cheaper options are mainly what I'm thinking of, but I'm just fishing for info right now. Off the top of my head I can think of: AR-15 AK-47/74 SU-16 Saiga Mini-14 SKS Please discuss the notable merits of the less usual ones or specific models that you would not recommend and why.

Next time you see a can of that stuff, look at the cholesterol. It's something like 1600% of the daily value.

It is basically a ban, I know I couldn't have afforded one when I first got married. There was no such thing as saving money then, My wife and I were eating spaghetti sauce and kraft singles on top of bread slices and calling it pizza. We couldn't come up with nearly two months of grocery money to pay for a permit for even one of us. The way I see it, if the government wants to regulate one of our constitutional rights, then they had better find the money in their own budget to pay for all the sh*t we have to go through to gain access to our right, including the class.

This seems kind of questionable to me. If it is true, then by all means, string the guy up, but, based on the info I'm getting from the article, it seems somewhat implausible. I'd think the guy would have tried harder to cover it up and she would have been able to defend herself a little better. It is not completely outside the realm of possibility that this encounter was consensual due to the soldier's impaired judgement and she reported him out of regret or spite.

I think it's a cool round, I'd like an smg chambered in it or something. I've read that it has a really bright muzzle flash, though, which would be bad for night firing.

Found this experiment this guy did over at Arfcom with steel plates and a variety of pistol rounds. I found it very enlightening. AR15.COM :: Archives :: Steel Sheets o' Truth Table added P.6

You really want to hide behind that wall ??

Nice Box-o-Truth action there. I wanna do one of those sometime. I'd like to see how common rounds penetrate on plaster walls. Something tells me they won't do quite as well. -
Just got finished drinking a beer in the shower...glorious.

Up in Shawnee National Forest I found a nice wood-gripped folding razorknife partially buried in a creek bed, covered in mud with water running over it. It was rusty, but just from the razorblade in it. I snatched it up, dried it off, changed out the blade and it's still in my truck today. Also stumbled across a folding chair and a discarded shoe in the middle of a clearing in the woods in Murfreesboro.

2 steps here too. If I try to just snap the trigger back real quick, the muzzle just goes all over the place.

OOOOH I hate these idiots, I would provide the ammo!

Westboro Baptist Church is a cesspool of ignorance and backwardness. The world will not mourn the death of Fred Phelps. -
I don't even know why you'd need Critical Defense in .45. A .45 FMJ will blow a man's head clean off!

Some people just don't understand the term "DISCRETION".
