  1. Wow, ol St. Nick is a damn good shot.
  2. With a good .22 and a scope you can put 5 rounds on a quarter at 100yards. Beyond 100, your accuracy is going to go to crap. The reason for this is, in most cases, the bullet is only going a little over 1100fps (the speed of sound, supersonic speed). When it slows down along it's flight path, it will eventually cross a velocity boundary called the "transonic region" as it becomes subsonic. When this happens, the pressures and forces acting on the bullet go all crazy and will cause it to veer off its intended path. That said, I've been able to "lob" .22 bullets out to the 300m gong at a range before, but it was definitely not a sure thing.
  3. Sudan is a crap hole. The government is basically a theocracy and their economy is about as good as Haiti's. No wonder their people are fleeing by the millions.
  4. I carry CZ75BD at half-cock with a round in the chamber. Best way to carry if you ask me. Man, I just looked for this app and I couldn't find it. I wanna try this crap.
  5. Dear god, that was absolutely hilarious.
  6. Well, you know...it's your fault they stole it...
  7. Parkerize that dude!
  8. No body armor here. Modified Weaver.
  9. However much recoil it takes to blow a man out a window. I've seen it in movies.
  10. Guns & Leather is one of the first places I call about guns locally. They seem like they run a tight operation up there and I've heard nothing but good things about them. One thing that just blows my mind about all the stores here in town though, is that I could order the gun from Bud's get it shipped to their store, pay the typically high $35 transfer fee plus $10 NICS and still come out saving money rather than buying it straight from the store.
  11. I'm going to be getting an LCP soon, but I don't know where to get it from. I have had good experiences with Budsgunshop.com, but I like to help out local businesses. I called around to some places and got prices and then compared with Bud's. Cheapest I've found in town: Retail $319.99 +9.25% tax =$349.59 +$10 NICS =$359.59 Buying from Bud's: Retail $284.00 +$0 tax +$0 shipping +$1.10 money order +$10 FFL transfer +$10 NICS =$305.10 Difference: $54.49 I want to help local businesses, but not $54.49 worth. I also don't see the store service being worth $54.49. Should I try to make a deal with the store owner? I'd be willing to pay more than internet prices, of course, but only within reason. I dunno, what do you guys think?
  12. Stock NEF Pardner 12ga single-shot with 3" magnum 000 buck. Feels bad, man.
  13. Not a big Van Halen fan. Led Zep is the s**t, though.
  14. That's pretty sweet. Way to be a cool dad.
  15. I'd like to try that, but I don't see it happening until I get my own land to shoot on. It seems like a very relevant thing to practice.
  16. Man, I don't particularly trust pitbulls, been around too many bad ones...but these threads are getting kinda redundant. I think I'll make like 5 threads about how burritos are really bad.
  17. Kimberchick has the right idea. Also check out www.steepandcheap.com. They put things up every half hour, so you never know when a killer deal is going to come up. I've personally had good experiences with Marmot, Ground, Sierra Designs, and Mountain Hardware. I'd definitely go with down if you can find a good deal.
  18. The link was at the bottom hidden in same-color text. Here it is: Also, I think I saw somewhere that they plan on showing it for a year, then they'll race it.
  19. Wow, the video of the engine on the dyno is absurd. That is a such a badass car. When you have 1600 at the flywheel, you can be as gaudy as you want.
  20. I can see how he might have been in reasonable fear for his life.
  21. I yell at the neighborhood punks all the time for walking through my yard. I like to think that, by virtue of me being scary, they decide their mischief is better spent elsewhere. I know exactly what house I'm going to if my property ever gets vandalized.
  22. I have a few pairs of those jeans, if they are the ones I'm thinking of (only one's that fit in both the legs and waist right at the same time). I can't tell where your hip bones are, but I figure that you have the belt riding on them and these geezers are just used to Wranglers and Bugle Boys, which have the butt pockets sitting right on your upper buttock and no slack in the bottom. If you are sagging, don't, but I can understand if you don't have any butt. You really need to get a holster with a cant. That alone will make a huge difference. Your belt is fine as long as it doesn't deform. Also, if you get a lighter gun, you won't have to worry about pulling your pants down, but then again, us young guys can't just go out and buy a gun on a whim. I carry a CZ 75 in a MTAC holster with a regular belt that I've had for 8 or 9 years and I have no problems unless I wear a really thin/short/tight tshirt.
  23.
  24. Nickleback.
  25. Now, that is plain cool. I can't wait to get a trust and grab up a handful of these.
