  1. That's pretty sweet. Way to be a cool dad.
  2. I'd like to try that, but I don't see it happening until I get my own land to shoot on. It seems like a very relevant thing to practice.
  3. Man, I don't particularly trust pitbulls, been around too many bad ones...but these threads are getting kinda redundant. I think I'll make like 5 threads about how burritos are really bad.
  4. Kimberchick has the right idea. Also check out www.steepandcheap.com. They put things up every half hour, so you never know when a killer deal is going to come up. I've personally had good experiences with Marmot, Ground, Sierra Designs, and Mountain Hardware. I'd definitely go with down if you can find a good deal.
  5. The link was at the bottom hidden in same-color text. Here it is: Also, I think I saw somewhere that they plan on showing it for a year, then they'll race it.
  6. Wow, the video of the engine on the dyno is absurd. That is a such a badass car. When you have 1600 at the flywheel, you can be as gaudy as you want.
  7. I can see how he might have been in reasonable fear for his life.
  8. I yell at the neighborhood punks all the time for walking through my yard. I like to think that, by virtue of me being scary, they decide their mischief is better spent elsewhere. I know exactly what house I'm going to if my property ever gets vandalized.
  9. I have a few pairs of those jeans, if they are the ones I'm thinking of (only one's that fit in both the legs and waist right at the same time). I can't tell where your hip bones are, but I figure that you have the belt riding on them and these geezers are just used to Wranglers and Bugle Boys, which have the butt pockets sitting right on your upper buttock and no slack in the bottom. If you are sagging, don't, but I can understand if you don't have any butt. You really need to get a holster with a cant. That alone will make a huge difference. Your belt is fine as long as it doesn't deform. Also, if you get a lighter gun, you won't have to worry about pulling your pants down, but then again, us young guys can't just go out and buy a gun on a whim. I carry a CZ 75 in a MTAC holster with a regular belt that I've had for 8 or 9 years and I have no problems unless I wear a really thin/short/tight tshirt.
  10. Now, that is plain cool. I can't wait to get a trust and grab up a handful of these.
  11. I get the impression that that guy was into some things that he might should not have been.
  12. If you're not super serious about backpacking and whatnot, I'd recommend this tent: Amazon.com: Wenzel Ridgeline 7 X 7-Feet Three-Person Dome Tent (Blue/LightGrey/Red): Sports & Outdoors I've had mine for years and it's never leaked, it's kept me alive in 60mph wind gusts on Grassy Ridge Bald in the Roan Highlands in -5 degree weather. It's been through conditions where REI brand tents have been destroyed. Cheap. Simple. Light. Reliable. Ugly.
  13. With fall coming, jackets are soon to follow, and with jackets comes superior concealability. How many of you guys use shoulder holsters? What are your thoughts on shoulder holster carry of a full frame pistol? Which shoulder holsters would you recommend and how much do they run?
  14. These people are pathetic, un-Christian, and un-American.
  15. Tucking in shirts doesn't prevent a kid from having a .380 in every pocket. Stupid commercial.
  16. I carry a CZ, I guess that means I'm just plain awesome.
  17. I wonder who's rig it is. Edit: Nvm, I wonder who's rig it really is.
  18. Man, this thread went from crazy to nerdy really fast.
  19. The image was linked at the site that the video was on. I searched for no such thing, lol.
  20. Worry not, the dregs of the internet are dealing harshly with this: http://i.imgur.com/V7bg2.jpg
  21. That's a pretty groovy looking blade there. Kershaw has superb customer service. I carry a leek and my wife carries a leek and her brother carries a leek and his girlfriend carries a leek. Lol, your wife carries a bigger knife than you. The designer's name is Ken Onion.
  22. Dang, looks like you made off like a bandit. Get us a range report ASAP.
